  1. Hi, I have just fitted Rombax 5X07 flex R on my FT5. The old shaft was Fit On 150 flexR. My swing speed is 92 with smooth tempo. By putting the Rombax on I reduced the total weight to 305G, which is a lot easier for me to swing, I also use a 44G grip. The swing weight was up a bit to D2.4, and the length is 44.75. The club is now a lot easier to swing, I can hit a bit longer on mis**t, on good hit it can go up to about 240 carry. Now my average drive on my home course is about 245 yards ( carrry+ roll), and solid good hit could go up to 265. The Rombax is amazing, the ball go up on a nice trajectory, no ballon, but for a hard hitter it may hook , I tried to really go after it a few time and it will hook every single time , my fastest speed is 97. Anyway I am not a club tester, so I can only give information on what I think and feel, it could be totally wrong. I just want to say I love the shaft, it gave me a little more distance, stay in the fairways more often, and give me pleasing trajectory, and I also will put another one on my Rapture soon.
  2. Hi, I bought a used set. in nippon steel last year. I paid $1,000 US for them. They are quite forgiving especially the long irons. The feel is not super soft, it is crisp when you hit the sweet spot, the sound is very pleasing. The look is stunning, if I compare to a car, it is more like a Porsche than a Ferrari. It is easy to handle, yet has all the look and power you need. The most I like about it is that these irons have true loft (ie, PW is 48 degree), which make it easy to match to a good set of wedge. The new one is quite expensive though, and a used set is very hard to find. Anyway I love them and I think they will be in my bag for quite a while. Regards, Rit
  3. It should be fine for you. I do not know my swing speed, my 7 iron distance is 150 yards, and I have the exact same shaft you asked in my driver, which is awesome. A word of caution, I broke this shaft twice, both at the same place, at the butt end about 3 inches from the top of the butt. It was very strange, the first time I use the shaft for only 2 rounds (28 hits), and it broke in my grip. I got a claim for a new one, then I use for about 3 months (no driving range hits at all, because I do not have time to go to driving range), I played about 25 rounds in those 3 months, and it broke again at the same place. Mamiya people will give me a claim for only half the price this time ( I have to pay 50% for a new shaft ), so I am considering changing to other brands. Any way it is an awesome shaft, may be only me that a bit unlucky.

  6. A couple of weeks ago, I bought two Fourteen wedges, 51 degree and 56 degree. I put 4 rounds on them and the 56 is rusting nicely, however the 51 is still shiny no sign of rust anywhere. I asked the shop and they told me it will rust. I just wonder if I bought a satin wedge in 51. I can not read japanese so I could not understand a word it its web site. By the way the shop told me Fourteen wedge do not come is satin, it is only available in RTG. Any comment would be greatly appreciated. Rit
  7. I am using the X-blade and I must say it is one of the best clubs in the market today. I do not know, may be it is only me, I have another set of Miura CB 1005 but I feel that my X- blade is a lot easier to control and much more forgiving even though it is a blade. The 14 Hi 969 is a very solid club, I played my friend's set for a round, and I think the 969 is pretty nice. The only thing that turned me off a little bit was the sound at impact, it was kind of hollow, may be because of the air-muscle. By the way I am a 13 handicapper and can handle the X-blade quite fine, I think that tell you how easy the X is. Cheers, Rit
  8. I need your guys opinion, what do you think is the most forgiving driver at under 400c.c.? Thanks a lot guys.
  9. Hi guys, I need your opinion urgently. I am playing Miura CB1005 and my handicap is 12. Today I found a set of slightly used Tourstage X-Blade with the same shaft that I play. I am really interested but I am not sure if my game can handle a blade. I never play blade before. So if you guys can give me your opinion comparing the two in term of feel, forgivness, distance, etc, I would really appreciate. Thanks Rit
  10. Hi Guys, Can anyone who knows about iron steel shaft called "Shimada" give me some opinion about this shaft ? Better yet if you can give me the web site address would be really wonderful. Thanks a million guys. Rit
  11. I am playing Miura CB 1005 and considering changing 8 iron to PW to the blade MB 5002. I wonder if the set will match, I know their lofts are the same, but I have no idea how it will turn out. If anyone has experience with this set up, please give me your feedback asap. Thanks a lot. Rit
  12. If you have a choice between Miura CB1005, Tourstage X-Blade CB, Hiro Matsumoto Mi02, and Fourteen Hi 969, all with same NS Pro 950 shaft, what would be the best choice? Thanks Rit
