  1. As far as innovation goes... PRGR pushes the envelope as much as any design Ive ever seen with the entire EGG line. The Taylormade Gloire line hasnt been done before also.
  2. I have been very impressed with the Type - R. It might be the most consistent driver Ive ever hit. I just have the stock setup at 10.5, and its MONEY. The impact feel is among the best Ive ever hit. The best way I can describe the sensation hitting this club.... Its like being on auto pilot. It is so well balanced that it seems to improve your driver swing. Ive had the club and used it for 20 rounds. I havent come close to hitting a bad shot with it. It moved to num #1 in by bag queue for drivers.
  3. Yup. THey are insanely long,. Even takiing the strong lofts into account, I can hit the PW as far as a RBZ 8. I have found that I have to go from the EGG A wedge to a 50 degree gap PING KARSTEN. I do have the AS wedge, but have more shot options around the green with the PING U wedge. The 8 iron is a serious weapon. I can use it on 180 yard shots and hit a towering high shot that drops almost straight down and stops dead in its tracks.
  4. Whats the story on the new PRGR Eggbird HIGH Repulsion driver? When will this be available?
  5. They said that about PINGS over 40 years ago.
  6. This was listed in the pro shop. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/geotech-2014-re14-a-spec-fairway-wood
  7. i like the look of the matching Aspec FW. When will that be available?
  8. You will hit several over the green until your mind accepts the fact that the A wedge is a souped up 9 iron. Im still dialing in the yardage. I air mailed a 165 yard par 3 today hitting an EASY 8 20 yards over the green. The big upside is once you get used to them and get the yardages down, you will hit the towering high shot just like the TV accu track following tour players shots., and the ball will hit an apex and just drop gently by the target.
  9. Its the dampening materials in the cavity that will soften the feel.
  10. Yup. The stock plays very similar to the Crazy Royal DECO.
  11. m a legit low handicap player. I keep the ball in play, hit a lot of greens , and my short game is good. I played college golf in the early 70s. I am also 60 years old. I grew up on persimmon and blades , but I embrace modern technology (if the design is solid) and golf equipment has been a passion of mine for 45 years. I try all designs (I even have a set of Muira tour blades with nippon dual material shafts. The SUPER EGG IS A BIG TIME BREAKTHROUGH, both in function and physical ease of use. I can hit the 7 iron 180 yards, by most modern strong lofts(26 degrees) its a -5/6 iron. Im a smooth tempo swinger and the M-40 graphite reminds me of the rifle graphite of a few years back. Very smooth. The big improvement of the SUPER EGG over the previous versions is the feel. The original EGG irons were very clanky and harsh. The 2013 EGG irons were much improved in the all around performance dept, but still had a hollow feel,. I let a buddy who is s JDM skeptic try them. He is also an engineer and is sold on the ball flight physics and results. He will be getting a set shortly. These are not for everyone. What I like best about these is the clean no offset look at address. I pick a target and fire at it. The sole sticks out thru the 9 irns but not to the degree of the EGG UTS. the wedges look very clean at address. For those wanting to experiment and not commit to the entire set , you could do worse than using the 26 degree 7 as a hybrid or you could be a fan of the EGG UTS and want to try an iron thats a good extension and implementation of the EGG UT concept.
  12. I was on a new course yesterday. Hard to assess distance. I will play my home track tomorrow and get a better feel for distance. The feel though is fantastic. A soft solid forged feel similar to the EPON TECHNITY. The ball feels like it sinks into the face and springs off with no effort. My guess was good overall distance. the entire face seemed like a sweet spot. The QUELOT has a crisp feel. The XV has an almost hotmelted solid feel, and has produced the longest hits since I reshafted it with a Honma ARMRQ 49. Ive had the best results with the GLOIRE using a GD MT 5 and a special tooll with custom weights. . Smooth , soild, easy yardage. JBeam, I am using the RAYtis Ravie shaft. There is a sweet spot on the JBEAM that is super explosive. Its somewhere HIGH center, but I cant pinpoint it. Its not the best feeling driver, kind of hollow and metallic, but very powerful when hit on the magic spot.
