  1. Understand the regular flex for Modus3 is out. Anyone can share his experience with it?
  2. I have 2 of them in driver and 5 wood. Ball will go straight but distance may suffer due to weight of Nunchuk, which after trimming is about 90gm. It works better with the fairway wood in my case. As it is shorter in length in FW, the the weight goes down to about 80-85gm. I can really hit straight with it in my FW. If you are a very strong hitter, the nunchuk is very suitable, as the weight is not a problem.
  3. Anyone have done the VD tip tuning( developed by crazy golf) for their clubs and how's the effect especially on the irons.
  4. Yes , my ball was at the 200m distance marker and with the 5 irons, the ball rolled and stops on the fringed of the green. I putt close to pin and got a par for that hole.
  5. Ya, me too gained distance with the modus 3. Hit my 5 irons almost 190m including roll, which is the longest 5 iron I ever hit. Overall, I gained about 10m. I think distance gained due to more solid contact with the ball at impact. somehow, the Modus 3 enables me to feel the club head and generate a stronger and smoother down swing, thus impact the ball better. comparing to my previous set of MC-102 with shimada K7001, it's a world of difference.
  6. Ordered a set of miura-giken PP-9003 (5-PW) and MB-5000WB wedge in 53* and 60*(special order to miura). I chose the NS PRO Modus 3 in stiff to go with it. It was fitted by Masaru-san of Vivo golf studio in Osaka. Received my order last week and played 2 games with it so far. I am very happy with the performance even it's my first 2 games with it. The modus 3 really feels smooth and launch the ball nicely. The PP-9003 is very forgiving and easy to hit the sweet spot. Best iron set I played so far. The MB-5000WB is awesome, especially the 60*. So easy to get the ball out of the sand. Overall, the swing weight at D2 for 5-P and D3 for the wedges, gives me a very solid feel at impact. Ball just rocket off the club face!
  7. Thanks. Hope to hear more of your reviews as you play more games with it. Happy golfing!
  8. Thank you for your valuable feedback as a user of PP-9003. Agree with you that feel is a very personal thing, also one needs more time playing with a particular model to have a better opinion of it. Since you have been gaming it, you are in a better position to share how the PP-9003 plays. Although there are many comments here that epon/on-off/yamaha is better than miura on forgiveness, I myself tried epon and on-off before, but like you find them clickish. Yamaha was quite similar to miura if not softer. Golfrules, since you have got the right shaft fitted, how does it play for you in terms of distance/forgiveness/ etc. than other heads you have played before? Appreciate your valuable feedback.
  9. Thank you Ara for your feedback base on your experience with the PP-9003 for about 75 balls. I really hope those who are gaming the PP-9003 for some time to share their experience as well.
  10. Thank you for your pretty detail explanation. What I am really looking for in my next set of irons is what you described as " how frequently you get pure shots; that is, how easy you perceive it is to "control" the club head into position to hit a straight shot." In short, how easy it is to hit the sweet spot of the club head. Looking at the club head design of PP-9003, it seems to have a wider club face compared to the epons or yamahas. I thought that would give better forgiveness. In fact the shape of the PP-9003 looks very similar to the very popular Honma LB-280, which is famous for it's forgiveness.
  11. Hi Ara, can you be more specific about others being better than the PP-9003. I would like to know which area of the PP-9003 is inferior. An example of info I need is like what Spoon has provided me infos on the characteristics of the NSPRO modus 3 shaft. He is very specific on how the modus 3 performs and it helps me alot. Thank you.
  12. Sure, I will feedback it's performance after a couple of games. this is what the forum is about. Share information!
  13. Thanks spoon for your valuable feedback. Today went back to fitting shop and tried the demo club with the modus 3 again. You are right, it has a punchier kick at impact, which really helps to get the ball up in the air. I love this feel which my shimada can't give me. Because of this, every shot seems to be very solid. I am sold!
  14. Hi, i am also considering to get of set of miura giken PP-9003. Since you are gaming it for a while, care to share your experience with the 9003? How's the forgiveness/distance/control/softness compared to other forged irons. Thanks.
