  1. the newer tw-u ( driving iron ) is a superb addition for the top end esp if u are a good iron player. its better than the older model but the older model is MUCH more forgiving much easier to hit and feel like a sponge , i still game mine a ton with the vizard shaft. 21* i have, love that. i had a tw-u 24* DI but i re built some prgr 900 irons with proper shafts and they just blew me away so i aced the honma. these are in betwwn the new and old honmas. the tw-u is great club and a much better option for the heaftier striker. my old 21* tops out right on 200. not a yard more can i scrape from it. if u need to just " hit to distance over there somewhere 190y + " this thing is awsome. if u like " well, im thinking i shud draw this off that tee line , over the lip and have it spin back 2.4 yards, the new TW-u is the better option. u cud do much worse than ahe the 21* old and 24* new in the bag.
  2. brand new perfect pro cord. hens teeth !
  3. not any more bud, got an injury that i need to sort , i had everything in the bag last year. incl the kitchen sink, i had one of my best years ever, massivle clawed back strokes on hcap to consistantly play off 5 with more than a few par rounds at my new course . struggeld with driver consistancy mid year but recouped that in winter and figured out my irons . allowed me ot play about with all manner of bag set ups. i get the driver going to 250>260 out to -> 275 ish (big, ish these days...) injury has really cut my length down HUGE. but all arms and some core get me to about these dustance, which ill take considering!!!!!!! 2w > 12.8* for 230- 250 3w> 14/15* 210- 240 4w> 16/17.5* 200-220 5w> 18* 190-210 utes: 19*> 200- 230,, depeneds on which ute , on the tee the fourteen ut716 can really get out thjere a ways up to 230+/- cant hit it off the deck so use the RC cvxer from grass 210 im topped out. 23*>190 then my new built (OLD BUT UNREAL prgrs) 3and 4 irons 3> 200 4>190 irons are totally random bec i use so many but i find the masda mbs are prob the longest and lowest. pw tops at 120. wedges are really shiitttt distance consistancy wise as a rule, max out at 52* > 105 56* > 80 60*> 70 ish ???? my best combo for constant distance with the PW are the prgr trs they go 110 and 80 but are 51/57 i will always throw a 48* proper wdge in the bag , my fave is the honma 105p that goes a solid 120 max but i can get it to go any distance up tp really bec of its shape- a- bility prowess. up top pf the bag i dont give a rats what the distance is dont care, i usually hit the farways a huge % of the time so i dotn care about distance, the fws ar very similar so im more concrened with waht shape i want to play , form crazy fw big think clubs to the sleek prgr egg or ryoma f3 whcih ever i feel will give me the best feel on the grass on that day, or a lot of the time ill bag 3 utes , 2 19s with totally differnt shape distance and flights the fourteen 716 with diamana stinger and the RC cvxer with DGs200 + the RC cvxer with Ns 950s between thse 3 utes i hav 185/225 100% completley covered. in fact on comp, esp in wind........... this is what ill bag a lot and drop the 3/4 irons. and fws , keep the 2w and driver the main focus i worried about ( not now bec of the new wedge @ 48* ) was hte awful pw in most sets , like u i pretty much hate all PW apart from MB irons , masda, nad the 2 sets of honma mb711/712 has by far and away the best pw set, nothing is close. ive lost all concerns with distance in irons bec theres fk all ican do about it, its more gettign that 5/6/7 hones in becthats waht i hit the most, i almost nver use an 8 or 9 pw, that 2nd shot in is never that short any more. the big issues ihave is making sure, the pw/52/56 are in sync , if thats good then im ok . as a rule driver -260 2wood from tee only 240 3w from fairway 230 19* ute 215 23* ute 200 irons 5i 180 6i 170 7i 160 8i 150 9i 135 48* 120 52* 105 56* 85 Inside the dstances i wil usually use the higher club and cut it , 140 ill always go the 8 and cut it rather than muscle the 9. esp the wedges , ill sometmes take th 48* for 100 yards an cu the ears ofi it to the pin.
  4. oh ok, so its decent. might pop this in for a refurb then,
  5. what this worth fellas? given to me as a fk u im over golf present. sell or refurb? i like the shape and copper insert feels fab of course
  6. what this worth fellas? given to me as a fk u im over golf present. sell or refurb? i like the shape and copper insert feels fab of course
  7. very very smooth shaft 52g cpm240 "higher launch long distance for swingers that want more distance without loss of energy..................................................." yea, i see that . it definitely gets out there thats for sure and higher. just too whippy for me. had it for winter golf but ive played almost no golf over winter ,so very happy to move it along now. this wud definitely suit not so robust hitters looking to maximise thier distance its not workable it pure point/shoot, the ryoma d1 is one of the longest fw heads ive ever hit ..still!!..and this shaft is a perfect match for it....... alas just not for me. condition is great , its been a solid gamer for my bud i swapped it with , face is spotless, theres a cpl o age marks as u can see but nothing egregious whatso ever , its a great piece. shipping via EMS jpn. tracking , insurance. $229 delivered
  8. i play the dr 88 ts model. and its a fkkn GREAT SHAFT!!!!! tight and high but not not floaty nor soaring , its kinda a stra8 shooter and the feel is superb! not overly fond of the hook , misses tend to be right hit afew of the lighter ones ur after and didnt mind them one bit but have plenty of similar specs the one ur after is a slightly flightier shft comaprd to mine , mid 50g from memory lower easier cpm about 250 +/- ??? they are pretty torquey so not a railway sleeper to hit if u can grab one cheap...... get it! mine was somwehre round 800 bux
  9. one of the nicest impacts if u like pure butter. i tried to like these but just too big and soft.
