  1. i never watched the tapes but... they make the little baseball bat club now that he uses in that infomercial...i hit some shots with it at my club, it feels and looks ridiculous... ive never been a big fan of golf instruction videos and the testimonials, id rather just go and figure it out on my own...
  2. unless youre playing in like high heels or moccasons i dont think its really something thats affecting your swing
  3. hip, your avatar seriously had me laughing for about 45 minutes.
  4. torque...the amount of twist in a shaft, measured in degrees, usually between 1.5 and 5.0
  5. guys please correct me if im wrong in any of these... -torque is how much the shaft turns the clubhead, or the effort required to turn the clubhead...thats really poorly worded, maybe someone else can help me with that definition -a shaft's kickpoint is exactly that, the point where it kicks.... a lower kickpoint will launch the ball highest and not feel as stiff as a shaft with a mid or high kickpoint -tipping is trimming the tip end of the shaft before installation. the more you tip it, the stiffer the shaft plays... -spinning or as some people call it puring...is having the shaft analyzed so that the spine of the shaft is aligned and installed in the clubhead in the most optimal way... laterz!
  6. i just had to post about this...some of you will not give a s**t so please ignore...those of you who do, trust what i say... if theres any hard rock fans on the board...seether's new album, "karma and effect" is probably one of the best albums ive heard in a long time... check it out... peace!
  7. i got a 4... ive only been to canada once, when i was in college, and i dont remember how i got back...
  8. any chance you can post a pic of it? id be interested to see...
  9. rossa mezza monza centershaft, 35" brand spankin' new...headcover and all...still has plastic on sole... $80 shipped holla...
  10. the sole resembles the original 500 series, unlike the XD retail series with the sharp edges...it'll have the TP crest on the toe as opposed to "titanium"...the serial number will be TXXXXX, possibly with a batch letter above it, or will have no serial number at all...sets up square to open, as opposed to the retails which mostly sit closed...feels and sounds more solid instead of the hollow sound of the retail...a lot more difficult to find since theyre not released for retail, also costing a lot more....tip diameter is .335 instead of the .350 on the retail... i have two R580XD TP's and can say from experience that theyre a much better feeling and performing club than the retail...id expect no less of the 540's... theyre worth the money, in my opinion
  11. measure the tip diameter...in most cases, if its a parallel its .370, and if its taper its .355
  12. could be a lot of things... most commonly ball position, too much head movement, and/or weight shift issues
  13. i like him...it balances out...you have a neutral commentator in dan hicks and jim nantz, and then you have analysts like miller and lanny wadkins with a little bit of attitude and abrasiveness...it works out well...read his book, "i call the shots"...you might understand him a little better then....i promise, the guy knows what hes talking about. its the people like bobby clampett and peter kostis who make the most moronic calls on the course...i swear ive heard more dumb s**t come from those two than every analyst combined...
  14. ditched the steelhead, picked up a DF in a 9.5 and i love it with the new swing...loft is now my friend instead of my enemey... probably gonna ditch the R7 TP, but i never really liked it anyways...i'll stick with the 500 series... just might order a set of 32's if funds work out right
