When I read Shoe95 post I just had to post this. Iron play has always been the best part of my game. Maybe because of that, or maybe because I'm stupid I've been through a ton of irons in the last 3 years. Mizzuno Comp EZ, Titleist 762, X16 pro series, Mizzuno MP30 / MP37 combos, and Taylor Made box toes. Anyway I went to a demo day looking for a driver. The last thing I wanted was more irons. But I hit balls at every vendors stall. I finally got to the Hogan guy that I had passed up twice prior. He didn't have drivers and I always grouped Hogans with Topflite Balls. Anyway I started hitting his Edge Pro irons and loved them. One of the things that helped was he properly fit me for the irons first. ( I think this is greatly important) Anyway what I'm trying to share with you in my ramblings are three points. (1.) What you preceive as the most glamorous irons may not be the best for you. (2.) Go somewhere you can demo many irons and keep an open mind. (3.) proper fitting of length and lie is key whatever you get. Finally, as is always the case with all of us "Club Hoes" enjoy your search for your new irons.

Help I'm wanting a deep faced 3 wood that is LONG. Anyone have any sugestions?

Mike, Do you know what kind of price I would be looking at on the fuji? I would not mind spending the money if I was sure it would help. Do you know if the 500 head provides a much lower flight ? I just can't understand why the Cleveland with 1* difference changes the ball flight so much particularly with the NV. (cause I thought it creates a lower boring flight).

I have a Taylor Made 500 8.5* with a proforce 65 s flex shaft. I have been hitting the ball straight with this combo but too low. Anyone have a shaft recomendation to get ball flight up. I was using a Cleveland Launcher 9.5* with the NV 65 proto (probably shouldn't change perfect high long flight). I'll probably stay with that combo if I cannot get the the right shaft in the Taylor. Any ideas appreciated. :D

I used to work in a pro shop and was regripping irons for a member. He had leather wraps circa 1932. I almost never got those things off! After that experience I will never be a fan :lol:
