  1. I cant say who makes them, but Ive been using the Royal DTP Driver since February. Its a big time quality club , right there with JBEAM , Ryoma, Honma, etc.
  2. Maruman Shuttle. Zodia OZ. Tour Edge Exotics EX9 Longspec (off the tee), EX9 tour, EX9 fairway. Callaway Mini Driver (off the tee) Ping Rapture (off the tee)
  3. Ive hit the Superman driver. The head felt bulky thru the ball. Average distance for me. The Ryoma Beyond Power ST is still the standard to beat for HIgh Cor drivers. Geotech Quelot RE16 α-SPEC Premium Limited Driver and the PRGR 2015 Super Egg Driver round out the top 3. High Cor Drivers. Ive hit.
  4. I have the ZODIA OZ fws (3 & 5) and the performance is fantastic. They are like a SONARTEC Royal Collection on steroids. Great off the tee or FW.
  5. On the ordering page you can choose face angle, head weight, and shaft flex? What about the total club length? I saw nothing on the order page.
  6. Anyone hit the ZY SPEED shaft? I have had very good results with the YAMAKAZI pro shaft and was curious about this shaft.
  7. I have the 2013 GIII and its the longest HIGH COR JDM driver Ive hit.
  8. The longest driver depends on what best for each user and their specific swing.
  9. The ON OFF Shingo Limited (eye 2 influenced design) 58 degrees Its not JDM but the Callaway PM grind wedges are incredible. I use the 58, Great out of the sand and around the green lob shots. I am never out of a hole at saving par with the pm 58. Available in 56 58 60 and 64 degrees.
  10. Ive noticed some versions of these heads have a valve in the front part of the bottom cavity. The picture in top of this thread shows the even loft (conforming). Every picture I have seen of the nonconforming heads (10.5 11.5) doesn't have a valve. Is this correct?
  11. A local vendor in my area had a 4 star BERES S-05 driver with my specs and I made a trade to get it. I am very impressed at just how consistent the performance of the 4 star shaft is and its a BIG UPGRADE over the 2 star. . The Beres is a quality driver. I found this as good as any JBEAM or RYOMA setup Ive hit. Its in my bag and I will use it in my next tournament. I am autopilot to hit the FW with the S-05 and the distance and dispersion is as tight as any driver i have hit.
  12. Fujikura DODECAGON. http://kamuiworksjapan.com/kamui-km-300-driver-high/
  13. I would love to see a test and review of this club. The spring concept is interesting.
  14. I have hit a few Honma drivers over the years. Most have been 2 star models, all with good to excellent performance. What is the performance advantage a 4 star shaft gives you? (distance , dispersion etc).
  15. The Maruman Shuttles are fantastic. Another wow factor fw that delivers is the ZODIA OZ.
  16. I finally had a chance to get 5 rounds on the course with these drivers. i wasnt impressed with the XPG. A hard feel off the face and average distance. I got great results with the DTP. It was a bit of a learning curve to groove it as the club is 47 inches long, and the shaft plays similar to the AIR SPEEDER. You must have a slow deliberate tempo or the shaft will get out of sync. Smooth tempo shots are rewarded nicely. I have hit my longest shots of the winter season with the DTP when I time it correctly. Maybe not the best club for head wind conditions, with the stock shaft, but calm or downwind its a carry monster. My course is so wet due to winter storms and dormant Bermuda grass. , roll cant be evaluated properly. The DTP is a great feeling head. I have hit several Yonex driVerS since the NANOSPEED ERA and IT IS THE BEST FEELING YONEX HEAD SINCE THE EZONE 380.
  17. I have a ZODIA OZ 3W and a 5w. I havent hit the 5w yet on the course but the 3w is a cannon and easy off the deck. Its like a SONARtec dense feel and Exotics explosion off the face. I went with my gamer ALDILA TOUR GREEN 65 as that has been a money fw shaft for me. Between the ZODIA OZ and Maruman shuttle , they are the best fws Ive hit.
  18. i just got one of each. Royal DTP arrived yesterday and the XPG tomorrow. I went to the range but drew a really horrible batch of range balls, as all the good balls cant be picked up due to soft ground conditions and they had to get these out of storage for winter snow short supply days.. . .Ball flight was very good but there was no life left in the balls to get decent distance. The cover and dimple were worn out. (muni range conditions at its worst) The Dtp is the best balanced 47 inch driver Ive tried and also had a great feel off the face considering how bad the range balls were. . The XPG comes tomorrow, and I will finally have a decent weekend for the 1st time in weeks (temps in the 60s) to test them in real course conditions on my home track. . .
  19. I watched that video and the numbers if true are impressive. I looked up the specs of the DTP and the club length is 47 inches long. All three of the testers didnt swing fast but had well balanced swings and made good contact.
  20. You nailed it in your assessment. High, straight, average length. I would like to see a modified conforming design with a stronger loft and upgraded shaft.
  21. Ive hit a bunch of these. On the JDM side the longest Ive hit was the GLOBERIDE GIII 2013 model. The most consistent and easiest to hit is the Honma Amazing Spec 480 with the ARMRQ 3 star shaft. I hit some long drives with the Ryoma ST Beyond Power but havent dialed it in. The longest Ive ever hit to date is a club called the M80 Lightspeed from TPFGOLF, using a Gramman GMAXX shaft at a club length of 46.5 inches.
  22. I had an itch to try this because it is so different. It is not the longest driver Ive ever hit, but its very consistent on average overall distance, and it excels in accuracy. I am a fairly accurate driver ( normal shape is a slight draw), but I hit 14 of 14 fws (splitting them dead center) the 1st time I tried this club. The ball basically wants to go dead straight. It does hit high (head was at least 13 degrees), and I couldn't judge roll as we are in winter swamp fairway season now. The stock R shaft doesn't play as soft as some JDM R flexes. It was made for the IYA DO MO and felt stable. The head was a bit light and I added 6 grams worth of lead tape on the back of the club.
  23. There is actually something similar called the Zero Torque driver available.
  24. What happened to the XXIO products in the pro shop?
