  1. Those are some badass looking blades, I need to have a sale!!!! BB
  2. Yes Bombsquad found a way to charge ridiculous dollars for all things Tour Issue Matrix and Taylormade back in the day, TM's grey market still exists and it's guarded by the new keepers of the flame on WRX....BB
  3. You know Chris I've been around golf and golf equipment for a long time and I find it strange to see so many drivers built around forward center of gravity and LOW spin. I pride myself on being a pretty decent stick and my swingspeed/ballspeed is pretty legit however I'm a low spin player and find it increasingly hard to support the belief that loft alone can produce superior numbers. I think we are quickly approaching a time where SPIN will be the missing link for many players to gain distance AND control. Just my thoughts, drivers like the GR which support higher launch and mid spin fit far more players than many might suggest...BB
  4. If I can get the right setup I will snap pictures and do a review for you guys so hold tight, I think the tech in this driver merits the experiment...BB
  5. I haven't seen much chatter on this driver, I know the looks aren't for everyone but I kinda like it. General feedback would be appreciated, I'm also partial to open faced setups so I'm looking for information on setup looks in the RIGHT adaptor position. Also, what is the stock length? Thanks fellas...BB
  6. Disregard I started a separate thread...BB
  7. Wow! If you think about it does make sense, the old adage always applies....get what you pay for! If the deal is too good to be true I would all but guarantee the legitimacy is questionable...BB
  8. OK boys this was going to be my 2014 gamer but the face is to square for me, just got it back from an AMAZING paint job and it turned out better than factory in my opinion. This driver is basically mint top to bottom, pretty cool stuff! When I purchased this driver it showed very little to almost no signs of use. I really like this shaft so I'm going to offer in both head only and shafted, it will include the orgional stock Yamaha headcover (which is very cool too!) also in excellent condition. Per usual first to Paypal will get the club and all sales are final. Specs as follows...BB 10* with very square face angle Fujikura Rombax 6F09 stiff flex (very smooth but tight shaft, love it actually) just a hair over 45' gripped, D2.5-3 2014 Lamkin UTx (really nice grip, lots of tech), label down plus one wrap SOLD I will need a day or two to have my tech pull the head professionally if you choose head only, if you live in Aussie this will be the only method of purchase due to customs restrictions in box length (what a pain!). Thanks fellas, enoy! BB
  9. Ok got the driver back today and it looks LIKE NEW, I went with a satin black finish, not quite matte but not shinny as well. The paint job turned out amazing, sadly I've decided to sell this driver so it will be in BST later tonight. You will be shocked at how perfect this driver turned out, wish the face was a little more open or it would be my 2014 gamer...specs....D3, 45', dead square face. Somebody will be the happy owner of a classic Yammie in like new trim top to bottom...BB
  10. Putting is a game inside the game, I reviewed an extensive putter fitting last season and was amazed to realize just how incredibly technical the art of putting can be. If people would focus more energy on learning and understanding there putting stroke most players would shave countless strokes from there score. Heck, in a ten minute putting lesson last season using a simple chalk line I learned my alignment was at least 7 inches too left, I had no idea...BB
  11. I've always found PRGR equipment to be extremely high quality and its never let me down. I do agree, other than the extremely popular Egg fairways many clubs including the players irons in particular fly under the radar...BB
  12. I totally agree, just clean simple drivers that flat out perform. I've always agreed with Chris and his assessment that Yamaha and Titleist share a very similar heritage, not a lot of gimmicks just simple sexy clubs...BB
  13. Yes the face is very square on the V201, I play 10* loft so to me the added loft will always "appear" to be more closed due to seeing so much face. As Chris mentioned it really is all relative...BB
  14. Very true Chris, in the States all the craze is adjustable drivers and its so nice to play a traditional glued in model. Once it arrives from Japan it's off to a VERY high quality refinisher to replace the paint with a matte black finish, nice because the paint break is above the Yamaha logo so I will not loose the labeling. If I recall the face technology on this guy was ahead of its time...BB
  15. Revive an old thread, just picked up a mint 2009 4.6v shafted with a personal favorite oldie but goodie, Rombax 6F09. I'm going through this phase where new drivers aren't performing any better than my old favorites so I'm constantly on the hunt for the old timers with the RIGHT feel and looks. I'm excited to game this one honestly, I'm hoping the face is more open than my previous 2010 V201, any insight fellas??
  16. Very cool tech in a traditional package, love my Yonex Ezone MB's...BB
  17. Wedges have a flat lie angle (orange dot) I believe...Thx, BB
  18. Please note irons have moved on to Ebay however the wedges are still available...BB
  19. That's one of the cleanest looking adjustable adaptors I've seen, I like it! BB
  20. That is cool! I've had good luck with OnOff drivers, highly underrated in my personal opinion. This one is sharp and worth a look over no doubt. I think the hosel design can be very challenging if you like to tinker with shafts, stock shaft on this one looks pretty cool as well...BB
  21. Blades look sharp and classy, congrats! Driver is interesting and looks very forgiving to the eye...BB
  22. Note, the Ping WRX grinds combine three distinct and different grinds into one, really awesome! Also, my picture taking isn't going to win me any photography awards so the iron actually look better in hand than the shiny reflections off the badging portrays...BB
  23. Happy Holidays from miserable Cleveland, Ohio. Temps are falling into the teens and few things need to go CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. These irons are super sweet, the shafts came directly from Accra when still in prototype form. I have these in my Yonex blades and think they are best multi-material shaft on the market today. These shafts are amazingly tight with steel like consistancy and flight, I gained ONE FULL CLUB over my Aerotech Steelfibers and Recoils with like setups, I prefer these over all mentioned 100%. 1.) Mizuno JPX Pro 825 (5-PW), Accra Hybrex M4's (stiff flex) used less tha half of season with light/medium wear (if you aren't anal this is a STEAL!) normal chatter, no gouging or dents of any interest clear coat does show signs of use, does NOT effect playbility in anyway however its visible and they are not perfect. Price will reflect condition BIGTIME so selling as is thanks. my tech built these perfectly, very high quality work play .5' longer than stock (38.25' 5 iron, 36' PW), D2'ish few flat, one weak Newer Golfpride Z-grips plus one wrap label down These irons are pin seaking BEASTS, most accurate set I've gamed in a very ling time. shafts alone retail for $75/ea. BEFORE install <<<<<IRONS MOVED TO EBAY>>>>> 2.) Ping WRX grind Tour W wedge set (60,56,50) WRX Combo Grinds (amazing grinds!) cell parts red/white/blue ferrules KBS Tour shafts these are rare hard to find pre-groove rule non-conforming grooves (the good ones!!) I've goofed around with these a lot including lead tape, etc etc. so they aren't gonna win any beauty contests but the grooves are sharp and the overall condition is super playable, again price reflects condition so being sold as is thanks. If you are looking for pure high performance these simply can't be touched. I purchased these directly from Ping WRX years ago so I know exactly what they are. <<<<<SOLD>>>>> heading to Aussie OK gang per usual my discriptions are fair and honest and pricing is extremely aggressive so ALL SALES ARE FINAL, I will ship via Fedex Ground with tracking US or USPS with customs number International. Thanks Tourspec, I will be in and out during the day running a big trial at the Cleveland Clinic so questions asked during eastern business hours will be answered in the evening....BB
