Hi guys, I need help on deciding which ryoma to buy?

But need more info,

-what is the diff between D1,premia and Vspec?

-will the premia longer due to the length of the shaft? Not the head tech?

-is stated that vspec is for fast swinger, how fast? What is the SS?

-what the diff between TDI head and TDX head?

-any info on fujikura VT.50 ? Is it really curing out in?

Thanks for any info

My hdcp is 12

SS on driver 95

Smooth Tempo

Bad shoot out in.

Current distence carry 250y roll 260y

My driver is mac tec NVG2 wih GD DI5 R 45,75 D1,5 220CPM

Hi,

I'm 102-04 and using the V spec 9.5 Crazy CB46 7.2. A friend is about your ss and got the 6.7 CB 46 but 10.5 V spec. There is no inward roll at the top of the face and real lofts so at ur SS you may be better served with 10.5 if you use 9.5 with OTR drivers

Premia i believe is longer because of longer shaft.

If you fight the right side then D-1 or premia as the are neutral to close face bias while V spec you can get open.

I really think you can handle V spec @95 SS providing you get the right loft and shaft.

PM Tario and he will sort you out :)

It is a great driver with so many great shafts to choose from.. good luck

Eric

Hi Eric,

Many thanks for the reply.

If I use 50grams shaft, will it better I use the D1 or the v spec?

I still confuse abt the diff between all of them.

Especially the TDI head for D1 and TDX head for premia.

Will the vspec longer than the premia?

Hi All,

I am ready to buy Ryoma driver, have reading about it for about 2 months.

· My driver is R11 (9 Degree- a year and a half old) with GD Tour AD Di 6 – I like AD DI but the tip is real soft (didn't tip it) so I have to baby the swing every time when I hit ball. I can hit those balls low or high by adjusting my swing to hit at those balls at equator or below when teeing up.

· My SS is 100 MPH. A good driver will get me around 270 Yards. I am 5’ 10”.

· My tempo is real smooth – people told me.

· At the Sacramento, CA Golf demo – I could hit all drivers (TaylorMade, Cobra, TourEdge, and ..) . I got the almost the same distance. Those balls went to the same spot on the range. None of them knock my socks off. I hope Ryoma driver does.

My old and new drivers were Titleist, Callaway, and TaylorMade.

· I want to try Japanese driver.

Since I do not get to Demo Ryoma driver so my questions are below:

025]1. Which driver should I get Ryoma D1 or V-Spec assuming that I am getting older? I exercise lots.

025]2. What degree driver should I get 9.5 or 10.5 degree? I have read on the net that Ryoma ball fright is lower than other drivers.

025]3. Is it true that “Premia i believe is longer because of longer shaft.”?

025]4. According to your opinion - is there so much deferent in performance between Ryoma Stock shaft FS 1 and Crazy shaft? I have read so much about Quadra Fire Express Shaft but the issue is "What happen if I don't like after spending $600 on a shaft?

025]5. I wish I could demo Ryoma driver. I live in an agriculture area of California where some nice golf courses have cows as our audience watching us playing golf. It is about 2 hrs from San Francisco.

025]Thanks, David

The Ryoma flies a bit lower than other drivers at the same loft. It's a nice penetrating trajectory with low spin. Most low spin drivers are pretty unforgiving but this Ryoma packs both. At 100mph I would personally go for the Special Tuning model. It's almost sold out btw.

The D-1 driver is broken up into 3 models:

Ryoma D-1- Conforming Forged monocoque body and Titanium TDW face.

Champagne Gold IP Finish and Black Metallic Crown. Standard 45.25" length

9.5* (0* Face), 10.5* (0.5* Closed), 11.5* (1.0* Closed), HT13* (1.5* Closed)

Shaft mid kicking Tour AD FS-1 ranging from 44-66g and 3.0-5.0* of torque depending on flex

Ryoma D-1 Premia - Conforming Forged monocoque body and Titanium TDX face.

GOLD IP Finish, Crystal Brown/Black Crown. Standard 46.5" length

8.5*(0* Face), 9.5* (0* Face), 10.5* (0.5* Closed), 11.5* (1.0* Closed)

Shaft mid kicking Tour AD Premia ranging from 42-48g and 3.9-4.8* of torque depending on flex

Also available as HEAD ONLY 188-200g

Ryoma D-1 V-Spec - Conforming Forged monocoque body and Titanium TDW face.

Black IP Finish, Black Metallic Crown, Standard 45.25" length

8.5*(0.5* Open), 9.5* (0.5* Open), 10.5* (0* Face)

Shaft mid kicking Tour AD V-SPEC ranging from 54-66g and 3.0-4.2* of torque depending on flex

Also available with custom shafts or HEAD ONLY 188-200g

I just asked Tario on how to get one of this Special tune. My main question is which loft 9.5 or 10.5 degree. I hit Taylormade driver 9 degree. Titlest driver 9.5 degree.

Which loft should I get for Ryoma?

Thanks!

don't play guessing games with your money! go get your driver's specs digitally checked so you can actually decide on a target loft with your new driver! i'd be surprised if your 9* taylormade is even under 10*...

The genius who comes up with a non-guessing approach to shaft fittings will truly be a rich dude. Might take the fun out of what many do here, but I'm always shocked by how much trial and error goes into shaft fittings.

If the data you are providing is accurate, then I'd say keep the setup you have. 260 y with a 95 mph ss is pretty optimum, I'd say.

That's one way to see which head is best for you LOL. Here's a twister... maybe the shafts in those heads are not right for that head combo for you... :-) The Black I think wil be very very different from the DI5R1. Don;t know much about the claymore if at all.

the black setup on 45 inch. short and fairway finder. a bit stiff on a cod day.

DI5R1 being tipped 1/2 inch in 46.25 inch very looooong with premia, all i need is swing and boom 285 yards.

claymore made from aerotech steel fiber on very light shaft, 43gram, still testing it.

over all

d1 is soft. sometimes to soft with pro v1x

v spec a bit to hard for me

premia is the winner for me.

I posted questions about Ryoma V-spec driver above. it arrived last week - my comments are below:

  • Hit balls on a range - love it. I am so glad that I selected 9.5* with stiff stock shaft.
  • It is the most forgiving driver that I ever have.
  • Meticulously made. Appreciate the craftsmanship. Unlike those that make in China.

Has anyone upgraded Ryoma V-spec with Quadra Fire Express or CRAZY CB-80II NERO? How do you like those shafts?

Thanks for any of your comments!
