  1. Tourspecgirl, Hi Jacque, :smile1: yea running down the road and smearing Dove soap all over his face, that would increase market share :smile2:

  4. Hi Guys, why are all these pro's getting more offset? sounds like they would like the MP-29's JerryMB
  5. Hi Guys, i got a 8* 5N2 driver that i thought i might install a purple ice stiff shaft, i play my drivers at 45.5", i like a D5 swingweight, and a stiff flex, any tipping secrets, JerryMB
  6. tsg4tch, thanks, i didnt have time to type it up right, you will see Mike Austins swing there, JerryMB
  7. CLmelton yea it didnt help when Mike got hit in the face with a golfball in 1954, and lost the site in one eye for a year, it played havoc with putting even when he got his vision back, If you want to have a fun read, check out Philip Reeds new book, In Search of the Greatest Golf Swing, Mike Austins full story, they got to be nuts not to make a movie about this guy JerryMB
  8. clmelton, even though Mikes been around for ever, his playing career was some time ago, even most fans of today have no clue Mike hit a 515yd drive or had a tv show outwest, its been the researcher only thats found Dan and his book and DVD, that might change though, Dan is teaching a seminar in Texas at the North Houston driving range the 10/23 and 10/24, and is starting to develop a tour around the country, as for the swing, its by no means a easy swing at first, there is enough new things to work on such as the drills, also one thing i find is not being able to see ourselfs in motion, most of the time i find students have a misconception of what they are doing, so i am not surprised when someone has a proplem with a certain area, also its not oncommon to see the old swing try to creep in somewhere, since you have been taping yourself, is there anyway you could post some footage? :smile1: JerryMB
  9. CLMELTON, :smile1: , HI, the the throwing of the club as well as the counter rotion of the club starts at the start of the downswing, most people try to do it down by the ball, which wont work right, JerryMB
  10. Hi Guys, the Mike Ausin Method, was developed by Dr Mike Austin, a unique person in golf history, Mike in 1974 in the U.S. National senior open on a flat hole hit a drive 515yds, a PGA record still today, and he hit two other drives over 400yds that same day, amazing considering that he was playing a balata ball and was using a short persimmon driver, Dr Mike has advanced degrees in Physics, mechanical engineering, and Kinesiology, he is now 94 yrs old and not in good health, yet still gives some lessons, has anyone here got any of the books or videos of his method? or is using the swing? :smile1: JerryMB
  11. Indacup, its interesting how even after all these years, the grip is the one thing that i have not had to change, my only maintenence that i have had to do was to keep my left hand from getting to strong, of course i have played around with the long and short thumb and found that i like to error on the shorter side, with this Austin grip the one point that i had to change was to put the right thumb on top of the shaft instead of on the left side, wow your really lucky that your wife chose the Austin swing, i really think in the longrun she is going to be a happy camper, and when she gets up to speed you will have a trained pair of eyes for your swing as well, it must be nice to find a women that really likes golf like that, i havent been so lucky, well i will start a Austin thread here in swing doctor, JerryMB
  12. Indacup :smile2: i could never get use to calling you that, anyway i didnt find the grip to be that different, i was tought when i was a kid to have club under the cheek of the left hand and the middle two fingers of the right, we just used a stronger grip thats all, JerryMB so you would rather have it here then starting a new thread?
  13. PxExG, how is it going, have not typed with you in a while  I thought it was the 771 thats so popular, but doesnt that have a softer tip?
  14. so they are ending the 761? i bet you have a few left right? whats the price on one? JerryMB
