Golf Shaft Recomendation
I would never consider X100's in any forged head wedge; especially 1018 forging from Scratch. I had my 2 scratch wedges built with PX 6.0 shafts @D5 SW providing with plenty of feel and trajectory control.

Tourstage Z101 and PX shaft question
hi-kip = high kick point shafts; vs. mid kick point on standard Rifle shafts. Satin finish was the finish of choice until 2yrs ago; when satin was supposedly discontinuted. Although that finish is still available through certain distributors that over stocked.

Tourstage Z101 and PX shaft question
Those Project X's of yours could be from almost any period. If satin finished, best guess they from hi-kp's similar to the current standard PX. I wouldn't mix shafts older with newer 5.5's, but that's me; I like my irons to feel very similar though out the set. I would suggest moving to either current "standard" PX's or "flighted" PX's; no personal interest in high-launch versions; they were designed for mid-hi caps. I have standard PX 6.0's (hi-kp) in my PW/SW/LW and 1 iron, and Flighted PX 6.0 in 2-9i. No knowledge of Bridgestone's Z101's. Good Luck

TM driver head bending odds
I suspect your club builder might be talking from his conservative experience From what I've heard over at bombsquad.com, bending drivers, woods and what not open or closed is somewhat common place for them; but, don't know that from fact. If you haven't checked them out might be worth a visit; if anything to read up.

Diamana spine
Here's what know for a "fact." I live relatively close to MRG so I phoned them before having my clubs built. I was told Diamana's do NOT need spining. Put the notch down, the label ends up being down; that's it. If some fitter comes up with something different - all I can say is, "I choose to believe company staff before any club builder, fitter or for that matter anyone online." good luck.

Diamana spine
notch down ... logo is down. I have a Whiteboard 73(S) x5ct in my driver and Redboard 83(S) x5ct in my 3wd. Can't tell ya more then that.

Wide Sole vs Narrow Sole
I play "narrow" soled low bounce wedges which helps when playing tight lies, and since I am a sweeper of the ball in a full swing - makes my shots easier with shallow divots "Wide" soles usually accompany higher bounce wedges and irons, offering the OEM more area to move and or lower the COG, and provides a wider platform in conjuction with bounce keeping the head from diggin deep. Narrow = sweeper Wider = digger

Fujikura Rombax 5X07 Feedback?
Although I've never played the 5X07, based on what Fujikura says on their website http://www.fujikuragolf.com/ - it's a mid -kp - which isn't for quicker tempo's IMO. I have a quick tempo and aggressive transistion and played Fujikura mid-hi-kp VP 80's for a long time. Now have a FT-5 tour issue head with a Whiteboard 73 (S) no tipping. Most quicker tempoed players I've encountered go with heavier shafts, either mid-high or high kick point, stiff tips, AND low TQ shafts seeking max distance but not without considering dispersion. I'd give away 10-20yds to insure I am in the fairway as often as my swing will allow. the ZCOM SIX has stats that appear fitting for someone with a standard tempo and somewhat slower SS. So, am I to understand your right ... you're looking for a shaft you can hit far and you don't care about dispersion?

Project X and Project X HL
I have DG SL-S300's in my backup MacGregor MB blades and played standard S300's in my 670 MB's; and tested Nippons (to light for me) Standard PX 6.0 has a high kp and is much stiffer then "standard S300 DG" shafts; as is & PX Flighted 6.0's. I presently play Project X Flighted 6.0's and have a PX standard 6.0 (high kp) in my 1 iron. You're should be a pretty strong swinger and or have a faster then normal tempo - I love mine ... I have no expereince with the HIGH launch versions.

Polite request for shaft installation info
I'll be interested in the response, as well. I am looking hard at FT-5 tour head.

FT-5 Tour 9.5* with Diamana Blueboard 63 S
Congratulations... another satified customer

Shaft Length for 14 clubs
Proper has become a variable with woods... standard steel is one length, graphite another. Graphite vary's too; depending on skills and desire. I have a 4wd that's 43"; the length of a graphite 3wd.

FT-5 Tour 9.5* with Diamana Blueboard 63 S
Fine club. I have a demo of that club though next Monday; but, with standard FT-5 .05 open face angle. So far, the shaft is to light for my tempo - goes pretty straight though, but I have to slow my natural tempo to much. The problem with slowing is during a tournament or serious game, my natual tempo comes out ... It's possible I will be ordering and FT5 9.5 but with either the Diamana Blue X5CT 73 or 83 (S) version. I suspect you know the G4T version has an extra inch of tip per Callaway's request.

