  1. On vacation at the beach plus this. thank you for the advance birthday gift. I'll send an email when I get home.
  2. Crazy Type A. trying to transition to lighter iron shafts, might as well do it in my driver. I have been pretty safe in JDM shafts, basically GD for the past 4-5 years. It might be time to try something less JDM mainstream. maybe something crazy?
  3. Conditions we play and what pros play are so different. Their greens are much firmer and faster, I would guess that is why they need the extra 2 degrees that we wouldn't in our conditions. I have both 58/60 in the same model Callaway wedge. I use the 60 because my primary home course has small hard greens and I use is only 40yards in. I switch to the 58 in my other home course where it is shorter/wider and I have a lot of 75-80 yard shots on 4-5 short par 4s.
  4. Has the MCI always been an MOI/swingweight concept or is it just the black?
  5. Only a few pictures. It was raining and cold. We ended up playing only 9 holes.
  6. It was raining and foggy but when clear this is the supposed view.
  7. I didn't see that. Probably because I went twice during breakfast time. Next year on the way to Hokkaido.
  8. My daughter and I have a tradition of eating in McD's in every foreign country because each one has something different; bulgogi burger, arabia wrap, etc.. There was nothing different I saw on the Japan menu. Even our "normal" bento box lunches were good. Golf pictures in the next few days.
  9. Fantastic Chinese food in Japan. The shrimps were brought in live and were drowned in wine before cooking.
  10. Forgot the name. 10minute walk from my hotel (Yokohama Garden). The Tempura is cooked right in front of you.
  11. As incoming Rotary President I visited our sister clubs in Japan. Rotary club of Yokohama-Konan, Rotary Club of Kamakura, and Rotary club of Tatebayashi. 6 days of meetings, golf (18 in Susono Country Club, 9 in Shonan seaside -we got rained out) and FOOD Hatsuyoshi. Lobster was still moving when it got to the table.
  12. Only stores I can find online are golf partner and Victoria. Worth the 25minute cab ride?
  13. Shipping, actually duties, are hit or miss for me. I need something to do as well those late afternoons.
  14. I'll be here 5 days with late afternoons free. Bag is set, so basically looking for deals.
  15. So he does it aftermarket on existing putters? How much weight does it lose? That GF mallet I bought needs treatment, since I like the Bettinardi fit face I guess this could be an option for that.
  16. Looks like the system Ray Cook used to use. Looks like the hosel of my old Austin putter. And yes it works.
  17. Sorry for the bad pic. More like a frosted finish.
  18. Being offered to me for $90. A little chatter, no major dings, the ones I see on google image have weights of the face. This doesn't. No face milling.
  19. I thoroughly researched when I had the FF (non h), the X 300 FCI, 300 Forged (Japan and US), even the 300 NS in a span of 3years. Very limited JDM knowledge anywhere online at that time. Most of my info was a fellow equipment freak (very good am) who was Japanese and who would go home to Japan 2/3xs a year. From what I recall the h was for Tanaka. Slight change in grind iirc. Most player's clubs from the Japan of that era had sharper leading edges because of general turf conditions in Japan courses in the early 90s. I can't remember the specific change though. Of course they could still be heavier as well. The h usually came with s400 as stock. My FF had Rifles as stock. In the end I liked the 300 Forged (Japan) the best. It came with A and S wedges that were also forged and did not have the huge gooseneck/offset look that the A and S wedges of the FF had. Great set at a great price.
