  1. I love the fact that so many wheelers-n-dealers like free are picking up this stick. Means a trade with yours truly is just around the corner.
  2. Fourteens are traded. Anybody want to trade/buy the yamahas? Looking for .355 taper tip 3-pw shaft pulls and flow neck putters, but open to whatever might be on your trade list.
  3. Thanks for the comparison pics Rich. The s yard looks tasty. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts especially with regard to trajectory... Have a good trip.
  4. haha the first time i don't check the bst section every 10 minutes and these pop up. I guess I was turned off by all the nonsense in the other bst posts. Congrats to whoever got those personals. If you don't want the kbs shafts, let me know...
  5. I was told this shaft was pulled from a Romaro 3 wood. I bought it with the intent of building it out as a 3 wood weapon. After trying to get fitted for an iron shaft and seeing my swing on a video monitor, I immediately signed up for lessons and do not anticipate building out this project for a while. So WTS/WTT this Diamana Stinger pull. What I was told about the shaft...It supposedly frequency matched specs for a 72 gram stiff shaft. As you can see from the pictures where it would say stiff or X flex has been scratched out. Don't ask me why. I also know that with a tape measure from end of grip to tip it's just past 42 inches long. What I don't know. Tipping, how many times it's been pulled, or if there's a sticker under the grip that has spec information. I did match up the graphics to the 1st generation driver length pull Diamana Stinger I received from Supo. The graphics matched up perfectly, but for the flex designation that has been scratched out. SOLD I've disclosed all I know about the shaft and tried to take pics as best I can to reflect current condition, so please keep that in mind when discussing trades. Please just pm me with any questions. Thanks!
  6. That's sick. I would hope they get on bst, but I know how H feels about his copper Epons.
  7. Working out a trade on the Fourteens. What about $400 on the yamahas? That seems pretty fair for a full set of 3-pw JDM sweetness.
  8. Very informative. Thanks for all the feedback! 301 crisper, hmm. One of the things I enjoyed most about the 302s was the flush/pillowing of shots caught in the sweet spot. I am sure the shaft will ultimately have a lot to do with perceived softness.
  9. Thanks S. I have a set with NS 950. Looking to do some experimenting versus the analyzer's recommendations.
  10. Got on a Mizuno optimizer the other day and they kicked out some shaft recommendations for me. It was a quick swing and no time to warm up, but the #s kicked out Project X 5.5, KBS tour stiff, and DGS300. The fitter also thought Project pxi 5.0 should also be considered. I've got a project I want to build out so I am looking for pulls that will fit a .355 taper tip head and play to standard length of around 37.75 in the 5 iron. Although I'd love to build out with a more exotic or sexy shaft like monacos or modus, I am thinking of testing the validity of the optimizer. To make it a somewhat exciting project if anyone has KBS stiff pulls in one of their custom colors like pearl white or pearl black, I'd be very interested to hear what you have and how much it costs. Please just pm me with what you might have and how much you might be looking for. Thanks for looking
  11. Thanks Stew. The idea of slightly thinner sole, less offset, and more workability is what I was hoping would be the differences.
  12. Hello I've tried the Epon 302s and found them to be one of the better player cavity backs out there. Recently bought some Epon Type J irons that I understand to be the same model as the Epon 301. Can anyone compare the differences and their opinions between the 2? I thought I read the 301s had slightly less offset, but do not recall where I read that. Thanks for your feedback...
  13. Thanks for the feedback. I was prepared with the advances in engineering that the s yard could be a step forward in optimizing length and accuracy, but what's the feel at impact like? I've grown fond of the soft trampoline feeling of the 380. Does the s yard have a very metallic feel from the face materials?
  14. Thanks Tae you really know how to help a guy be patient. Lol That's okay I know it's only a matter of time before someone decides to sell. I have a quadra fire express waiting to put in it when the time comes.
  15. Maybe reverse psychology will work. There's no way this outperforms my epon 380, so I am not eager to try it.
  16. Time to try some new irons, but before I do I need to clear one or both of these sets. 1. Endo Forged First generation TC 770 irons. 3-PW, 4-PW shafted with Aerotech Steelfiber i95 stiff shafts and white No.1 grip. 3 iron is head only. Very nice combination of forgiveness and comfort. The steelfiber shafts pair well with the head as the set produces high straight, to slight draw shots. I very much wanted this set to work, but the shafts are a little too light for me and I need a little more feedback where I am striking my irons. Traded!!! 2. 2005 Yamaha Inpres V forged irons. 3-pw shafted with NS Pro 950 stiff shafts. Set was acquired from Stew so you no worries about being authentic. The set has a very appealing cavity design with a single muscle in the cavity behind the long irons. A dual muscle behind the mid irons and 3 muscles behind the wedges. I don't know the engineering thought process, but it works and shots transition well from high in the short irons and mid high in the long irons. I don't have a real reason to sell these irons. I actually preferred them to my Epon 302s, AF Tours, and Personals, but when the itch comes along to try new things I do illogical things. Traded to the good man in the lone star state! Trades always considered. Looking of course for Romaro H or V irons and S Yard 388 driver. After that open to potential 3 wood head for a stinger project, Ryoma or Jbeam driver. Also looking to try Epon 301 or Type J (?) irons. Pretty open to hear what you have to trade so just pm me to discuss. Thanks for looking.
  17. I know a few members that have played or at least hit the head. Any updates or new feedback?
  18. Please someone buy these clubs so I can stop writing pms to yourpressed, deleting, write, delete. So tempted...
  19. That's a nice looking driver. If anyone wants side-by-side shots comparing to an Epon 380, I'd be happy to take some if they want to send me the S Yard 388 to try out.
  20. I am afraid of being reduced to steel in my wedges. Not only is it relatively more expensive, it also makes me worry that the 10% loss in distance each couple years won't be a reversible trend. I hope i dont offend anyone by saying since i include myself in this group, but methinks the demographics of TSG includes mostly 40+ year old equipment junkies.
  21. Mob is epon doing the copper finish on tour order? I didn't know that option was still available on their irons? Looking forward to seeing pics when finished. I might start trying to play left handed on the off chance your set makes it to bst.
  22. Mob let us know how it works out. UST sounds like they understand customer service!
  23. Anyone spend a lot of time with aerotech shafts and then successfully go back to steel shafts? I first tried a set of i95 stiff in some fourteen tc770 heads. My first hit I was ready to put the set up for sell. Now after 3 range sessions I am getting dangerously addicted to the comfort of the aerotech shafts. Even tho I still play steel (c taper) in my wedges, I don't think I can go back to steel in my irons.
  24. Tae told me his 9.5 hits low with a couple different shaft set ups. Has anyone hit (or at least ordered) a 10.5 that can share launch characteristics. I am very interested in this driver especially given my gamer is an epon 380!
  25. Tae, not sure I understand the distinction. I would think all Tourstage Maru signature wedges were JDM? I don't recall Bridgestone releasing a US domestic line with MR 23 scheme. Different years with different designs to match his irons, but no US counterparts with his signature?