Shaft Length for 14 clubs
I've only been playing for 18yrs - every iron set I've owned had a spread of .5"; except when it came to my wedges - I have all the same length as my 9i for feel reasons. The only other variable I've encountered has been some players have their clubs 1" over to maintain proper lofts and SW's, and maybe due to their height.

about beres mg801 w armrq b4
Although I am not familiar with your specific clubs, your LGS gave you correct information -- OEM heads delivered from the manufacture with graphite shafts are weighted differently to reach SW's - verses those same heads with steel.

Ozik Code 8 versus Diamana Blueboard 83
Been wondering about these, as well. But, my interest is for a 3wd. I've tested the Proto 73 (S); needs to be tipped for me. Wouldn't even consider anything "83" in driver. A bit to much for my 102 SS with faster then normal tempo.

Which is better?
You're statement is true... Most really good players and pros I know build up their grips which prohibits their hands from rolling over to quickly - effectively taking the left side out play. The question becomes how much build is to much.
-
Which is better?
You should try both setups with 2 test clubs and see firsthand. My thought would be nothing more the conjecture. Besides, even though my hands are larger then average - they are not nearly in the palming a basketball range;) On a related note, if your hands are that big, how long are your clubs???
-
Which is better?
The answer to your question is "standard" size + tape and "yes"; less grip material improves feel IMO. Course that depends on your hand size, there has to be a balance. For many years I tried all the new grips and sizes - and always came back to "standard Tour Velets (for feel purposes) with +2 wraps; until recenlty when Golf Pride introduced Decade MC Blue grips. GP's Decade MultiCompound Blue grip with (+1 left / +2 right) is the best of all worlds for me; cord under my left for helps with grip pressure, and rubber under my right dominate hand for feel when using the wedge grip.

new Project X Flighted shafts
I disagree with your fitters opinion. I recently ordered a "standard" PX 6.0 for my 1 iron - what showed up was a satin finish PX shaft. Since it didn't match my chrome PX flighted 2-PW shafts I phoned TT Rifle product mgr to find out what's what! Was told - the satin finish was about 2yrs old. A time when they didn't make chrome finish's on PX shafts AND flighted PX was just coming into the picture. Flighted standard Rifles did exist. Those shafts are still found (considered old stock) at some distributors. The original one you speak of - is actually the Standard PX shaft with h-kp. With the recent OEM deals with many club mfg's - demand for Rifle shafts has overwhelmed mfg. I sent mine back and received the chrome standard version a few weeks later. Keep in mind, RP only recently made chrome "finish" available on PX shafts.

new Project X Flighted shafts
Hi, I bought new irons in March 07 of this year with PX Flighted 6.0's shafts. I am giving a great deal of credit to the shafts. I took up the game at 40 - single digit after 5yrs. PX Flighted 6.0 shafts are incredible. They are the first shafts that I can swing as aggressively as able and they stay with my hands through impact. I am hitting my irons better and "longer" then any other shafts to date. Prior, I had custom standard Rifles @6.2 made from 6.5 blanks in Titleist 735.cms heads. Those shafts were a nice improvement over the harshness of S300's and X-100's. But, the problem with those irons wasn't only the shaft; the head design in the long irons worked against my desire to work the ball in conjuction with potential shaft lag in the long irons. A typical 6i (old standard Rifle shaft) was 160yd carry - Rifle Project X Flighted 6.0 has a slightly higher flatter boring trajectory carrying easy 165-175 - with my longest finishing in benign conditions at 189yds from the tee of a Par4. Old 4i=180yds - NEW 4i 190-195yd carry, 200yd finish; and my 2i = 215-220y when struck really well. Mind you, that's the case with each of these irons due to these shafts and head configuration. Course, the heads of X-Forged are really fitting to my sweeper swing being designed with sharp leading edges, almost -0- offset with low bounce and combined with PXF 6.0 shafts tell me I can make any shot needed:) Not meant to brag but, I love to play any difficult track up to 6400yds in length using just my irons and can still post in the 70's. -.. Can't wait to get a properly shafted 3wd and a "Driver" back in the bag.

53* Scratch Wedge Limited for TourSpecGolf
I suspect the pictures don't do it justice... What's the bounce angle and club OA length?
