  1. Update on my "mostly" PRGR bag.... RS5 fairway replaced with Epic Speed 4w. Unfortunate but I enjoy hitting the Cally more. TR500 irons are very smooth and soft at impact. May have to do a head to head against the GR Forged. TR500 I feel has a smaller sweet spot compared to the Tourstage GR Forged. I lose more distance with the TR when I miss the center compared to the GR. I need to go hunt down some PRGR Wedges. DR: PRGR RSF Proto πŸ€/ Loop GK 4W: Callaway Epic Speed / Loop FW6TS 4-PW: PRGR TR500 / NS Super Peening Red AW/SW: Cleveland RTX4 Forged / NS Super Peening Red PT: Gold's Factory T102 Prototype
  2. My TR500 just got SP Reds. They feel really good. The SP Reds give a sharper feel through impact compared to a Modus 120. I got Regular flex and they actually work well for me. I don't feel the need for a Stiff.
  3. yea... I can agree to those graphs and where the Modus 120S is positioned. 120 is an outlier when it comes to CPM. They are so soft compared to others.
  4. Thanks for posting your test data!! Glad to see that you were able to find what works for you. I am surprised that 115X and 120X were similar for you. My understanding was that 115 were a lot more stout than the 120 series. Modus 120X CPM is supposed to be really close to the Modus 105S My experience with the Modus 120 S is that it is comparable to other R shafts ( from a flex perspective that is ) Anyway... my desire to try the 115 has diminished for the time being as I am switching to Regular shafts in my irons and to my understanding, Modus 115 do not come in Regular flex. Project X LZ 5.5 were my gamers but I just reshafted my '12 Tourstage GR Forged to 5.0 shafts and they are further soft stepped x 1 . For my PRGR TR500 I just installed a set of SP Red in R1 flex also soft stepped x 1 . Previously I'd thought that these regular flex shafts will do me more harm than good ... but this time around, I feel that they are going to allow me to swing easier with my irons thus improving my accuracy. I test them out today after 3 weeks of near by ranges being closed due to snow!! Fingers crossed!! πŸ™‚
  5. Happy New Year All! Last year I diligently kept track of all my round stats. So now I can set goals for improving them in the coming season! My golf stats goal for 2022!! 2 putts or better: 92% -> >95% GIR: 56% -> >60% Driving Accuracy: 68% -> >70% Score Average: 77.5 -> <75 From a play perspective, I need to spend more time practicing around the green shots. Green side bunker shots need to get a lot closer to within 1 putt zones. As for equipment, I need to try and stick to a single set for my actual rounds. Obviously I'll still play around with other sets occasionally for fun. What are all your golf goals this year? πŸ™‚
  6. happy to help. and welcome to the forum!! πŸ™‚
  7. https://www.prgr-golf.com/archive_clubs/I-2-super-egg-iron-iron.html The 2014 (yours) look to be conforming. The 2015 "New Super Egg" irons are not . https://www.prgr-golf.com/archive_clubs/I-111-2015-super-egg-iron.html
  8. Hi nice sets of irons!! Per BST posting rules, please include in the photo a piece of paper with your name and date so that all of us can see that you actually have these irons under your possession. Thanks!!
  9. Lowered to rock bottom prices! RSF Prototype 10.5 Single Clover head available as well in anyone is interested.
  10. Oh yea.. forgot about those. The NanoV Nextage Forged were my entrance into JDM clubs. Had ridiculously heavy DG TI S400 shafts in them but they were marshmallow soft when hitting the sweet spot. I might give those a go again!!
  11. I don't think the heads have been bent. It's just the offset is so much less than what I have been playing lately. Slight adjustment was needed in my swing. With the GR forged I've been trying hard to not hit it left .... that same swing with the TR translates to hitting it to the right. When I go back to a more natural swing, the TR500 draws just right for me. So I am now rethinking about whether offset in irons helps me out or not. Project X shafts work well for me based on a fitting I did 2 years ago. With other shafts, I was not getting enough back spin. LZ gave me good back spin which helped me hit more straighter shots. On the other hand, I have a set of Monaco S sitting idle and I know how those work in TR500 since I've tried Cuistot's set a while ago which I believe came from you Supo. Exquisite feeling combo that thing was!!
  12. I've got two PRGR drivers that I can use with this set. '16 Tour Issue RS and a RSF Proto Single Clover I've shafted the '16 with a Tour AD PT High Mod 6S and the RSF Single Clover with a Loop GK. 5 Wood is RS5 with a Loop FW6TS ... TR500 irons 4-PW Wedges 50 & 56 Cleveland RTX4 Forged (JDM) Gold's Factory T102 Irons are shafted with Project X LZ 5.5 now but I don't think these are the shafts. Will be tinkering further. πŸ™‚
  13. thanks!! I had tried the Data 601 before and really liked how it felt. Believe they were Miura forged. I'll need to look for some 801s now... how about the old Super Tourney M205R or M305R from Macgregor? another classic that look forgiving.
  14. For those in North America, Happy Thanksgivings!! Hope you are all spending quality time with your loved ones!!
  15. I've owned and played a few forgiving one piece forged irons in the past. While I am not particularly long with my irons and I can play blades all day long, but I actually prefer to play irons with a lot of forgiveness without sacrificing feel and sound. I'm okay with sub standard (weird) looks. They just need to be really easy to hit. To name a few that I have tried previously: - Mystery WNC710 - Fourteen TC-340 - 2012 Tourstage X Blade GR Forged (current gamers) What others are out there? Maybe the original Egg Forged?
  16. Those are Titleist Japan Select Store items which usually means you need to buy them directly from Titleist Japan Select Stores located in Japan. Similar to Callaway Exclusive items. but definitely check with Chris.
  17. The PRGR 00 look sweet for sure and being Miura made, I am certain that they feel heavenly too. The surprise with the TR500 in my first range session was that the balls flew straight or with a slight fade. My current gamers, the '12 X-Blade GR Forged from 2012 are very easy to draw perhaps because of the additional offset. Perhaps the lack of offset wit the TR500 are straightening my shots. but then again it might have been the DG S200 that affected the ball flight. My TR500 heads are now curing in the LZ 5.5 shafts. I may take them out for a range session tomorrow after my men's club round in the morning.
  18. Thanks Ian. Sure. here are the comparo's Toe to Heel Length: TR500 > EZone Sole Width: TR500 > EZone Top Line: TR500 > EZone Toe Shape: Ezone is pointier Offset: EZone > TR500 (maybe a perception thing but it looks that way to me) Feel: TR500 feels softer than EZone Forgiveness: TR500 > EZone TR500 on the left
  19. After getting the RSF Prototype driver and the RS5 Fairway wood, I thought it would only be appropriate to pursue a near compete PRGR bag... So... last week I picked up a set of TR500 irons in pretty decent condition... They arrived at my doorsteps this morning and I took them out to the range after work with the stock DG S200 shafts... I was surprised at how forgiving it was for a set of forged irons as pure as they come. They also felt buttery soft but the shafts were too darn heavy for me. So my Ezone MB heads were removed from my Project X LZ 5.5 shafts this evening and they are going to be replaced with the TR500 heads tomorrow. These are going to be really sweet. This Secondary bag will consist of: DR: PRGR RSF Proto πŸ€/ Loop GK 5W: PRGR RS5 5W / Loop FW6TS 4-PW: PRGR TR500 / Project X LZ AW/SW: Cleveland RTX4 Forged / Modus PT: Gold's Factory
