  1. Out of curiosity, did you hit off of a mat or grass? The P2 are entirely better off of grass than they are a mat in my experience.
  2. Use a wide, thin box so the club can be placed on an angle. I've done it with a hockey stick box, or you can create your own.
  3. PM sent on Y Proto. Edit: I'm going to pass on this (as hard as it is) since I have a couple T.388 and more reading revealed similarities.
  4. This! Most of my best golf was played with a 2i and 54* (or 56*). Playing 52* and 58* messed me up more than it helped. I don't like full wedge shots as a rule and there's not much I can do with a 52* that I can't with a Pw. So I've gone to playing 55* and added a 61* for special situations and some bunker play (no more 2i). On-course decisions are much easier now.
  5. P2 are somewhat polarizing regarding offset. As a rule, I dislike offset, but it doesn't bother me at all on the P2. I don't know if it's the mirror finish or what, but the offset, as I've said before, just melts away for me. Some have agreed and some have moved on from them. I don't see myself allowing them to leave my stable. Whether or not I keep both of my sets is another question.
  6. This is great info, S. I probably should grab another 125 to try. I discounted them a year ago after hitting one in a P2. It turns out, the P2, more than other clubs I've hit, react very differently off of the mat vs real grass. The 130 I'm trying in a short-hosel head (Vega VM-02) is working out pretty well. I'm going to try it in some other heads and see if I can't find a home for a set or two.
  7. I know a few are liking Shimada Tours. I have one set with Tour Issue DG S200 CMT that I initially thought of pulling, but I'm finding in limited testing that it's a very good (albeit expensive) shaft.
  8. I still have a new EI70 or two. I like that shaft a lot.
  9. Vega VM-01, Miura BB, probably some others.
  10. That's true of any copper plating. Electroplating doesn't rub off, fellas.
  11. I dabbled with composite for awhile, but ultimately stayed with steel. During my trials, I far preferred SteelFiber over MCI (100S).
  12. I have a set of the Tour Issue S200 CMT. I bought the set for the heads but haven't brought myself to remove them yet. They're counterbalanced and feel very much like a Modus shaft. I think they're Japan only, but not 100% sure. Quite expensive in the Tour Issue version. I know the US has the AMT, but I don't know if they're similar in concept.
  13. That didn't take long. I must say, these look far better in copper than chrome.
  14. I haven't skied outside of the US, but Utah snow (the Cottonwood canyons as mentioned) hasn't been beat in my experience. For pure beauty, give me Heavenly in Lake Tahoe...just don't forget the sun screen (learned that the hard way). I love the view from almost any mountain, though. Man, I haven't been on the skis at all this year.
  15. As long as you like pink on your clubs... ?
  16. Baldo should have something that interests you. The VT511 can probably be had quite reasonably. I have the VT311 and like it quite a bit. It's 385cc. Also, I think the 911 is in your size range.
  17. Well, when it comes to blades, there's really nothing new under the sun; just about everything, in one way or another, is a tribute to designs pioneered by Hogan, MacGregor, Spalding, and Wilson. Again, very nice looking classic here, Chris.
  18. Very nice. Is it me or do these look very similar to the Chujo Craft blades? http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/topic/40083-chujo-craft/
  19. Unbelievable prices for some gear that was all the rage only a few short years ago.
  20. I have a few sets...may be willing to part with one. PM me.
