  1. All, I hate to admit it but I was suckered into getting these. All I can say is WOW I am glad I did! I have the whole series as well as keeping a fresh stock of impact tape. I know I know, I am just one of those that bought into the hype. For ME and me alone (not anyone else), JMO but it really freed me up to NEVER worry about a swing thought AGAIN! I am not a scratch golfer nor a 36 either. I am a 12 right now. He goes through several examples of visualization. One being the bat hitting a home run to either left, center, or right field. Another is the club face is like a hammer head and the shaft is just the carrier. The ball has a 16 penny nail sticking out of it and you just match line 5 of the face (just below center) and drive the nail (center of the ball) into a base board (target). I bought the original dvd and found it interesting. Have gone on to buy the rest as well as the impact tape. The tape alone was well worth the price of admission. Truely shows where you are hitting. Feel is NOT real. All it comes down to is releasing the hands through the impact area. The ball will tell you whether the release was early (hook), just right (center), or late (slice). Really nothing new at all. I guess after so many years of trying to get into certain positions where the swing is concerned and so many thoughts, I was a mechanical mess. This simple plan got me away from ALL of that and onto just hitting the ball freely. With just a simple plan I have been able to go from just hitting and hoping to now being able to shape shots. I hope this helps anyone who reads this on the decision whether to buy into this or not. All I can say is that it really has saved my game and never ever going to look at Golf Digest, Golf, etc.. instruction AGAIN! Birdman P.S. McSub, a friend of mine on here noticed a world of difference with my swing. He saw my swing after last seeing it over a year ago and he says I am much more of a fluid confident swinger then before when I was very mechanical. Glad to know that he noticed the change. Reinforced what I was doing. Again this has freed me up to worry about the course management aspect and target selection and NOT a bunch of garbage swing thoughts!
  2. Joe, First night I am back on the site in months and you still never seem to disappoint. I thought you only had an eye for club design. Looks like clubs arent the only thing you got your eyes on. Joe you really are DA MAN!!!
  3. I will second, third and forth that sentiment! Joe not only helped me over the phone (was recommended to talk to him by fellow TSGer MCSub), but also to my pleasent surprise was one of the most knowledgable and nicest guys out there. I will also agree that NO ONE ELSE will EVER touch my clubs again. Joe and Joe alone is the only one to work on my clubs. We talked on several occasions on every aspect of my game (as detailed as I could without him ever actually looking at my swing). One thing that you have to understand about Joe as others can testify, if you want Joe to work with you, you have to be willing to get as detailed and to be as honest as you can where your game is. He can only go by what you tell him and if anyone is not upfront, then he does not want you to waste his time. He is THAT good and very busy for anyone who only wants his info and NOT his business. Sorry about the rant. Joe is just the BEST in the business and should be treated as such. Anyways, just my 2 cents worth but I will be giving a full review on all the work he has done for me. Lets just say that my blueprinted clubs: Driver - Wedges has taken my game to a whole new level. Never ever thought I could work the ball until Joe (Da Man) got me on the right track! My review will be in the clubmakers section within the next week or so. Take care and hope everyone hits em straight and far. P.S. And if you havent figured it out already Joe is just THAT GOOD!!! Later.
  4. Just have faith in it. Dont give up on the grip. It does take a while to get comfortable with the strange feeling of something different. Try and take a club and grip it every night for about a half an hour. In no time flat you will start feeling more comfortable with this new grip. Once this falls into place, you are one step closer to getting your scores down to where you need to be. Just remember with a good grip, everything else builds from there. Good luck and stick with it, and above all else, be patient.
