Miura CB 2006 vs. MB 5003
I doubt this is the real reason. But is it possible that the hosel are left smaller as the inside of the hosel are not finished and rusting may develop if stored for a long time. When it's bored, you don't have the problem of shafting into a potentially rusty hosel. Or maybe Miura just wants authorized clubmakers who expect it to do the shafting and torture nonauthorized clubmakers.

Miura CB 2006 vs. MB 5003
I don't know. I just play golf and all I really care about is how the club feels and performs. I don't set up the clubs myself, but I've heard from my clubmaker and from others that they've had to bore the hosels. Regardless, the gives me a spec sheet of headweight, swing weight, etc. when he's done and I've set up all my other sets to those numbers regardless of the type of head or different type of shafts I've tried. I think a good clubmaker makes adjustments to the clubs for the individual person. I've played other people's set of Miura and I thought they felt terrible. Like the old saying goes, if you go to a demo day and you like the demo, it's probably best that you buy demo rather than ordering a new set.

Miura CB 2006 vs. MB 5003
Having to bore the hosels in the Miura heads did not start with either the CB2006 or MB5003. It is a Miura trait that goes well back.

My Review on the George Spirits MB
I'd love for you to do a review on the MB-5003 and compare it with the GS. I know that I am real happy with the MB-5003 ... so much so that I bought a second set 6 months after purchasing the first one. I'm even thinking about getting a third set in a different finish at the beginning of next summer.

Which launches higher (EMB or AF101) ?
There are so many reasons why a shot would balloon. Easy adjustments without changing equipment include: Try teeing it up lower. Try hitting the ball lower in the face. Try placing the ball slightly more back in your stance. Adjust your angle of attack. If that doesn't work, you can try going with a lower loft or changing shaft. If you like Diamana, the white board is great for low trajectory shots. It's obviously cheaper to change the former before going out and buying new equipment.

The club that won't lie
I agree that if one is trying to improve his game, there is no better club than a blade to provide feedback.

Japanese Market For Clubs
AFter hitting with OEM offerings of Ping, Callaway, Nike, Cobra, Titleist in the U.S. for a long time and then hitting with some of the JDM stuff, I don't think I can go back. The average golfer in the U.S. just doesn't want to pay more than a few hundred bucks for a set of clubs. The other day, I was playing with my Miura 5003 and another golfer asked me how much I paid for the clubs. I said $400 bucks and he says that's about right. Then he proceeded to show me his "$200" Ben Hogan hybrid.

The club that won't lie
Bought 5003 heads from TSG. Then tried different shaft options with my clubmaker including Aerotech graphite and I settled on NS Pro. Graphite I find in general is better with vibration for off-center hits, but has the adverse effect of a muted feel as compared to steel. There is great pleasure in playing with blades, and the 5003 is great in terms of looks, address, and feel. On the feel category, I am quite impressed by all of the Fourteen irons, from the TC1000 cavity back to TB1000 blade. IMO, the Fourteen are subtly softer in feel than the Miura. I did not find the TB1000 to be any more forgiving than the 5003. But the Miura is so beautiful and performs well enough that on a psychological level it is more pleasurable to play with. Sometimes I play with the Miura CB-1006 cavity back, but if I consistently scored better with that I would stick to it. Between cavity back irons, I would choose the TC1000 over the CB1006. Personally, I don't think that playing with blades should be the end all goal. Many excellent players play with cavity backs. It all depends on what feels right to you. First, if any club could make me score lower I would go with that and generally that would be the club that you feel comfortable with both in terms of performance and psychology.

JDM Hybrids, Miura and Fourteen
I was thinking of ordering a hybrid from TSG, either the Miura or Fourteen UT-306. Has anyone hit one of these two hybrids and what's your opinion of them. Thanks.