  10. ha... these arnt blades they are almsot baseball bats
  11. 2 more to the bags for the year and it over kamui pro tp09 10* - NS 950 dr sahft steel 45inch RC bbds 10.5* NS 950dr steel 45inch the steel guys. the RC is very light , airy and tingy , high launch all carry 338gram . so soso soso so so easy to hit, i made it as a range tool to improve my swing speed but it eneded up playng very well and is taking a bag spot on occasions for must hit fairways, its that concistant. its not long, but its no slouch and as said its preposterously straight and high.theres a cpl of holes i play that require nothing more than to hit the faiway 260ish and im in range for wedge pin attack . any miss tiny left of right, its the trees OB or the water AND its always very windy , always, i never hit driver on these, more oft lay up with 3 wood then have a 5 or 6 to the green, with this thing tho ,, its like playing a huge 3 wood and it goes 240carry just by looking at it . its the perfect club! in fact it was so relaiable i had to make another SS trainer so i built the kamui pro tp 09s 10*, same steel shaft but at 350g, slightyl differing resutls with this, very thumpy, dull, muted impact, VERY nice to hit in the hands. its heavy, its slow and it accelerates with force , it is what its made to do, after hititng this for a bit then going back to proepr driver, it feels like a wand, its playable for sure, not the most left hand seide friendly, not going to get a lot of daw out of this, LOTS of potenetial slice, so its a fantastic tool to train the body to hit left, any mistake and it just goes right. played it last week, got a few out of the middle and its pretty darn good, gets out there, its longer than the RC for sure but not for gaming. really does a good job of getting the bod in tune. can do worse than make one.
  12. ive put my 12* solid contacts back in the the bag when i move back to the tips and need the extra yardage , more for a few "( not really" shorter par4s .) had a diamana thump in it and ver yquickly found out that wasnt the best idea off the deck , thats is getting redeployed, the diamana illima has made a lovely repalcement, a bit lighter feel, smidge higher flight easier to getinto dont feel like i have to kill it to get it to fly. never really bene into the red board stuff, but am fast becoming an avid fan, its not weak, just lighter in the hands. excellent fw shaft
  13. if its for the drakon guys , then id be 99% sure is not closed. square at worst.
  14. yup , right i rem this one. caught my eye bec. im redoing a few longer 2 wood types , makes it easier if u use a flightier shaft im very quickly dicovering!
  15. tpm looks so nice whats the wood?
  16. 1985/86 , even up to 88, there seems to be no definitive agreed upon year of release, none i can guarantee, my contacts here all say the same "about 86 ish " so , here you go, my full set at the range tour forged model re shafted with NS DP X. original DG400r with Pins and hosel furling , u can see the shaft hole. master said they were abugger of a thing to reshaft but agreed to bec, ( doing so was VERY expensive ! ) and they are in easily the best cond. he had seen a current set. i had to keep the 3i with original shaft . yea , so i played them sat. and there really is no loss of THAT forged feel with these over EVERY other set i have, il notice they are a bit thinner when u dont center them but middled shots are like your fist sip of an Asahai super dry post game in August , AND the new shaft compliments these superbly, gives then a higher flightier arc, ball lands on a penny zips about willy nilly low COG, 31 @ 23*- 49pw very workable to draw shots , but found they were a bit tougher to cut, my opinion is they prefer to be hit straight or with a slight draw more than be arced and use flight control for movement. that 4.8 face progression is noticeable in the short irons and hooking a pw or 9 watching it rip grass to pieces IS SO much fun i flushed a 6i on the 17th , 174y on the par3 to a tap in on sat . i almost ran onto the green singing it felt that good. i definitely notice they are a thinner feel than full, u know immediately where u have hit the ball on every shot. even slightly miss hits near center tell u the story but don't necessarily kill the shot. frames the ball well with a longer thinner blade . thin sole very thin top line. very straight at address. if u can find em, grab em , .they will bring a.smile. proper, these were forged by ENDO in japan , not thailand. make s no odds but nice.to have a set 100% locally. i dont play them that often, certianly not as oft as i wud like , but when i do im reminded of how good a soft forged iron really is, .......... regarldess of age~
