the stinger in a fairway wood is unbelievably BETTER than it is in a driver.

u want a new boron, i thoroughyl recommend tha crazy boron, that thing is great. especially in a 101 head.

ah there you are. i need a new driver shaft.

The extension: Does an extension affect the performance of a shaft much? Is it miniscule or should it be avoided? I mean, if you use a graphite extension at the grip end.

I added an inch to my set of NS Pro 950's using graphite plugs made from busted or discarded shafts. I did it only because I was tired of bending my knees so much to get at the ball. The result was, surprisingly to me, the shafts played a little softer and I can now more easily feel them load and unload. My knees also thanked me for making life easier for them. I got lucky with my results because the clubs feel and play much better for me now.

The extender is in a non stress portion of the shaft but for neatness I made a small neck and epoxied the extension in. Not perfect but plenty good enough and once the grip is on, only you and your clubmaker know for sure.

This makes me sad for your loss and brings back sad memories. I had my Fubuki M003 Ion tour issue break the same exact way while I was on the range at a tournament. That crunch noise still sends shivers down my spine...

this incident still gives me goosebumps. i am playing the original stinger

and i noticed that while i bend to tee the ball up i would lean on my driver on

the way up and down. not a fool lean but there was definetely pressure.

i wanted to Bitc#@#slap myself in front of my playing partners but that would look odd.

every once in awhile i catch myself doing it and when i remember the incident i would immediately

back off.

something as simple as this can break an expensive boron or the newer more fragile 80t shafts.

BE VIGILANT
