I don't think you understand, I'm not talking about TM selling to shops, I'm talking about full blown non authorized product coming out of the factory in China. There was no R7 TP discount sale last August was there? R7 HT? Tour V-Steel's? This is totally different, when your stock comes in does it come from Australia or China? My guess is from TM in the U.S. Most often it ships to another country before they ship it to the U.S and most often its Country's with very loose custom laws. Do not think this is only TM, Nike golf apparel seems to fall of the truck very often, Scotty fakes are huge, Titleist Tour 970's etc.. Selling over the internet to non contract buyers has opened a whole new door to importing China price goods. TM does dump bulk heads to good accounts, but usually at the end of the products life span. a Good Example was the R7's released March 10th last year in scattered amounts to used golf shops in Japan when the release was supposed to be late April in Japan and June/July in the U.S. This was reported as a warning in the used golf shop monthly publication for the store owners. Thanks for the Info, Myself, I don't know much about TM tour just that R7 Shallow TP tours are 200 head only if you buy 200 pieces from the Chinese Taylormade Factory. R7 Tour T##### are only 150.00 at a minimum order of 200 pieces also, Tour V-Steel 100.00 each if you buy 150 heads, R7 TP stand bags 150.00 if you buy 50 or more. The Majority of late model TM Tour woods are non authorized aka fake IMO. I'm sure many many of you have them in the bag also. Do you guys know the factory also sells the retail defects with pimples and small imperfections? R7 TP 150.00 & R7 HT 150.00 heads only. authentic just not authorized by TM. Who remembers last Feb. I asked Mr. Solomon and all the big wigs at the R7 launch party in Tokyo about fake tour heads, their answer was: no Tour head comes un shafted or in shrink wrap....LOL :poop: Tour heads are not sold or given in bulk and if they are they are fake. I hope they are all in Tokyo for this month's fair, I'm betting they don't want to answer questions about the China factory again. Kudos to Callaway they admitted they had a problem in China and also talked with me about their remedy last year. I have a question, when a model is discontinued, TM has contacted our store asking if we want to buy a bulk closeout. On two occasions they have offered Tour Surplus Heads: Last Summer: XD Tour Heads, and a couple years back 200 Tours Heads. Both were offered in bulk deals. $.02 Tour department and Retail are completely unrelated entity's with OEM's. You are basing your theories with data supplied from the the same sources that claim Tour Clubs do not exist(example: titleist). The response you received should prompt you to laugh at how uninformed and foolish this guy is, not to validate his ignorance. I live in Western Michigan an area that is home to several large Titanium and Steel Foundries. Howmet, a local firm was one of the largest suppliers of Titanium Driver heads in the world. Producing heads for Mizuno worldwide and Cobra up until recently, and still a large supplier for Golfsmith. 100% from qualified sources that work in the metal industry: Companies use different grades of Titanium for different clubs(big duh on that one). Different grades require different tooling, which is also produced in great quantity here. I do not think that anyone really thinks they use a different metal, its just that all 6-4 or Sp700 is not created or refined equally. The difference may not be as large as often thought of, I'll conceed that. As pure or perfect as it comes, that's the TI they use for these limited runs. Beleive what you wish, I will take my comfort in first hand knowledge and refrain from getting worked up at info from a biased source(competitor of big brands).
