I play the Fubuki ax i425 now. Only 85g but very stable for me, and I swing at 107mph. I've played Quadra 100i, Roddio i-10, Steelfiber i95/i110, Bassara 74g, Recoil 110 F4 and these Fubuki's are every bit as good as my fav Quadra, if not better :)

Easy on the body I am sure Ian. What weight shaft do you play in your driver to match?

Sorry to thread jack. Agree with Stu SP Blues were great in the Epon heads (when I had the strength)!

As far as steel is concerned, I've had Ctaper S 120 in Epon AF tours, and Modus3 X 120 in Srixon Pro100's and I preferred the feel and flight of the Ctaper's.

Unfortunately I can't recommend any steel shafts now because I've played graphite for a few years and love 'em. Won't be going back to steel. Go graphite baby.....

What graphite do you play Ian?

Just got some Srixon z925 with Matrix Program 130 (6.0) and they play heavy but have nice impact and flight......still getting used to them and it is an experiment!

How does it do in the rain please?

I remember going to Kyoto and queuing up to buy some canvas bags at two shops opposite each other - two brothers I think. I think they were made from canvas sailcloth. Loved them . So sturdy...

Very well - like a tent!

Absorbs a bit on the outside but keeps grips dry even in heavy rain.

Not huge pocket space but fine for most days.

19*  this one, I use it for the par 5s now and even on some short par 4s.  it doesn't get  me on but it gets me to  proper wedge distance then I  spin the dice and lob it up, I   got sick of missing with  a 3 wood  all the time and having to manufacture some miracle save,  did my head in  going  from  birdy chance  to bogie save   every par 5 .   so isaid  fk it , if I make bird it ll be thru a good chip and putt not some miracle  250 yard 3 wood onto  a green !

the  3 ute goes about  220-230  the 4ute  maxes   just over 200   and that goes high so that's a good un for the longer par3s.

the driving irons  same lofts I think are slightly  shorter but are beter for controlled shots. the 2 DI is basically just for the tee. its a tough ask off the deck most palces and anywhere where theres some kind of up  slope its hard.

but from a tee id much much prefer to hit the di than the ute.

Same gaps and ideas for me Stu. 3w can be costly if pulled out at the wrong time!