  13. These are by far the best version the EGG irons. They are 1 to 1.5 clubs longer than even the 2013 version (2 CLUBS LONGER than even the RBZ irons and 1 club longer given the same loft.. . Sure the lofts are 5 degrees stronger per club, They have a soft almost forged feel due to the dampening material in the cavity. I have been hitting almost tour like trajectory, and distance, with better control than the previous versions. I had to re adjust my mental approach by going 1 to 2 clubs less. Hitting an A wedge where I would hit a 9 ( A WEDGE is 45 degrees). The only club in the set that has a near normal distance is the 50 degree AS wedge. The ball flight is high and straight. very neutral, but I could play it back and hit it low if I needed to. When the ball is hit high it lands very gently at almost a 90 degree descent and just stops near its landing point. The AS wedge is a good FW club from 100 yards, and good for pitch and run around the greens ( 2 chip ins already in 5 rounds). Summary..... Combining feel, balance, performance and physical ease of use, these clubs have the biggest wow factor of any clubs Ive hit in a long time.
  14. I got the TYPE R in yesterday and tried it today. Not the longest stick on the block, but very forgiving and accurate, Maybe the best feeling JDM driver since the EPON TECHNITY.
  15. I tried the sub 40 gram project X last year. I didnt care for the feel. The MIYAZAKI super light sub 50 gram shafts felt smoother. .
  16. I have the RE14 Alpha and its fantastic. This caught my eye due to the quality control and top grade materials. What is the swing speed limit of this head to be safe?
  17. None of the above clubs had a loud sound. IN terms of feel and sound, tHe Honma was the softest, QUELOT, a crisp sound and feel, the RF 800 hard feel and clanky sound.
  18. I havent tried the AIR shaft yet but the TRPX RAYTIS RAVIE has produced the best results so far. I basically have followed the same path as tweaking the 2014 GLOIRE due to the light head weight. I bumped the weight up with JBEAM weight and also had to add a few tungsten weight pads. This club works best for me at a heavier swing weight and 204 gram head weight. There is a hot spot in this head that produces amazing results when hit on the mark. Very forgiving head across the face. Of the mark distance and direction is more than acceptable , but the pure hits are fabulous.
  19. I have hit them all except the ROYAL COLLECTION. My short take. Royal Collection XVP - Not hit. Honma Amazing Spec 480 - Fun club to hit. Great carry, forgiving, springy face, plays neutral. but Head is offered in one loft. 11.5 Only one shaft flex R , either feather shaft or the ARMRQ Q Armrq shaft would be perfect for mid 80s to low mid 90s smooth tempo swing. I had to dial back, but when timed I hit some great high carry shots. Geotech RF800 Alpha - Super low spin low launch, hard off the face. This is a hitters club. If you dont have the firepower it will be tough to handle. Quelot RE14 Alpha - Great all around club head, Crisp feel at impact, Forgiving. I hit a nice mid high controlled draw similar to the original Glorie. I havent hit the wow factor shot, but for control and all around performance and overall distance this is a top notch club.
  20. I have had the XV since spring of last year. My initial impressions were luke warm , as I love and have great results with the 388 and had high expections. I have tried several of my best shafts, with meh results until now. For kicks I had a Homma ARMRQ 49 S shaft sitting in limbo. This shaft unlocked the beast in this head. i have a smooth tempo 100 mph swing with a driver. Since the reshaft my good hits have had the optimum traits I have been looking for. PERFECT TRAJECTORY , ANGLE OF DESCENT, MAXIMUM ROLLOUT GIVEN CONDITIONS, and some of the best smash factor at impact I could ask for. Of all the drivers I have hit, I believe the S YARDs 388 and now THE XV, reward a good swing as well as anything. .
  21. I have both the RF800 and the RE14 QUELOT. The RF800 is hard off the face and low launching for A 10.5 head. I much prefer the feel of the SYARD T.388 to create a similar ball flight. We have such wet conditions this year that I need more carry. IM PUTTING It ON THE SHELF until conditions dry out. THe QUELOT is autopilot easy to hit. Even easier than the MAXIMA. It has a crisp feel at impact, and I hit a nice mid high controlled draw with good carry and distance. It plays similar to the ORIGINAL GLOIRE. I have a CRAZY RD in it.
  22. i just got the glorious head in today. I Put in a TRPX Raytis Touale shaft. club length 46 inches. I ordered the 12 degree head at square face angle, 195 grams and used the JBEAM/CRAZY weight kit to get the weight up to 201 grams. WE have had record rainfall this year, and IM going for more lofted drivers to get maximum carry. I am curious about the AIR shaft.
