  1. Not much has changed in the last 4 years apart from the driver. Titliest D910D2 RIP RC CV Pro Matrix TP7 RC TD+ UT95 S (3-PW) Custom (Gold Serial) MP32 S300 S TS X Wedge 52/8 Rifle 5.5 Tour Vokey 60 Jay Haas Rifle 5.5 Two Ball Blade Rapture 14* Adilia VS (Mini Driver - Change in and out with 3 iron) The only change I am thinking about is getting new 2 iron and 3 iron replacement hybrids. I love the TD+ 19 with the UT95. Does any one have any suggestions? What are the new versions of the TD+ and UT95?
  2. When ever I look in a fellow golfers bag or at a WITB I always look at the wedges first. I think it is a good sign of how seriously they take there setup. As a result of manufacturers producing so many wedge options (ie. CG12 = 16) golfers can now come up with there perfect wedge setup very easily. The combinations are almost endless! Actually, if you consider the custom grind, bending and shaft options available the combinations of wedges is endless! Everyone has a different wedge setup for different reasons and shots. Tell us about your wedges (photos would be nice too!), specifications, alterations and shots they are used for. I'll go first: Tourstage 2007 X wedge 52* with Rifle 5.5 This wedge is forged so it files in nicely behind my PW(mp32). The shape is relatively square and it sets up square so it is a nice transition club from irons to wedges. Shots: - 110 yards: full shot - 90 yards: open stance, 3/4 swing - Chip from rough or very soft ground - Bump and run from just off the green with lots of green to work with Titlest Tour 60* custom grind made for Jay Haas with Rifle 5.5 I simply love this wedge. I don't know what I would do with out it. Perfect out of bunkers and lobbing it up in the air. Not much bounce though so I don't use it too much on very soft ground. Shots: - 75 yards: open stance. 3/4 swing - Chip from fairway or hard ground (if too soft it digs so I use 52*) - Green side bunkers - High lob (the grind lets this club open up so nicely) The Rifles 5.5 in my wedges are a bit softer in flex and lighter then my DGS300s. I like this because I can feel the kick even on 3/4 shots. Any other questions - just ask! Lets hear some more>>>
  3. I use the UT95 in a RC TD+ and love it. The heavier feel helps the transition from steel shaft irons to graphite woods nicely.
  4. If you havn't been playing for long enough to know your swing style then i would go with something that feels good in one of your sets of irons. This might be hard however because by the looks of it you had some fairly exotic irons - likely to have exotic shafts. At the moment I have Rifle 5.5s in my wedges. This is because my old irons had Rifle 6.0s in them. I rarely hit full shots with my wedges so it seemed smart to go with something slightly weaker in flex in my wedges. Lighter shafts may send the ball higher(ns1050,1150,s200) and alow you to feel the club head more in your swing, heavier shafts might send the ball lower (s300,s400) and feel shaftier in you swing.
  5. I would love to have a full JDM bag but I simply cannot make as many putts with anything other then my Nike Black OZ T130. Check it out at https://www.nike.com/nikegolf Never thought I would ever use a Nike club. PS. Although centre shafted putters faces balance i don't think they are considered "face balenced" because they are still made to open and close during the putting stroke. If you want a "face balanced" putter for a straight back and through stroke the look for long neck answer style or a mallet style face balenced putter.
  6. Thanks for the info Chris. Am very interested to recieve it. Sasaya grind, Gauge special stamps - I'm happy enough
  7. Yeah.. hope the grooves are nice. I'll put up some better photo's when I recieve it. Gocchin any info you could find would be awesome. Love to know how many are out there..
  8. I just took abit of a risk on ebay. Just hope the condition is ok and I will be very happy: This is the items description: "A super one of a kind tour wedge that was put together by Gold's Factory to promote Gauge Design Japan. Note on the back of the wedge, the number of hand stampings of gauge caliphers that are in miny blue, white & red. You can also see the hand stamp circle "G" which is Gold's Factory custom hand stamp. Simply put, a very nice hand made professional wedge. Excellent condition overall. No major dings, normal bag chatter. S-200 DG shaft. Fairly new tour velvet grip. Grooves are deep, sharp, clean, and really Chew." Check out the stamps: What do you reckon? Does the description sound possible?
  9. Been alot of talk about Axiv and Roddio. Had the Roddio W-6BA in play for about 3 weeks now and thought it was time to share. This is my first review. Driver 1: Head: Epon 460ZR Loft: 9.5 Face angle: Neutral Shaft Axiv V 7072 Length: 45.75” In play: Early Feb – mid May Driver 2: Head: Epon 460ZR Loft: 9.5 Face angle: 1* closed Shaft: Roddio W-6BA Stiff Length: 46” In play: Mid May - Now Me: Height: 6’4” Driver SS: 105-110mph Tempo: Slightly smoother then average Bad shot: Right Previous Driver: Ping G5 with Aldila NV Stiff Feel: The Axiv V felt too stiff for my swing from the start. I was not feeling the awesome kick that I had heard so much about. I felt I had to attack the shot to feel any kick. The length was shorter then anything I had played and I really wasn’t feeling the thing load. Impact however felt great. The contact with the ball did feel better then anything I had hit in the past. The Roddio W-6BA kick is amazing. If you have a reasonably smooth swing then this is the shaft for you! The down swing is actually joyous because you can feel it load and kick straight through the ball and always feel where the club head is. Upon contact with the ball the feel is almost as good as the Aviv. It is a bit less crisp. Accuracy/Dispersion: I have a natural outside to inside swing creating a fading ball flight. My bad shot is definitely right. When my swing was on with the Axiv dispersion was very tight. Some rounds I was popping 10m fades out there and hitting 14/14. However, when my swing was more then a very slight cut I would send them hard right. The Axiv is designed to take out the left hand side and allow the golfer to attack the shot. This was not me. I really struggled to work the ball left with this shaft. I felt the shaft launched the ball very high but flattened out reasonably quickly The Roddio W-6BA has helped my bad shot a lot. I am more comfortable working the ball and can put quite a nice low draw on the ball with a smooth swing (something I couldn’t do with the Axiv). For my swing the Roddio came of the face slightly lower then the Axiv and flattened out just as quickly as the Axiv. I preferred this slightly lower trajectory. Distance: For my swing the Roddio W-6BA is 15-20 yards longer then the Axiv V spec. With the Axiv I was struggling to roll the ball past 240m (262yards). The Roddio I can roll out to the 260m (284yards) with a reasonably contained swing. Conclusion: If you have a smoother the average swing and lose it right on the odd occasion I don’t think you will find a better shaft then the Roddio BA series. I have given the best review I can of the two shafts with my swing, however I am sure that if you attacked the swing a bit more then I, it would be a different storey. For those with a faster tempo a comparision of the Roddio WA series vs Axiv would be really interesting. Please remember these are my personal experiences with these shafts with my swing. You have a different swing and your experiences will be different. Hope this has been useful! Kind Regards, rambo
  10. Tourstage TS201 3 and 4 with Rifle 6.0 +1/2" if interested. PM for price on just 4 iron
  11. Awesome set up. A real unique mix in there! Tell us about some of the clubs..
  12. Those irons look beautiful. Great pick up. Two brands that look absolutly amazing are PRGR and ON OFF but we don't hear many reviews of it. Can't wait to hear the review!
  13. I am 6'4" and I like it a about 46". More because I like to feel the longer shaft kicking nicely then anything else. I don't find an extra inch really effects how pure I hit the ball.
