  1. I haven't been able to play most recently due to a wrist injury... but if I am a middle to high single digit handicap... I would say my weakest area is driving of the ball. I am a decent ball striker and I am pretty confident controlling shots other than driver... if I hit fairways I would probably be scratch no problem whatsoever. Home course is 7100 and 131 slope... I was 1 over after 15 and hook the drive OB on 16 for a triple and bogeyed the next two... if I could drive the ball as well as I did then and get out of my own way I would be scratch tomorrow. :-( I REALLY like the look of the x-forged, I like the look of my Pro Combo Tours, and don't like a very rounded toe on an iron/wedge... another example of a look I like is the Rac TP MB. I want something at least somewhat similar to the PC Tours in relation to the leading edge and bounce, as these play very versatile and have worked well for me in all conditions. Does the leading edge on the X-forged really play like a razor, as comments I have heard? I am thinking about Miura because of comments on their looks compared to other clubs and from what I have seen in pictures.
  2. I'm not stuck on having to have a "blade" for my next set of irons, but I put enough time in to justify playing them. I even play an old persimmon and sam snead 2 iron for fun sometimes... now if you want to talk about unforgiving there you go. Whether it is a "BLADE" blade, or just a blade-like players cavity is not a huge deal to me, I just want the best looking iron from address and the best feeling, consistent shaft. The part of the game I enjoy the most is creative part; playing difficult iron shots, getting creative with the ball and hitting the shots that make you go WHAT is what I love about golf probably the most. Whether my handicap suffers a few strokes in the meantime while I become better, I don't really care all that much.
  3. I'm most interested in trying Black Gold, Tour Concepts, and Nippons..
  4. How similar is the Cb1006 to the new 202 for U.S. market? How do they differ? Most important to me is looks from topline, if it doesn't look amazing and just perfect and inspire confidence, I'm not going to play my best! Second to this is and VERY CLOSE second is feel. Note: I'm not too much of a digger with irons, but I don't typically pick it perfectly clean either. I am somewhere in between there hitting descending on the ball but hitting it at about the bottom of my swing. I would say I err a tad more towards hitting down on it than on sweeping... but it is kind of a toss up.
  5. I'm not completely stuck on ONLY a blade, but want something akin to one if not a "real" blade. What are your thoughts on Miura?
  6. Best looking from address is most important, I like a squarish look. Also, smoothest/best feeling, stable shaft? I swing anywhere from 105-115 with driver at max, I like to really feel the clubhead especially with irons, although I do tend to take a hit at it more than I'd like to. I want something I can stick with for a while and really develop my game. Looking for consistency and feel! Thanks for all opinions and comments.
