  1. Nob-san is talking about the new 115 iron shafts. They have only been released so far in the limited edition black finish for the 10th anniversary, rumour is these are coming in the regular chrome/red graphics but it is still up in the air if/when they do become available.

*The 10th anniversary version releases first and is limited to 2000 sets. The regular release is scheduled for the new year.

Scheduled to be released on November 12
    Limited to 2,000 sets

    Limited quantity model
    "NSPRO MODUS³ TOUR115
10th Anniversary Limited" is on sale!

"NSPRO MODUS³ TOUR 115" is the fifth NSPRO MODUS³ for irons that expresses a new approach to versatility that condenses the philosophy of the MODUS³ brand cultivated over the 10 years since the brand was born.

Utilizing the versatile design / manufacturing technology that Japan Shaft is proud of, the operation performance that meets the diversifying ballistic control needs and the power to capture the golf course with a more linear and stronger trajectory, mainly originating from the USPGA tour A high level fusion of straight-line performance that corresponds to the style of golf.

The shaft characteristics that follow the swing are versatile to meet the needs of the player, regardless of the swing or head characteristics. Four existing models are available to meet clearer ballistic needs. Each is a complete lineup that stands out even more.

Utilizing the know-how that has continued to meet the needs of tour professionals and athlete golfers around the world for 10 years since its release, we will meet new needs with a shaft weight (S = 118.5g) that corresponds to the latest club settings.

For the 10th anniversary model, the black velor plating unique to Japan Shaft, which is different from the normal line, is adopted with the silver logo print that is used only for special models. In addition, the "10th Anniversary Limited" logo is also printed. We will deliver it in a special cosmetic with limited specifications that can only be obtained with a commemorative model.

  2. gregoire56, i will see if i can find a pic, but i sold it ages ago, but i had a fujikura prototype made for tiger, was all black, had a yellow label at the butt end, TGW02-SPD, so tiger woods i assume prototype 02 speeder, i do not remember how many grams it was but well north of 110

  3. How come the latter "mizuno pro" irons from the last couple years were never available via the yoro program? It appears you can get a different finish on the mizuno pro 120, but not the ability to change stamping or grinds.

.I am talking the mizuno pro 118 and the mizuno pro 120 with regards to them never being made available via yoro....seems like this was a foreshadow and once the remaining stock of the mp series was depleted that was the end of the yoro program.....

  4. grips are one of those things though...i do not have the biggest hands and prefer a "thinner grip" i always have the thinnest layer of grip tape possible installed, and always have it stretched when on to make it just a fraction thinner...

to me a .580 or m58 grip on a .600 shaft does not really equate to "bigger"i think it makes the grip feel thicker if that makes any sense....

  5. FE chemical symbol ferrum or iron

Gives the club a softer feel, there are less impurities, less carbon content, hence the 99.3% pure iron and much softer feeling.

Bridgestone Japan and their Tourstage line many years ago, used 99.3% pure FE in the limited edition maru wedges, i think for two years i maybe wrong, 2004 and the 2005 x-wedge maru.

Miura now does some of their wedges in 99.3%, and they also did a limited version of the cb-1008 in 99.3%

  6. So Miura Giken is once again bringing back 99.3% pure Fe in their irons. The last time was the CB-1008 from a couple years ago.

These TB-Zero 99.3% will come in two finishes; Double Nickel Chrome Satin Mirror and a new finish called SQP Black, the SQP is said to be as soft as copper under nickel.

Specs are the same as the regular TB-Zero and no MCW options on these. I know with the CB-1008 99.3% they were different than the regular CB-1008 but that is not the case with these.

Apparently these are available for pre-order till the end of the month (April, 30) with delivery in the fall, October/November or something along those lines.

I do not want to speak for him, but I am sure Chris would be able to get you a set should you so be inclined.

On to the pics.....(sorry went a little pic crazy)

*I think the irons are all #7 so if you see address pics that is what a #7 looks like

**the last picture shows a comparison between the new SQP black and MCW finish option D52 Matte Black Boron

Amen...  BUT on the flip side.

Many of those who had their house in order are saving money without the expenses of vacation, restaurants, child care and large purchases.

I also invite you to realize the financially savvy are either siting on the side lines,  shorting, or buying at lower prices.. big boys doing credit default swaps too.

Great time to reposition so don't be the guy slapping yourself for not making moves when markets return to their highs.

care to share any insight on what stocks would be good to buy now, with the chance to cash in when the markets rebound?

these are great at mashing your potatoes.... and I'm sure they are great putters - but good luck finding dudes willing to pay close to 3 grand for a flat stick.

How many pay $3k+ for Scotty Cameron "tour" putters that have never even hit the tour bags at a tour event?

  9. Nob,

I know this will probably apply to the driver only for now, but look at how many top PGA pros are playing driver shafts in the 60gram range, Dustin Johnson played the 661 2.0 tour spec, and is now in a ventus black 6-x, Tiger is in a 60 gram  D+, I think its a lot more common now...

For your iron shafts are you looking at strictly graphite? what about a modus 105? or the 950 either GH or  GH HT(high trajectory)

Would be curious to see what you are leaning on irons wise as well...seeing as how we are both in the market for something very similar.

  10. thanks for the replies everyone...

i am totally ok with older models; the only caveat being the condition of the heads must be brand new, so if i could find a brand new set of the yamaha tour's from 11/12/13 i would be all over them,

so yes older models are fine, provided i can still find a set brand new (which is not so hard to believe, as there was a brand new set of mr-23 us blades for sale less than a month ago on yjp auctions)

  11. Hey everyone,

so my quest to get to one bag has begun, I have sold most items (although still have 2 brand new sets of wedges (a grind black limited and first run chikara prototype) that i am still looking to sell, as well as a brand new golds factory private stock no.2

my goal is to start fresh from the ground up and to build one bag, no excess.

*I have a driver; JBeam J3 Tour and putter; Grandista McQueen GSS on order through TSG

Irons are next up on my list; I am thinking players CB. Would love everyone's help.

A Grind R1 CB? Miura Giken TC-101 ordered through miura craftsman world the way I want. But really am open to suggestions, thoughts.

Anything out there in S20C that would fit my criteria?

  12. speaking of handrolling shafts, for the launch of all the mitsubishi tensei tour prototypes a couple years ago, think pro orange v1 and pro orange v2, mitsubishi had them(the initial run of less than 100 tour prototypes) hand rolled in japan, i wonder if it was syncagraphite who did that for them?
