I find the sweet spot for me to be right on the inside of the sight line towards the heel. Also I find it's easiest to hit on #1 for me at least.
-
K, I actually am too, I was also expecting the axiv's to be taper but they weren't but they still worked out fine. The Tour AD graphite are indeed taper though...
-
Actually according to the specs they are parallel tip. I soft stepped my axiv which were also 0.370.

So for all of you who love the Roddio wood shafts, Roddio has now released their new iron shafts, featuring their Pentacross Nanotechnology. With two models available and made to have all the benefits of graphite combined with the accuracy and dispersion of steel, Roddio aims to bring iron graphite technology to the next level. For those who prefer heavier shafts, Roddio has the I-10 Pentacross Iron shaft. Only available with S or SX Flex and weighing in at 105 for S and 107 for SX. Mid kickpoint and torques of 2.4 for S and 2.3 for SX. The lightweight model is called the I-8 Pentacross Iron shaft and is available in SR and S. 82g for SR and 83g for S with mid kickpoints and progressive torque across the shafts, 3.7-3.0 for the SR and 3.5-2.8 for the S. Great thing is you can easily soft step, hard step, tip trim to achieve desired stiffness/softness. Personally I will be softstepping an SR set to my liking. (^_^)

I have been loving my Roddio W-5BA for a month now for exactly the same reason you guys have been stating, great distance, feel, and STRAIGHT! It's actually coming out of my Yamaha 460D this weekend and going back into a custom Epon 460 that Chris got me. I will have quite a collection of drivers to test out hopefully with Roddio, Axiv, GD and Mach Line Proto, including the XXIO, Srixon WR, Epon, G-Field and the trusty Yamaha... Something else I want to try after making the switch to Axiv graphite in my irons which I absolutely love are the new Roddio Iron shafts. They are being used on the Japanese tour now which is where I saw them and turns out TSG can get them! (^_^)

ah I see! That's what threw me off in the first place. I couldn't recognize the insert. Thanks C.
-
I take that back, it's not an Odyssey.... better pic of sole, looks more like a Bettinardi like Chris said. A Studio B I think.
-
She appears to have switched two tournaments ago at Kingsmill.... It actually looks like some sort of Odyssey mallet, perhaps a prototype of some sort. Next to the insert you can see what looks like the Odyssey swirl logo... (she's still using the ViQ 2007 Forged irons (^_^))

Wow as forgiving as X-20's??? That's pretty darn forgiving. And they look way better (and feel way better too of course...) Thanks for the info! Do you have some pics of the irons at address? Just want to get an idea of how big they are compared to a golf ball?
-
Very good looking bag of sticks and great photos!! How do you like the Honma irons?
-
You'll love them. Getting them fit to your specs for lie will definitely improve on the already great feel these irons have. They are the top choice of ALL PRGR pros. Enjoy and please post pics and feedback after hitting them~!! (^_^)

Please help, id this wedge picture links to any post in the fourm?
gocchin replied to mofo.66's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It's the other way around, most of the pics in the forum come from the gallery. Chris can definitely give you more details about those wedges. He carries them. There has not been a post made in the forum yet about those wedges. -
Almost all bags in Japan are classified into two categories, stand bag and caddy bag. While some could pass as cart bags for sure, there aren't really any classified as cart bags. Tell me what you're looking for in a JDM cart bag and I will track it down. If it exists, TSG can get it. (^_^)

They are all forged out of SC25C as Chris mentioned. They come in 52* 56* and 58*. The 52*/7, 56*/24 and 58*/10 are available in Turf Rider models, made for the player who wants to square up to the ball. There is also a Sand Rider version only available in 58*/7 with low bounce and a more teardrop open face for those who want playability and control especially in close. All hand ground by Chiba with agressive tour grooves, and available in S400 or NS PRO 950GH. They'll be in the pro shop tonight with pricing. (^_^)

I appreciate your advice as always R. I still have a long ways to go to catch up to your game and your golfing experience/knowledge! By the way you back yet?
-
Never said I was trying to buy a better game ^^. I just like trying new stuff like many others here. But I still game with the same gear. Since I've gotten my custom Gauge The One, that is the only putter I actually putt with. I've only been using the Yamaha/Roddio combo even though I have 5 other drivers. For me enjoying the game is also about experimenting. ^_^ I'm still a long way from understanding my own game or the equipment that suits me so I don't think theres anything wrong with experimenting. I think I'm in fact learning a lot about my game, and golf equipment. (^_^)
-
It's not ONLY about the scores... it's also about trying new equipment, comparing, trying a different feel... heck if we all didn't want to look for the latest and greatest, none of us would probably be here! It's always fun to try new stuff and keep an open mind as idrive said! ^^
-
I love the epon wedges so much I just ordered 4 more from Chris... (^_^).... will be trying the Technity for the first time!

I have a good friend in Japan who found out recently that I'm really into golf. He sent me a set of Zodia wedges that he got through a friend that said they were in play by a girl on the JLPGA for a couple of tournaments. My first impression were that the heads seemed small... the 52* is a prototype of some kind and both are raw finish shafted up with Tour AD graphite and Ladies Iomic grips (which were too small for me). I went to the range to hit them this morning and I found them a lot harder to hit than my Epons. Maybe it was the grips^^l. The grips weren't to small for my wife who actually liked hitting the 58* and was stopping her shots right on one of the practice greens. Good looking wedge (though someone did crappy white paintfill on them that I will probably remove) but they didn't feel as good or as forgiving as epon X... For me the Epon is the best wedge out there.

There are quite a few guys here who have G-Field woods in their bag. I'm still carrying a 4 wood. Small sized head with good weighting and balance that is very easy to hit and get up in the air. Feels great and nice sound on impact. As ajaykkr says it sits square and is very classy looking.

That's for M-46 which is listed in the spec sheet with the MD900's on the PRGR site.... I had to look at aniother set of irons to get the weight for the M-43's which are 93-98g. ^^ -
