  1. Perhaps too late but I think Caly does now only .350 tip in the standard S2H2 hosel. That's true that you can apply many ferules and adaptors then to input .335 tip shafts as well.
  2. Hi guys. It's been a long time... Well, I have a question about balance. It seems to me that I am more comfortable with heavy club-head. Well, heavy, let's say that I prefer playing that kind of Super Steel 7 fairway wood that those new Callaway Fusion woods. Same with drivers : my 983E would be fine if it was more around 440cc, instead of Cally 454 or Fusion FT3 I am not able to control. My questions are: what is average driver head weight? Around 190-200g (sorry, metric system in SI...) I guess, is it true that Titleist heads are more? In certain extends, is it possible to play with club swingweight to have a better feeling with light heads? How does it affect MOI? Thanks for explanations and any help, because as you know, finding the good combo head-shaft for the driver is like that Holy Graal quest!!! Chris, (almost) back from hell...

  4. ARGGGLLLL!!!! I am currently working to upright it 'til death!!!!! You're killing me...
  5. Hi. No way to find anywhere the info: possible to have that combo? It seems that it is not possible to put a steel shaft on a SS-02/SS-03 fairway wood...Anyone knows? Thanx.
  6. you would end up with 51-6. Exactly. It sucks.
  7. Ok, I found the answer by myself: CLEVELAND!!!
  8. Hi. Here is the problem: I have a vertical swing, because this what I am feeling with, even with my driver. With my wedges, I have a problem: I can find petroleum with those clubs, as I dig them right into the turf to the center of Earth... Well, I have less problem with huge bounced clubs. I can easily use my 56-11 (and I am sure I would feel more comfortable with 56-14), but cannot play consistent shots with my 52-7 if the turf is not hard as hell. I am currently studying the opportunity to have a 51° of loft wedge, but with 9 or 10° of bounce. Difficult to have in retail. The question is: is it relevant to take a 54-9 and to bend it to 51? What incidence on the bounce? What's the best way to get what I am looking for? Thanx, and sorry if this topic is not in the right forum. Chris.
  9. Be very careful!!!! Mizuno standard specs are not standard at all, exactly as the most of the other brands. Instead of asking +XX" and /or +/-XX up or flat, take the "real" measures of the club that suits you very well. Then give the rep the exact measures based on this sample. I know what I am talking about, be sure this is the good way to do it. If you're going on the Bay, for example, most of the guys that sell iron sets give the exact measures, length and lie, usually on the 5 iron. You can have a look on the specs given by the website of the brand you want to buy clubs, and compare with the sample iron that is ok for you, and you can define that way the exact length and lie adjustements you want based on the brand standards you found on the site. Is it clear enough? I know my english sucks...sorry. :D
  10. The No-Tour Specs bag! Brand new in your stores!! :D Titleist 983 E 9.5° True Temper TX 90 S/X 43" (no, not a 3-wood...), Golf Pride V55 full cord. Titleist 980F Strong 15° Royal Precision Rifle 5.5 42.5" (yes, this is a 3-wood...), Lamkin Cross-Line. Taylor Made Rescue 3 19° Royal Precision Rifle Micro Taper Stiff, Taylor Made TNG. Mizuno MP37 3-PW Royal Precision Rifle Flighted 6.0, +3/4", 2° up, Lamkin Cross-Line +2 wraps, PW D5, 7-9 D3, 3-6 D5 (this clubmaker sucks...). Mizuno Raw Black Ox 56° Royal Precision Rifle Flighted 6.0, +3/4", 2° up, Lamkin Cross-Line +2 wraps, D7. Mizuno Raw Black Ox 52° bent to 51° Royal Precision Rifle Flighted 6.0, +3/4", 2° up, Lamkin Cross-Line +2 wraps, D7. Mizuno Tour Style Pro Specs Y-304 polished (beautiful lightning silver finish), Scotty Cameron Studio Design grip, +2 wraps. Titleist Pro V1x, beautiful for my drives, but I make parmeggiano cheese on every wedge shot...
  11. Right. I am not a good player but I can hit it a ton. The pals I lent the club to try it have 2-3 handicap and play hard shafts. But no shot...well, anyway, we made some huge forks for our barbecue with this club, so it doesn't matter anymore...
  12. Ok, thanks for the feedback. Perhaps NV 65 X .350 tip has a future for me...
  13. Thank you guys!! I'll do it.
  14. Not really a matter of clubmaking, but more customizing. Anyone could tell me how to remove paint in the letters on my Mizuno blade set? I saw a Tour Pro with MP32s and he did that on his set, leaving everything in the original steel color. That's beautiful. As I don't want to scratch my clubs, any help would be really appreciated. Thanks. Chris.
