Video Blog - Indian Wells (Shot Tracer Edition)

4 posts in this topic

Another fun round with the Shot Tracer app from about 10 days ago, on a sunny but cold Sunday afternoon for my first time at Indian Wells. Heard lots of good things about the course and it didn't disappoint.

Great video.  You have a nice smooth swing.  Some of your best swings seemed to be the birdie approach on 10, 2nd shots on 3, 6, 15.  Take a look at those swings and see if you notice any difference in those from some of your not as good shots?

Thanks! Those swings you mentioned were 3/4 swings in my head but in reality they were probably 7/8 or full swings. The rest of the "full swings" were over swing, or technically speaking it is where I've already reached my natural full swing but my left elbow breaks down and created another mini hinge just so that it feels like I've reached the "top". It's a flaw I've had for 20+ years and something i need to work on during the off season.

This "left elbow" bending is most apparent in my driver swing
