Hello all, new to this site which I only have found a few days ago, great site!
Here is my delema. I've been using a Titleist 822OS iron set with Nippon NS Pro 950 stiff flex shafts for about four years now. I've always like them but wanted to try something new. I ended up buying a set of the Nike Pro Combo OS irons. I love the feel of the forged club head and when I demoed them I was hitting the 6 iron between 180 and 200 yards on the launch monitor with the standard TT Speedstep stiff shafts. I couldn't pass up the deal I got on them so I bought them. It was a different story though out on the course, I was pulling ever shot. I believe these shafts are a bit lighter than the Nippons in my Titleist so I was attributing it to the shafts. To make sure this was the case I did a side by side comparison of a Nike club and a Titleist club and sure enough my Titleist was straight as an arrow and the Nike pulled to the left. It isn't a dramatic pull but was enough for me to pull ever shot left of the greens.
So. I really like the Nikes so I decided to reshaft them but am a little confused on which shaft to select. Should I go with the same Nippon shafts in my Titleist or TT DG300 (heavier shaft) or Dynalites?
I can't remember what my swing speed was but I think my 6 iron was in the high 80's low 90's, My driver is about 107-110.
Any suggestions? The Nippons match up good with the Titleist but would they do well with the Nikes?
Thanks
