Since when is Todd going by the Sellers name of cezchong on eBay?

;rofl Now be nice FAQ . Or he will have to come over for another visit and set us straight

Heys guys, I have been trying to be unbiased because I am new to golf forums, but I just posted on BSG to cancel my account and everyone wished me well :) and one member said don't let the door hit me on the way out, he needs to get a life. The reason I will no longer visit BSG because there was a post I was reading with an ebay link and not a moment sooner that post was censored. I don't see links here get censored. This kind of garbage and others similar goes on a lot on BSG doesn't it? Are BSG administrators paronoid that ebay will put them out of business? Give me a break!

It's not that anybody is paranoid over at bsg about eBay links per say . They have that rule so people won't post eBay links when other members might be bidding on the auction already .

Just so that they won't get beat out of the auction by other forum members . I don't really agree with it as anybody can go and find any auction at anytime , so to me " whats the big deal ".

But they do have there rules and you either live with them or do what you did or what many other's have and not go back .

So it's good to see that you have stood up for your beliefs . But lets try and end the bashing crap as it is getting old real fast .

Thanks

Mike

***Looks like Mike beat me to the punch***

I somewhat understand they're aversion to it. Their reasoning behind it is so that one person asks a question, posts the link and then boom everyone and their grandmother is bidding on the item. I think some people were crying cuz they feel like they got cheated out of a great deal.

Hi Mike

My intentions were not to bash BSG at all, point taken. Ok, BSG set the above rules to protect members that may be bidding on an Ebay item. BSG might have an agenda with this rule because there were some instances in which bighitter purchased some TS irons for $530 and then had them for sale for $700. I don't have a problem with bighitter buying low and selling high, its a free market, I would do the same thing, but I wonder who BSG is trying to protect with above rule? Like you said, whats the big deal, exactly!

Makes me wonder, and because it is a free world I made the choice not to visit BSG any longer.

Chainsaw, that makes clearer sense, but if someone is interested in something on ebay it would be only them shooting themselves in the foot to post the link, wouldn't you think? I guess that would be the risk you take. I for instance was negotiating for some MR-23 CB on Ebay and had some questions so I posted pics from the auction and not the link thinking I don't want everyone to check it out on Ebay. Even then I'm sure if anyone else was interested all they had to do was to search for it on Ebay. Like Mike said, what is the big deal.

I don't know, maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill.

Sorry guys, I'm off my soapbox now :P

I totally understand what you're saying. Personally, I'd say post away. Most of us search e-bay daily for stuff anyway. I'd feel a lot better if someone else said " Yeah, that's legit, go for it". Unfortunately, I don't know a way to post so only lefthanders could see(I'm righthanded) .The only problem I'd have would be someone posting about their own stuff to try to get the price up.
