  1. Just sold my Gloire 2013 Driver and purchased the 2014 model. Also sold the 5 wood and replaced it with the 2014 model too. Have yet to take them to the course for a try out.
  2. Took the Reserve Driver out to the range last night for a test. As compared to my TM Supermax and switching my Bassara Red shaft between the both heads, definitely can see additional distance gain over the Supermax. Like I mentioned, I don't have a quick swing and would agree that a non-sports person like me would benefit from this Composition head. Swing is effortless and would say I like the feel of the Driver at impact. For 1st try; a happy owner :-D
  3. As i have an average to slow swing speed, have changed my newly purchased Gloire Range 3 pieces to Mitsubishi Rayon Bassara Red and Blue shafts. Driver and 5 wood 53 grams series and hybrid is in 50 grams series. Can't wait to try them out at the range tomorrow :)
  4. My 4 Titleist Wedges (48, 52, 56, 60) All made in Japan Version & the Putter.
  5. Finally made the decision and changed my Driver, wood and hybrid. Yesterday went to a newly opened 2nd hand store and bought mint condition 2013 Taylormade Gloire Reserve Driver and also the same year Gloire Hybrid (Rescue #4). As for the 5 wood, later the same day purchased it brand new from the local Taylormade Retailer. Will make time and post some pictures here soon.
  6. Changed my irons this year to Miura Giken PP9003 irons from 5-P and shafted them with Mitsubishi Rayon Bassara Red 50 gm composite shaft. Also acquired the Titleist Vokey Forged cold wedges for 52, 56 & 60 degrees. I did not make any changes to my Forged 48 degrees wedge, it is still the same Titleist Forged wedge for year 2012. Still deciding whether to change my Driver, 3 wood and hybrid to this year's Taylormade Gloire mofels.
  7. Sorry for the grainy pictures, will try to use a better camera another day.
  8. Decided to get the Eggbird instead. Did some swing at the top level of the golf shop with both the PRGR drivers, but computer data shows that i ammore consistent with the Eggbid driver. Before i left the store, also swop the initialpurchase of the Vokey wedge in 54* to the 52*. Added another Vokey wedge in 56* too. Soi am back home and now eager to try out my new purchases:)
  9. Will post the pictures once i arrive back home from Japan over next weekend. I only have my Macbook and no camera now. Apologies! Still have not made up my mind about which driver i should buy before i return home. IT is definitely PRGR, but have 2 choices: a. PRGR EGGBIRD @ 46.5 inches M37 flex 10* or b. PRGR EGG IMPACT (new) @ 43.5 inches M37 flex 10.5*
  10. Still here on holiday in Japan but leaving for home from Tokyo on the 12th April 2012. (Good things comes to those who waits) Better than never :)
  11. Thanks for the feedback, noted :)
  12. They did recommend the EggBird to me. But that was before the release of the Egg Impact. Sigh....
  13. Thanks for the exchange in conversation. I think also you gave me an idea too. Yes, control should come first before distant. thanks and cheers!
  14. I usually measures my swing speed in M/S. and not sure what is exactly in mph. However i've heard that there is a formula to convert your 102/3 mph to M/S. trying googling around and perhaps you can search the formula out. My problem is a little different from you. I know my swing speed in M/S and is M37. PRGR now has 2 drivers in M37. One is the Egg Impact (43.5) and the other is Eggbird (46.5). The former is shorter whilst the latter is 3 inches longer. They are both at the extreme spectrum of a reuglar driver length (45 inches) and i don't know which one to buy before i leave for home on the 12th April from Tokyo. Just confused cos i don't want to make a mistake a regret it later.
  15. The Seven driver only comes in M43 (Stiff) version stock shaft (45.5 inches) besides two other non-stock shaft versions (45 inches). The Impact driver is offered in stock shaft only (43.5 inches) and is in M37 (regular), M40 (Stiff Regular) and M43 (Stiff). These are all Japanese versions of stiffness (different from the American's ones). As is stated, Seven means 7 degrees loft and meant for strong hitters whilst the Impact can be used by slower swing speed players. Hope this information helps.
  16. Oh that small red rectangular tester from PRGR? I actually had the 1st hand experience of using them at my local pro shop that had just ordered one in. Being a regular customer they offered it to me for a trial test. The readings came up good and consistent. Usage is very straight forward and had no glitches at all. I was not so certain about the readings that small equipment was giving me. So, last week when i was in Tokyo, stopped by the Science Fitting Center at Ginza. Made an appointment with them and also got my swing speed tested there. You know what, the findings on swing speed were also identical with the small pocket equipment. Now i am convinced about my current swing speed and am able to go out there and source for golf equipment that suits my speed. By the way, this equipment can switch between MPH and M/S readings. A little pricy thought in my opinion. But, if you have the money in your pocket, buy it:)
  17. I am here in Japan and was in Tokyo 4 days ago. Personally got a quick look at the Egg Impact Driver. If i am not wrong it is about 3 inches shorter the the Egg Driver. I went to Ginza and got a Swing test @ the PRGR Science Fit Center. Found out that at an older age now my swing speed is only at 37m/s. Thinking really hard as to which Driver i should buy...the Impact version or the earlier Egg Driver at 46.5 inches. I am in a situation, can anyone give me some word of advice?
