dorkman53
I hope they don't also jump on the $1000 shaft bandwagon. However, I suspect all of the high end manufacturers will have to start charging $1000 for one or two of their shafts, or fear that consumers won't think they are making top quality stuff!! What are the specs and prices, Chris?

Amen to that. I liked it when you could get really good shafts at a more "normal" price.
plus1
i too hope they dont jump on the 1000 dollar shaft wagon! but to be fair to GD i think their Tour AD Japan range is of superb quality and to be honest is probably IMO the best manufacturer of the moment. This is my opinion and within this i AM including the 1000 dollar shafts! Edited December 6, 2005 by plus1
acrazygolfer
I really like the I65, which Joe blue printed in the Alpha Reaction C380.2. I tend to be a little jerky from the top and this shaft provides a very smooth transition. In addition, here is no ballooning at the apex of ball flight. Very nice mid trajectory. I can't quite determine the roll factor yet!
james_san
Gotta say these ADs are good. Played a friend's 983K with a $300 AD (forgot the model name) and compared to the stock....Night and day. We are talking 30+ yards and completely different ball flight and feel. Phillip Alexander
:tsg_smilie_cool: The choice in shafts, particularly driver shafts is now pretty amazing. The one thing I would encourage all who are buying a new shaft is to go to and get themselves tested for swing speed. Mine is 108mph with the driver. Once you know what it is, post your details on the site. The members will give you some recommendations. After that email Chris and he'll will outline the best shaft options to maximize distance and accuracy.

Members will soon see improvements in their Accuracy and Distance ( lol Tour AD = Accuracy and Distance!) as well as a big empty hole in their wallets! But hey all for the good of the golf game..... :tsg_smilie_cool:

slicktry
Um...I think that it is important that GD keep pace with the rest of the industry, but to charge more for a shaft with 3.1* tourque, it won't fly. God Bless Jer
