Hello, I too was looking at the MX 25 when I was referred to this sight and became hooked on japan forged/made clubs. Goochin is a genius on clubs. You can always ask him and expect good solid advice. You may look at the Epon X or S types along with the Tourstage clubs. I just got a set of Tourstage 202's and love them. Softer, more forgiving, and better distance than my Titleist 804's. Probably won't ever go back to American made clubs unless some major revisions are made.

After researching clubs I was intrigued by the forged VIQ, but then it was suggested to me that I look at the 202's as well. Is there a really a $600-$700 difference in the two or should I look for a good set of 202's and save some money? What are your overall thoughts on the two? I've been getting some great feedback and advice, but want a little more before I pull the trigger. Thanks

Thanks for the tips and keep'em coming. The Japanese forged clubs have me hooked. I just want to be sure I find the right set since the are no demos in Dallas. I'll check out the ViQ's and the Epson's as well. Some of the brands I'm sure are great, just not commonly known in the states.

Looking at the ViQ's online it is difficult to tell how thick they are. Could you compare it to a club from thr U.S. in terms of thickness or even send the measurement of the sole? Overall what do you think of the irons? I am looking to purchase my first set from Japan, but need a club that is forgiving. I looked at the JPX E500, but your post has me interested in the ViQ now.

I just recently started to look into a new set of clubs (U.S. clubs at first). A friend just got the new TMade r7 forged clubs in from tourspecsgolf and recommended I check out the site. After seeing them and hitting them I am sold on clubs made in Japan. Nothing in the U.S. seems to compare. My problem is that I am a 13 handi-cap and need a forgiving club. I can't handle a "players club" right now. The Cobra UPI and Mizuno JPX E500 look forgiving, but I have nothing to confirm this. In your opinion what is a good forgiving club to get. I am new to the world of Japan made clubs, but am dying to learn more!!! Thanks for your help
