  1. How does the MD compare to the YS-Q? Has anyone here tried both shafts?
  2. Thanks, Forte! I love the feel of it and yes, the face does seem to be pretty hot but the stock shaft seems to be spinning a bit much for me. Well, I'm playing again tomorrow. I'll give it another go before I decide which way to go.
  3. I'm seriously considering picking up a 445. I hit my cousin's a few times and just bombed the heck out of it. Even outdrove my bigger, longer G10 on a couple of occasions. So I went and picked up a demo from the local distributor and had a less than stellar first round with it. To be fair, we played in extremely high humidity, medium wind and some rain and distance was hard to come by then. But I felt strangely out of sync with the 445. Perhaps the shaft's just too light for me? I have a Diamana BB 83s in my G10 (D5 swing weight), should I get the GD MD-7 stiff-flex instead? On a more shallow note, how does the color combo of the 445 with the MD look? I really like the red/black paint scheme of the 445; it looks so sexy. Thanks in advance, for the advice.
  4. Just got to hit this beauty yesterday at the Callaway new product launch. Unfortunately, the only shaft they had was a 55 gram lightweight so it was hard to come to any conclusions. Didn't really have good feel for the head during my swing. Sound is quite loud at impact; seems like it should send the ball a long way. I'd like to hit it again with a heavier stiffer shaft in it.
  5. Happy Holidays, everyone! Thanks to all, and to Chris in particular, for making this such an awesome site.
  6. Great pics, as always! RSI stands for Rossa Soft Insert.
  7. About time they came up with something to replace the 001. Why no 460 version, Chris?
  8. Just want to share a story on the playing blades vs plaver's cbs. One of my buddies plays to a scratch. This guy is an animal! He swore by his MP-32s (I know some of you don't consider this a blade, but humor me) until I got him to try my MP-60s. He went out and shot his next 6 rounds in the 60s! Now I can't get my 60s back! I agree completely with plus1, we can all use forgiveness and positive results will change your mind about how a club looks very quickly indeed.
  9. I hope it'll be easier to hit than the previous X-Drives. I love the performance but want something less demanding.
  10. As a former blade user, I can relate to the comment about the toplines. But you know what? I just don't see them when I'm playing. The new player's cavity backs are so good, it won't matter. Those clubs look awesome, Chris. Looking forward to the outcome.
  11. Gorgeous driver with a premium shaft to boot! Spoke to the local distributor, no word if the driver and irons will make it out of Japan.
  12. Haven't gotten it yet. I'm looking at a 9* in the stiff flex. Need to know what the shaft feels like at impact. I've learned to like a little kick at the bottom of the swing from the shaft. I've got that in the NV and the Purple Ice I have in my 3-wood. How does the V-27 play?
  13. The new driver looks pretty good too.
  14. Anyone have experience with the XXIO Hard Spec? I'm getting a really good deal on one and would like to find out what you all think. I'm fussy with my shafts and know nothing about the V27 that comes with it. My ss is around 107 and I'm a swinger more than a hitter. My current driver is 257 cpm a tad lighter than I was used to, but I like the little kick it gives me at impact. Thanks for your assistance.
