  1. I have to support the new Nike One Platinum as well. The past models always ballooned off the driver for me, i tried the One Black this year along with the Cally iX and really like the iX better since the Black was so spinny of the driver, i didn't even mess with the Platinum. HOWEVER, i found one of the course a few weeks ago and played it in for fun... amazing. Then i played the next round with it as well and had to buy a dozen. Not sure if anything will get them out of my bag now. For me, the Platinum spins less off the driver than the Black, the iX, and the Pro V1/Pro V1x. Yet is perfect off the irons and really good around the greens as well. This is the bal i have been looking for for a long time.
  2. Hmm.. What part of his clubs are from Japan? His iron/wedge shafts are made in the US... The heads are made in Fort Worth TX, so maybe the Grips, ferrules, and wood shafts are made in japan... does that count?
  3. A reporter asked Mr. Nelson one time if todays equipment would have made him shoot better scores. Mr. Nelson replied "absolutely not... technology only helps on miss**t shots and i hit the center every time" he was being absolutely serious!!
  4. My Sugestion would be a PM702x By Graphite Design. Cheaper solution might be a Grafalloy Prolite 35 or a ProLaunch Red. But I'm not sure if anything would get it down to 2000 with the same swing. 16* and 4000 is like a 3 wood number. He needs a little less loft and as high a kick shaft as possible.
  5. Here area coulple of "What If's" For ya. What if Nike USA came out with an 800.00 driver? Would you buy it? What if you could simulate the $200 movable Weight technology... with a $3.00 roll of lead tape? What if .830 COR meant .830 COR and there wasn't anything you could do about it? What if the avarage driving distance on the PGA tour went up 30 yds in 10 years and the scoring average stayed around the same? What if you hit it 50yds further... into the woods... and then couldn't find your $5 golf ball? What if you guys are out of your minds and should be spending the $1500 of that $3000 you spent on clubs that don't make you better on Swing lessons and sports Psycology that WOULD make you better?
  6. I have had the CLK and it quickly got replaced the first time i hit the Sonartec MD (19'). The Sonartec has a rock solid feel, good solid sound, wants to go straight but can be bent both ways, and gives me the ball flight i'm looking for from 220-240 out. It really is weapon on the par fives and compliments my 13' T-60 FW nicely.
  7. Ended at almost $1200!!!  :money: Somone must have really liked it!
