  2. Yes please! Cheers, Jeff
  3. I have a set of 2013's
  4. Looking for the Ryoma 5 wood. Cheers, jeff
  5. Thanks for the input guys! I think I will try and get my hands on an egg and an old Ryoma and go from there Cheers, Jeff
  6. Hi guys. Up until recently the longest club in my bag was a 19degree hybrid. lol even writing that sounds silly. There is a simple answer for this. I can not hit a driver to save my life and the same goes with fairway woods. It was never really a problem because i can get that hybrid out around 230 pretty consistently. I am now on the hunt for a wood that I can hit. I tried a friends 5 wood recently and it was amazing! I could get it out there 250 no problems. well, there was one problem. It was a Nickent from 04 and can not be found anywhere. I have come to realize i need a combination of 2 factors for me to get along with a fairway wood. I need the club to be as low profile as possible firstly and secondly as large as possible. High volume. It is basically impossible for me to hit one of those "mini drivers" with deep faces. Just not going to happen. Think manta ray Can anyone tell me which clubs i should be looking at? The volume (CC) of the clubs are not always listed and even more rare is the depth of the face or face height. What I can sus out so far is that the Ryomas will probably be the largest heads but I don't know what their face height is.
  7. Mark. How does it play? I am very interested in trying it out but my hybrids don't really go above the teens in loft. Does it play much longer than the loft would have you believe? Is that due to the length of the shaft, because I will be changing shafts. Cheers.
  8. Haha I put up a post looking for a set of these about a month ago. Broke down and got a new set. Poor timing.
  9. That's the range right off the connector? I was supposed to golf UBC last week but it began to snow and I hurt my shoulder LOL. The Zero looks amazing
  10. My friend would like a set of Epon 502s but a new set is a bit steep for him. Ideally it would be a set of the BLACK 502s. (He knows they will be more expensive) 4-PW but the satin finish as well as sets 5-PW will all be considered. Thanks guys! Jeff.
  11. Do you still have this? I don't have a scope but I would like to buy it if you still have it. Cheers, Jeff
  12. Hmm. good point. If I did hide my Ip is there any decent websites that stream, ohh let's say The Masters?
  13. Hi guys. Hope I put this in the right forum. I live in Vancouver Canada and by choice I don't pay for cable tv. I find it a useless time suck BUT I really miss watching golf on tv. I called all the cable providers in my area and in order to just get the golf channel I have to pay for basic cable plus extended cable plus a sports package which is roughly $60-$75 depending on the company. !!! There is no way they will allow just the sports package. Now my question to you is does anyone know of a website or program where I can stream or watch live golf? My problem is that since I have a Canadian IP address I am not allowed to stream any live golf from US websites because they know where i'm from and want me to pay for it on tv instead. Anyone have the same problems or know how I can watch golf tv? Cheers, Jeff
  14. Awesome looking bag. Do you ever find that you wish you had a gap wedge? From 45 to 56 is a big space. Also, love the head covers. Where did you get them?
  15. Hey guys. Got a couple sets of irons on the way and am thinking about what kind of grip I should put on them. My grip preference is Oversize. I don't know why. I don't have huge hands or anything they just feel more comfortable in my hands. With regular size grips I tend to strangle the club. I also MUST HAVE a grip that is soft. Almost a spongy feeling? I prefer a bit of a muted feeling while hitting the ball. My prefrences have a lot to do with the fact that I do not use a golf glove. This is why I am currently using Oversize Winn Dri Tacs I have played the Golf Pride New Decade and they feel like absolute sandpaper in my hand. Before I played the Winn I was gameing the GOlfpride tour wrap 2G. I liked the rubbery feel to them but I found they got a little stiff with time and exposure. Lost that soft feeling. Anyways. I was wondering if any of the JDM grips feel similar to what I am looking for. Is there any good grip makers that are not made by uber large companies? Maybe some hand made ones? Also, does anyone know of companies that make leather grips? I have never actually tried one before and am curious. Any input will be much appreciated. Cheers, Jeff
  16. Also generally speaking I use my gap and sand wedge for approach shots, I will chip with a stronger lofted club such as a PW or 9 iron, and will always use my lob out of the sand. I'm very confident giving a 60 the full beans out of a ten foot bunker shot.
  17. oops. sorry. Forgot to say I'm assembling a 3 wedge set (not including PW) since 302s are 4 degree increments on that end I was thinking 50 54 58
  18. Thanks guys for all the info As far as conditions go I live in Vancouver Canada. Rains all the time here so the ground I play on is very soft and mucky most of the time. This also means that the public coarse that I play a lot have very hard bunkers from the rain packing it down. What kind of grind on a wedge should I be looking for in such conditions? (bunker and fairways) Is this what an M grind is meant for? I dig at the ball a lot and sometimes get the club stuck a little when chipping. Should I get something with leading edge relief? How about bounce?
  19. Well gents. I am on my way to getting my dream bag. I have purchased the Ryoma D1 Vspec 10.5 from one of our members I have purchased the Spoon HD from Chris And I have a set of Epon 302s Copper being made as we speak. My next quest is the wedge department. Although individually one of the least expensive clubs in the bag it would seem that people here go through wedges like Taco Bell goes through toilet paper. I am very interested in Taylormade's ATV for its versatile grind and am having troubles finding a link to customer reviews. Tario yours was great! I find the search option on the forum quite useless at times but maybe I am being a bit of a lump head and not using it properly. They have been out for about a year. Can anyone give me the scoop? Who is still using them one year later? I have also looked into nonconforming as well. I have literally never backed up a ball in my life but my current coach who is really good says when he is done with me I will regret getting non conforming and will have no problems stopping a ball soon enough. Basically I want everyone's input on which wedge they have been using the longest and why they think it is so great. The Miura K grind with the knuckles really interests me as well. And, obviously all of the hype on the Bold Wedge has got me tingling but I will wait and see on that one. Is there a poll out there on which is best wedge or something along that line? If not, can someone set that up for me? I'm still a bit of a noob and don't want to start one if there already is one or miss out onsome great clubs to put on the poll. Thanks all in advance Cheers, Jeff
  20. Hmm this is interesting. Very interesting indeed. Is this "sweet spot" , If you will, always bit high and toward the toe? Does it exist in all drivers? and finally, can you post a link to where I may read up on this a bit more? I feel like I'm about to geek out on something. The last time that happened I spent 76 hours straight in my study. not good. not good indeed. Time to stock up on kimchi noodles.
