club shuffling for next season. Hybrids to DIs

well, my wrist injury turned for the worst and ended up rupturing tendons in my small finger.

got surgery last Wednesday. Golf season is over for me. Sigh...

On the brighter side, I get to start day dreaming about my WITB for 2016!

Thinking about switching my 3 & 4 Hybrids with Utility Irons.

looking at Buchi SP 301 , Fourteen Type 7 or Honma TW-U as my candidates.

Probably will use Crazy STP 85g to pair up.

I like softer denser forged iron like feel off the face, but doesn't have to be forged.

Used to play a Mizuno MP Fli Hi 24 deg for a while which I really liked feel wise.

I did not like feel of the Epon AF 901 which had more of a hollow feel to it.

mid launching or higher preferred.

Any feedback on these Ute Irons would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Damn, that is horrible news.....good luck with rehab and recovery.....at least you can do a ton of core exercises and leg workouts in the off season.....

* I'm currently trying out the Adams DY driving type irons

Thanks, Robbie.

Yup, more time in the Gym would be good for me anyway!

One of my playing buddies has been using the Adams DY. He loves it.

Nob

Sorry to hear about your injury, hopefully you will have a full speedy recovery.

The Honma and Agrind DI's are very nice solid feeling clubs.

Can't comment on the ones you're interested in, but I prefer the 2012 Srixon DI over the 901, so maybe you should give the latest Sriky a blast. Looks good too.

I'm sorry about your injury noboru san.

I hope you get out there soon.

If you like dense feel if DI, can't beat syb.

Epon, srixon, honma, and a grind are good..... but man...... that dense feel of syb is addicting.

You should seriously consider syb.

Thanks Tae,

Which Syb model is that? I can only find the PIARM utility irons.

ah DIs! the story of my golf Hoing career.

HYBRIDS ARE love and hate when they are good they are good, bad they are awful.

Di's are sleepers and overall better performers for me.

Speedy recovery Nob! Wish you a cool head when building the bag for 2016!

Using the Fourteen HI-858 2I (18*) now.. You might consider it, although it feels a bit hollow but very soft on impact..

Doing well for me thus far, although my misses are going right.. Might be the shaft that's not working well with my swing..

Best for a full and speedy recovery from me, too, nob.

(A-Grind clubs are quiet sleepers across the board. Just had a personal best round on Fri with the CB's, the hybrid, and the wedges in my bag. Am even going to shaft up the driver one of these days...)

New PRGR Egg UT w/ lead tape + heavy shaft is a dream if you want consistent mid/high launching super long shots with nothing to fear.
