Where would you rate the 153 on the spin scale?

I picked up a 153 on the BST, and it's been a match made in heaven. Straightest, most controllable driver I've ever had. In addition to the feel, I love the sound it makes. Don't know for sure if it's just the 153, or the fact that I spent the whole summer hitting that Ryoma 2-wd off the tee, but my driving game has changed a lot for the better. Plenty long (for me), but I'm hitting fairways way more often, which on my course is way more important.

Not sure if the JBeam 435 is the same as the Black, but the Black is a soft hammer, monster long in the sweet spot.

Modus3 wedge is smooth as silk.

I tried the Sensicore inserts once and had a similar reaction -- that it added nothing I could feel. Also agree on NS shafts. The Modus3's I'm playing with currently are the smoothest feel I've ever encountered. Better than composites even.

Perfect description of the issues that come into play with these shafts vs fitted shafts, including the reality that they're going to be fine for 70% of swings.

Okay, I've had this scary beautiful putter for a few weeks now, and have used it for many rounds including a tourney. I'm a little hesitant to write about it because I really don't want to see many of them out in the world... but... In addition to being outrageously beautiful, this putter is outrageously good. Putters are as personal as sex. And probably as close to being as notoriously omnipresent in golfer talk. Boasting and humility enter the conversation quickly, and tend to stick around uncomfortably. So, at the risk of telling tales, I offer this up. This putter is beyond smooth. The balance is exquisite. It feels like it putts itself. I tend to be attracted to putters that offer something truly unique in feel. Like most here, I've been through just about everything from Scotty's to Yamada... For more than a year though, I've been captured by a putter that many kind of raise an eyebrow to -- the Ryoma P3. I still think Ryoma achieved a soft feel with the P3 unlike anything else I've ever rolled. (And I thank Stew for calling it to my attention with one of his "yowza's" whenever that was...) I liked it so much, I bought a second one to keep in reserve in case anything happened to the first. But there has always been one nagging trait to the P3 that lurks in a corner of my mind, and it comes up with the prospect of facing a VERY long putt. I've described the feel as something like the gas pedal on early turbo auto engines. There's a miniscule delay before the pop, and it's touchy when trying to gauge how much effort to put into your arc on a long putt. I've had more than a few 20 or 30 footers that have gotten away from me or come up short. Enter the Pantaleone. This thing is as smooth at 30 feet as it is at 3. The face milling is unusual in that it is not vertical, not horizontal, not made of intersecting waves. It just is. And depending on what is required, you can seemingly order up a firm rap for an uphill punt or a soft caress for a downhill slider. The neck invites your eye to stare. The high toe seems to track whatever arc you can conjure with an uncanny stability. The thing sort of smiles even at a double breaker... Most common question I get was my own question, too: is it worth the money? Sorry to say -- unequivocally -- yes.

So, what degree is the Kasco? Can you tell me a little more about it? Thx.

Haven't tried this new one (yet), but the A-Grind CMB had way more pop to it than the old Honma, which I felt would probably be good for a faster swing than mine. The A-Grind doesn't get talked about much, but it's ridiculously easy to hit compared to most DI's.

I've tried pretty much the full gamut, and the Crazy STP really jumped out as exceptional for me. It's long and explosive for a guy with a smooth tempo swing like me. And maybe it's the stepped structure, I don't know, but I find it very workable and accurate -- especially off the tee when I'm using it with my A-Grind DI's. Not that nuts about the all black finish, but I've gotten used to it. Interestingly, when I recently switched to Modus-3 shafts in my new irons, the STP-50 I was using suddenly seemed too light and it was throwing me off when I went to my driving iron. I seemed to get too far ahead of the club that I had previously been loving, resulting in pushes. So I decided to try and put a Modus-3 in the DI. Didn't work for me. The weight felt better, but the explosiveness of the STP was immediately missed. After talking it over with Chris, I'm going to try the STP-70 tipped slightly differently to make it a little softer, but more in line with the rest of my irons at the moment. Hoping that does the trick. When this shaft is the right matched weight for a bag, it's just tremendous.

So can we assume that the opposite is also true for those of us who like to draw the ball? Also, any idea when this baby will be available?

Hmmm... Will watch for a review if anyone gets hands on one. I've never seen that shape in a head, and am def curious.

What would be the effect of the high toe on trajectory?
