This is not much actual input to your discussion but i'm an average 260-270 driver of the ball. every now and then i'll hit it 290 longest ever 311 gps but once and I do mean ONCE with normal conditions dry fairway and a smooth hard swing (Nothing crazy) I drove the ball 346yds!! gps confirmed. no wind not down hill or anything. I had no idea what happened. my playing partners were dumbfounded. It has never happened again

Hi guys. I would love a little help with choosing a driver and though I have been searching the forum I am having trouble still deciding. I would like to buy a Ryoma D1 either Vspec 10.5 or the Premia 9.5 I am a mid capper and my swing speed is plus 100 but to be honest I am not 100% sure on that figure. I am 29 years old and relatively fit so I assume (ass of you and me) it is above 100. I am looking at the V spec in 10.5 or the Premia in 9.5 because I would like a Square face. I am having troubles deciding on the loft. I would say I am a medium trajectory driver of the ball. So, this is where your help would be appreciated. Since I hit the ball at a medium trajectory I am wondering if the 9.5 premia will be a worm burner and fly far too low to the ground but at the same time since I am a mid handicapper I am wondering If i am good enough to play the Vspec which is geared to the better player with the faster swing speed. The set is 3Iron through Pitching Wedge. Heads only. I purchased these from EPONfreak from the forums. Asking $2000USD or make an offer. No lowballs please I have two of my own already. PayPal gifted. I live in Vancouver Canada but can cross the boarder to ship cheap to US. International shipping I will have to check on. Back Story: 2 days after I purchased these iron heads I lost my job. I kept ahold of them without shafting them in hopes of getting a new job very shortly. It took a couple months but I got another job but..... The club ho in me has his eye on something different and similar all at once. I want to get the 302s but in a copper finish. I will shortly be able to afford those irons and thought it best to list these here where people know whats going on while I still can. I have NEVER hit these irons. The following is EPONfreaks description of them: The loft is standard, the lie angle will have been adjusted to my spec of 1.5* flat. It is a very easy matter for your club fitter to adjust the lie angle to suit you, Epon irons are very soft forgimgs. There is no damage to the irons as a result of bending. The original post stated that the 8,9,P are new, which they are, havent even been shafted. I was contemplating playing a 302/AF-Tour combo set so never shafted the short irons. The 3 iron has only been hit a few times, I worked out early that the 901 (still in my bag) are easier than a long iron. the 4,5,6 hit 20-25 times, which they were. I demoed these irons for myself and preferred the AF-Tours which have been in my bag for 3 years prior to the Personals Cheers, Jeff

Hello everyone. A little bit about me: I'm a 12 handicap and in pursuit of a fit for me JDM set of golf clubs. I just bought a set of Epon 302s from EponFreak. 3-pw. After lots of research I purchased these clubs and I am going to a well known fitter in the US to get these heads fully set to me. I may need to get fit for the 502s in 3/4 iron but I know I can play these clubs and get a fully custom set of irons I will love. My problem/question now is regarding drivers. I see so many great reviews for all these awesome JDM drivers and I have a few in mind that I would love but I'm torn because I really want a set of clubs (Driver) that is customized to my swing and stance and club head speed etc. But the problem is I have no way of hitting ANY of these drivers before I have to purchase them and I am by no means a rich man. This makes me wonder since most of the JDM drivers your choices are limited to loft and sometimes weight how will I know which one works for me? I really like what the Ryoma D1 Vspec has to offer and all the great reviews really make me want it but how do I know it will be good for me? I would have Absolutely no idea which weight to select or even if 198g is different than 199g. It must be if the 1gram weight difference is offered!! Will it be more beneficial for me to get my fitter to fit me with an R11S where ALL specs and shaft can be fit to MY swing on a launch monitor by a pro in person? Help. I'm confused. Cheers, Jeff

I haven't heard of any reputable fitters of Epon or other JDM in WA. They are a scarce commodity. There is one in Chicago and one in Naples FLorida but thats about it. Or atleast all I have had reco's for

Yes I live in Vancouver Canada. Should have said that. Hey Gocchin. You have a club fitter in Toronto where I can actualy be fit for epon irons in person? If that's true I am in a very good situation because my girlfriend works for Air Canada and I am able to fly to Toronto on discount. I would be willing to fly out to your fitter in TO to get some Epons. Can you please tell me more about this place? Is it just a one man show, is it a full club fitting business, is there a website, will they fit me with the best possible shaft.....etc. This is all pretty funny because living in Vancouver I frequently golf a course that is next to the North American Miura distributor. I just feel from my research that Epon will be best for me. Am I an idiot? Probably but love is blind.

Hey guys. I have what I think is a prety newbie question. I would really like a set of fully customised Epon irons but have no way of puting my hands on them without getting on a plane first. My question is can you get fit for a set of clubs without actualy using them? I have really good fitters in the area but no epons. Can they figure out my specs and such and I can get TSP to make them? would this be the same? I guess not because you need to try the heads with different shafts and such to see how they feel? thanks for your help. Cheers, Jeff
