  1. i seem to really like the perfrect pro xline cords. i have also tried the iomic cords as well. ive always been a cord guy and could never get along with a straight rubber grip. i also play in humid conditions so the cord performs quite well in these conditions.

I am in a similar climate to you, at least part of the year, and the humidity has no impact on either the GripMaster leather or the Elite grips that I have used...

  2. Have you ever tried the masda slick fit? :-)

How are the elite grips? better durability than no1's and iomics?

I have not tried the Masda grips. When I had tried Iomic, there were issues with sizing consistency from grip to grip. Also, I found them a little too soft for me and did not do that well with moisture. My time with no1 is very limited since I tried and liked the Elites...

  3. Yep they are great. you can add a wrap of lead tape on the plug arm for SW adjustments.

I use a 44g weight under the grip on my irons. The max I have been able to achieve with their end cap is 14g before it gets too large... Hence the request for a metal one.

  4. I concur with Hutch and Ash on the Elite Grips. I use the A50 or A50 Star. The Star are cheaper, but don't offer the WCS option. I would love to see a heavier plug and have also tried to get CAD drawings of it to have some made but as of yet am unsuccessful.

In many cases the difference between models has to do with the color options and the pattern of the grip. Other differences have to do thickness. The detail on the site usually has measurements and good images to base your pattern choice on.

  5. ooooooooooooooooook... ive had enough time with the srixon new model to shed some highs and lows.

    first feel..

    NOT good enough!

yup, cant beleive it, while its not bad , nor poor , nor anyhting bad, its just

DULL. lifeless. ive got 2 sets one with GDs200 tour issue design tuning, and one with NS 2g18s (modus130s)

both are no where near as enjoyable to hit as my masdas and aftours.

but life not all bout feel!!!!

these perform, the v-sole is a great design, it makes hitting off harder surfaces a joy and clipping it clean wiht a forward lean really drive thru the ball.. there is minimal offset nad lovely looking rounded neck line. frames the ballbeautifully, and the slightyl larger blade head gives you plenty of confidence to hit the shot u envisage.

they are not quite as theatrical as msaller baldes, but thats a good thing, they are like a new model aftour in forgivness and playability, but with a duller feel whichis really quite "weird" bec last yrs model are as soft as a masrshmallow.

flight on these is LOW... oh yea, its low.

i was driing into these eystaerday with the modus130s going waht the ????

i was epxecting a high drop shot, no way these are piercing .

they sit and grip beautifully as well.

was the opposite fo what i was expecting to see, esp with the NS shafts.

and esp as i was using the asme shafts in my idbl prgrs alst week, the diff is unbeleiveable!

cud not have had a better day out thatyesrerday to tet these out.

these are LINKS irons if ive ever hit a set. they wil be my sydney set or hawaii set for sure.

love the heads, love the design, love the flight, but im so confused on the feel.

anyway they are a vastly differnt look to my other blades and a fantastic addition to the roster.

maybe a softer shaft is called for??????????????????????????????????

Gotta be shaft and swing related...

I have the 945 set up with a set of Diamana Thump shafts. Pure arch, not piercing in anyway. Extremely stable flight non the less, much like my Yam Tours '13 were with the same shafts. Very accurate and pretty long to boot. Also, definitely get that smash feel with these.

Great set of forgiving blades in the 945s. I would agree they do not give that sense of fear/demand concentration that the TS909/Miura BB/Compact Blade of choice at address and as such do not impart that same feeling of reward for having delivered a quality stroke to the ball and made it do what you want.

  6. Blades almost all the way... 5-P no brainer... I have started playing 3&4 irons as MC or CB just because the bad shots are not as penalized. I frequently play my long irons off the tee on several holes on my home course, with a couple being forced carries. The CB or MC, while not hitting better than my MB, are not as punished distance wise on the occasional thinned stroke. Not as concerned with pinpoint accuracy on those shots so the trade-off is worth it.

Overall I do agree with the sentiment that you won't hit one more middled than the other if they are built right, it is just the punishment when you don't that drives people to the CBs...

  7. sounds like a unique combo set, nob....got any pics? did you buy it pu all together like?

Those MB 909 on the BST look awesome. They look a lot like the Srixon Z945, anyone know if they share the same bloodline?

They are both made of metal, are called MB irons and look very nice. The 945 have a very different sole and face milling. The 909 have a very narrow sole and no milling on the face. Both feel great and with my limited game time on the 945 they both seem to be accurate...

  8. Would I be nuts to sell my 909s to get these in 3-PW??? LOVE the looks of them.

Yes, just buy the new model...

What is interesting the US site for Bridgestone does not have the new model, but the Japanese site has the press release about it. Wonder if it is just a name change and will keep certain models for JDM...

  9. The P1 was too soft and I lost 1.5 club lengths along with too spinny and a tad chunky for my taste. The P2 is more flexible with spin, sleeker all around and dense feeling as well as being average in the distance dept.

Mind you I have only played a 7 iron, but other than the grip it is built with the same shaft and spec sans lie angle. Also I had it on course and played probably 65 shots, at least, in that round with it.

Someone else said it, they did themselves a disservice by naming it the P2, too much baggage came with it.
