i love the worn out look of raw black irons...and even if i didn't, a simple 5 minute bath in black oxide in my garage and they look as good as new!

similar prep and procedure but black oxide is basically black rust whereas bluing is a stain. black oxide is easier but it doesn't last as long or get quite as dark. the bluing finish is more durable but takes a little more time. you still can't beat the fact that irons can look factory new in an afternoon in the garage.

I am at least 3 weeks out from playing mine. Have to get them from Spoon, which always seems to take longer than it should. Not his fault though. Then I have to get to my builder, pick them up and wait for winter to end. We are expect 8-14" of snow on Friday...
