  1. That's a great looking driver! Any info on if/when it might be out?
  2. Will do Hutchy. Though with Daves rotation he probably hasn't hit them yet..
  3. Thanks Hutchy, The 7001 is what I was pushing him towards. Have you used the shafts, and have any comparisons in regards to flex? Cheers, ben
  4. Hi guys, I am building a set of irons for a buddy, and he likes lightweight steel. His old set has xp95 regs, and he'd be happy to use them again, but I can get Nippon and Shimada cheaper. He didn't like 950gh, but I suggested Shimada's. Either k3001 or k7001 might be worth a try. Would any of these know which would be most like an xp95? And would reg flex be the way to go? Thanks for the help, Cheers, Ben
  5. Ahhh cool. The section of work I am in, we don't have any of the cool cad software.
  6. Thanks Robbie, I did find a few set of specs, but none specifically for the 2012. Its more the non tour model I am interested in - I would like to know if they are remotely traditional lofts. Cheers, Ben
  7. Hi guys, I have searched hi and low for some accurate specs on these - really tough to find. Really just after stock lie and loft values for both the 2012 V Forged and V Forged Tourmodel. I have the Tourmodel, but being the hack I am I might have a go at the standard V Forged pending specs. Thanks, Ben
  8. Very cool what you are doing here, and some great designs. Are you able to tell us what software you are using? I used to be able to muddle my way through Solidworks and Inventor, but have no way to access these any more. Thanks, Ben
  9. I use a variety depending on the fit. Loose fit (ping) = glass beads used in non slip floor paint Moderate fit = normal club making shafting beads Tight fit or collared ferrule = straight epoxy
  10. You are talking about adding 4g more (6g instead of 10g) to an iron head that weighs approx 245g (this is a 1.6% weight change in a 4i). This gets even less significant as you go down to a PW (approx 290g 1.38%) In most iron heads you are talking about a COG located 28mm to 30.5mm from the shaft axis. The additional 4g is going to move this COG approx 0.466mm towards the hosel in a 4i. (0.4mm in a PW) Personally (I use 10g occasionally), I don't notice the difference. Cheers, ben
  11. Thanks lads, 0.355 or 0.370 will do just fine.
  12. Have irons and wedges sorted, now looking to get fairway woods and a hybrid. My question is: Do JDM makers follow convention of 0.335" for woods, and 0.370" for hybrids? I understand there is no common convention, but generally, what should I be expecting? Cheers, Ben
  13. Hello TSG! Name is Ben, just dipped my toes in the JDM, getting a set of Yamaha 2012 Tour Model CB's. Maybe a little too much club for me, but so beautiful. Got some tourstage X-Wedges on the way, and now Jonesing for some fairway woods. I also blame Eca a little for letting me try his TRPX Air shaft and giving me the JDM bug just a little more. Sure there are plenty of other familiar names from another Austrlian golf forum I am on. See you all around. Cheers, Ben