  5. IMO I think you should really try and work with the neutral to a bit weak of a grip. I used to have a very strong grip and was not consistant at all. Once I made the change I am now able to work the ball with just the slightest movement of my hands through the impact area. Beleive it or not, once I went to a neutral grip I was able to go back to drawing the ball whereas before with the stronger grip, all I could do was cut or duck hook. Also try and look at Ben Hogan's famous book, 5 lessons (the standard by which all other instructional books are measured.) This will show you the proper way to hold the club. Most people grip it in their palms whereas you should be gripping it with the fingers and let the club move away from the palms (aka. Natural Golf) :yuk: The so called V's that are between your thumb and index finger should go as follows, the left hand V should point to your right ear and the right hand V should point to your chin. This is for a neutral grip. If you want to change to a weaker or stronger just move both either towards your left (weaker) or right (stronger). Again my advice first off is to pick up Hogans' book. This will show drawings of what I am talking about. Good luck and stay with the neutral grip, your game will thank you in the long run.
  6. Hey David92, Why dont you step off. MCSub is a pro when it comes to treating people more than fair. It is not our fault you live in the UK and the prices are out of sight. Try being more considerate on this site or else just leave. We do not need your kind here. If you cannot be respectful, you are more than welcome to go onto some other site such as golfdigest.com and talk smack. Until then, either put up or shut up.
  7. Well if owning a blade is wrong then I dont want to be right! But then again, I guess I am a glutton for punishment, I AM MARRIED! Hilarious!
  8. Heard these are the new fw from Nike. Looking for possibly purchasing one. If anyone has info please pass it along. Thx.
  9. Try widening your stance. I had the same issue until I was told to widen my stance alot more than I had thought. I am 6'3" tall and was sliding more than I wanted. Once I made this change it allowed me to slide less but yet open my hips faster. Give that a shot.
  10. Just found this company's web site and must say, the drivers alone are worth the price of admission! From what it looks like, it should be a company to look out for. Has anyone seen these and or hit them? They look beautiful and was hoping to get some feedback. Looking forward to any and all comments.
  11. Have to say thanks again for all your help Joe. Can DEFINITELY tell EVERYONE in the group that this man knows what he is talking about. If you deal with anyone else you are either selling yourself way short or just going down the wrong path. Have a great trip and hope all goes well in the far east. Look very forward to when you get back. Thanks also to MCSub for being a great friend and getting me pointed in the right direction with Joe and this site in general. All great people who are the most knowledgeble in the business. Who says people do not help each other anymore. Thanks again all and cannot wait to get the right fit for my game. JOE K is the VERY BEST! Thanks again!
  12. Hope as many members can help on this one. I just LOVE my Ignite 460 and can bomb it a long way. Problem is I have way to light and soft shaft that the only way to control the hugh cut is by having such a strong grip it is almost like a baseball grip. I normally have a hogan type grip and want to go back to it. Only way to really work the ball. I have my swing speed up to around 110 and getting faster. I had a pro spec me out to a Speeder 757 S but that was with a KZG 360 head (I think) He wanted to charge me 750 Dollars for this new setup! Can you believe that. It loaded right at the proper time and was straight down the line. I just dont know if the Speeder would be way to stiff. I play a 10.5 degree and am worried about reducing loft and trajectory. I have evaluated about 10 shafts on all counts and it looks like either the 757 or Pro Launch 65 would be the best choice. I want something that I could work with as my speed increases. I would go with other shafts but the Butt size on the Aldila is a bit larger and the grip size would restrict my hands turning over. Also I am looking to reshaft my Titleist 983F 15 degree. Have YS-7 R and was speced out to the MFS 65 S-1. Any opinions on either of these clubs and right fit would be most welcomed. Thanks again!
  13. Hi all, Brand new member here and must say so far, the BEST site out there for information. Thanks again. Anyways, I was just wondering what truely is the best blade out there. I play the Nike blades since the beginning and have really come to love them. Here is my dilema, I can either go with a reshaft to a true Dynamic Gold S300 D3 to get them to my swing speed, or should I just sell these as is and go with the Miura or other blade? I am more concerned of course with feel and workability then looks. Wondering what is the best route for the money I will be spending. Any information would greatly be appreciated. I did call Joe K and left a message on the reshaft and waiting for a reponse. Heard he was on vacation so not to worried. Anyways, please let me hear from all who play blades and give an honest opinion. Thanks again and I am very glad to have joined this web site.
