  1. AddThirty ...between Senayan and Blok M...Ask for Budi and tell him Mr. Harlan sent you... Phone:0217392518 ...and if you are ever looking for a game, I play Senayan 4-5 times a week early mornings...
  2. I loved the a25 3w 15* that I demoed except that the closed face had me drawing exclusively, with some hooks thrown in...but even with the stock shaft (I always change shafts) I was suprised at how incredibly solid feeling the club was at impact, the easy alignment, how the ball got up (high, high ball) but also how it carried...the ball goes high sure enough, but it flattens out and keep going...I hit some of the longest three woods that I ever have with that demo and range balls...very impressive, and if they ever come out with a more neutrally biased model I will be all over it... Nice bag!
  3. So I took it out on the course today...nice club...definitely a good choice...the difference between forged and cast wasn't readily apparent on the first few three quarter swings...felt good but nothing really noticable...short shots I could really tell a difference in feel, and control was very good...I was able to go after the pin a little more aggressivley 90yds and in with this club as it was pretty confidence inspiring...I hit this club more than I wanted to today (missing GIRs like it was my job...) but was able to test it at a variety of distances, lies and approach situations...I need to get used to the club but the great feel coupled with good spin and confidence at set up has me very pleased with the purchase...my first pitch into a green today, a 80 yd three quarter swing, zipped back 15 feet...whoops! It was nice to have to work to take spin OFF of a club...one thing I need to get checked is the swingweight...the club was too light at the beginning of the round so I slapped some lead tape on it and it played better...need to regrip to a round with two underwraps and get the swingweight checked and add lead tape accordingly (not a fan of swingweighting via shaft weighting...feels funny to me...) I love this club and am looking to replace my 52* now...
  4. I picked up the xwedge in black, 58*/8* today...great first impressions and chipped a few around with it...can't wait to get it on the course tomorrow...
  5. So I checked around some more and have settled on getting the xwedge 07 after visiting a few shops around town...I had no idea that there was a Bridgestone/Tourstage store here in town (that's all they carry!)...Who knew? The shop is located around the corner from a golf store that I frequent, but it is on the second floor above a restaurant serviced by an open door and an unmarked stairwell...the new things you find out...but have some questions for the experts... Where are the clubs made (Endo?) Is the difference between the black wedge and the satin finish purely cosmetic or is there some different properties involved? Looking forward to getting my hands on it!
  6. I'm with you on everything but the head...personally I think the swing is freed up and more natural (leading to more accurate) when the head is allowed to slide a bit...the rest is bang on...
  7. The mizuno Mp fli hi with a tt300 ought to keep the ball down...it is an iron head type shape, and thus is able to be hit high or low much easier than a typical hybrid...

This is one of the main things that I work on when I practice...get this right and so many other things fall into place...nice video! The original inspiration that struck a nerve with me is this that I found grubbing around the net...different example of the same idea... http://mysite.verizon.net/gregjwillis/LESSON1.htm BTW I have no idea who this guy is...just some net guy who helped my game (along with a healthy dose of Jimmy Ballard...great book!)
  9. I'm no expert, but I demoed some and the look was identical...difference was in the shafting which was 1/2" shorter than American standard and the shaft was Nippon 950...don't know if the lie angle was different...
  10. I have never played those epons, but will tell you that the snake eyes mb's are some of the most suprising clubs out there...fantastic feel both balanced in in the hand and the feel at impact, weighting was very good for me and were accurate to boot...
  11. I have the bag with white graphics and blue highlights...the bag itself is great and has held up well (had mine for some time now (a year?...can't remember...) and has held up to 4-5 rounds a week on a caddy trolley)...there are a good amount of pockets and space although a bag like a Sun mountain or Ogio has more pockets and space, I can fit my size 14s in the belly pocket and all my junk in the rest...more than enough room, and quite light considering the overall size...I plan on another one like it once it is worn, but that won't be anytime soon...very satisfied...
  12. Yeah...the shops around here (Jakarta) are funny...they will have the latest clubs right next to some old stock from years ago...not familar with the tourstage line so they could potentially unload on a guy like me...did some research here on the site and at varions locales on the net and it seems that the epon wedges are very well received...personally I didn't like the look at address of the 208kgx and thought that there was too much bounce (confirmed by looking up the stats) but the older kgx look like a better fit as do the technictys...might have to take a second look...I believe that they have the x wedge (saw a picture on another site) in the shop as well...liked the leading edge in particular on the older model, will have to investigate...there were also some tour seidas, YuRuRi raw wedges (again, had no idea what they were but liked both at address...after net education I have a better idea) and some fourteens (which I HAD heard of before)...basically I'm a former cleveland then vokey user looking to go forged...luckily there are lots of quality japanese offerings that I can put my hands on...any input would be appreciated but at this point I'd have to say that my first choice would be the x wedge from tourstage if it is anything like the old model I looked at... BTW...thanks guys...this is a great forum! Now I just have to contribute more rather than just lurk all the time...
  13. i was at my fitter today getting my 51* wedge bent to 53* and a tourstage wedge caught my eye...didn't get the model name but it looks the same as a Bridgestone J33 forged wedge, just the Tourstage model...I did a few practice swings with it, checked the lie, rolled it to see the bounce and really liked the feel...the hosel is extra long and adds a nice heft to the wedge, nice big grooves and though I didn't hit it, I have played my friend's set of Tourstage clubs and they felt better than my mizunos...anyhow, it will most likely be in my bag within the week, just wondering if any of you have seen or tried one...
  14. I've tried many and to date the mizuno mp001, F50 and some kind of JPX model are the best heads that I have tried...
