Top 3 Tips that I got out of this Forum

AKFLY

Recommended Posts

1- How to build a graphite shaft extractor for like $20.00

2-Using wooden dowels in your steel shaft for dampening.

3-How to install tight ferrules - soak in hot water than use eposy as a lube.

Not that all the advise is great but these are my top three.

Thank You !

huh huh huh (trying my best Butthead impersination)...he said lube. :D

On a serious note I would say these:

1) Benefits of checking lofts/lie angles regularly and tipping shafts to different lengths for different results.

2) Shortening my irons a half of inch and the benefits.

3) What to look for if I send some irons in for rechroming (weight of head after and the copper nickel layer)

On a serious note I would say these:

1) Reading Mike talking about swinging flat made me think to get my hands high....my new swing thought.

2) Shortening my irons a half of inch

3) This may not be a tip but it sure helped my game...my first tour driver purchase was due to this site and it has helped my driving by leaps and bounds.

Those are good - but I was focusing on the club builders forum.

He also said shaft-yeah shaft- nice shaft.

Sorry about that AK...I guess I should look at the forum a post is in more often. I will edit my post if you want me to.

Hey - no problem AL. I would just like to hear what evreyone has learned.

I am a student of club building and this site has been very helpful - and most evreyone will go out of their way to respond to your questions - no matter how trivial they may be.

Question for you then AK . How do you think a NV tipped the same as yours work in my 510Mid ??

Mike,

The mid has a 2 inch insertion vs. 1 1/4 inch on my TP, so I would not tip it. My theory was that according to Aldila, for the NV to play to flex in needs to be inserted 1.75". I tipped mine 3/4 of an inch to play a tad stiffer.
