chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI'm not insane :finger: I just am in search of something unattainable. :spit: I guess I'm just never happy without a new set of irons in the mail to me. Sort of like someone I know with shafts  Just remember insanity is one step away from genius, or something like that! :wah:- General BS Thread
chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearSo I bought a set of X-12 PS to see how much better I hit the tanks. Got rid of the center shaft phantom 2, still deciding what to get. I have a 100 dollar credit at Bear's Best but I'm not sure what they have in stock. Noticed a lot of the TM staffers using the corza. I'll probably run by there some time this week and see what they have. I'm sorta going camping over the 4th so I guess that's sorta a group shared activity for the summer. If the Cally's don't work, I don't know what I'm going to do. If you can't hit 100% of GIR with those shovels you shouldn't be playing.- General BS Thread
chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearNah, no camping for me until July and then I'm going to have a very redneck Ohio fourth of july jubilee. Like 20 people are camping out by a huge stock tank, shooting guns, blowing stuff up and consuming mass quantities of Bud Heavy. Should be a good time. I done with golf for at least three more weeks. I gave myself a little vacation.- General BS Thread
chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI'm temporarily retired from the game. I hit a rut and instead of struggling thorough six hours of misery every weekend I've decide to lay off until I have a desire to get back out. I've decided that I don't have the inner fire to practice my butt off right now. I'd rather save the $100 bucks a week and spend it on other things, like peeler joints and pro's. I haven't touched a club in a couple of weeks and surprisingly haven't even thought about it. Maybe it's just the change in weather to 100 plus.- What kind of car do TSGers drive?

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI got the phone from Greg at Dakota Communications. I think his screen name is Dakotacom. I still love my phone, it is awesome. I highly recommend working something out with Greg, he was super to work with. Just got back in town from Odessa, TX and Albuquerque. Played Paa-Ko and Twin Warriors in NM. Paa-Ko is awesome but the greens are so tricked up it's ridiculous. In addition, the starter tells you from the get go to expect a 5 hour round and this was on a Friday, I hear weekend rounds push 6 hours easy. I thought I was back in Vegas at one of the resort courses for a minute. Twin Warriors is a nice course as well. I think Paa-Ko is rated number one and Twin number three in the state. Twin takes driver out of the hands of long hitters as a number of holes end at the 275-300 yard range. I'm not even going to go into how poorly I played but let's just say a number of lessons is in my immediate future. I'm not playing again until I see my local PGA professional. I have zero confidence in any aspect of my game at the moment. Have a great Memorial Day and a big thank you goes out to those of you who've served our country in the armed forces.- Let's make a deal

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI was in Dallas over the weekend and it was miserable. Makes me wonder how I ever tolerated the humidity. It's supposed to cool off tomorrow in that part of the world but there's a chance of thunderstorms both days I had planned to play. I'm sure I can find other ways to amuse myself if the 30% chance of rain comes to fruition. Straight? That's no fun whatsoever! Maybe I'll give that a whirl. The Accra I have has Maiyama(?) on it so he must have some connection to UST. I'm pretty impressed with it for what's supposed to be a lower priced model. The trajectory on it when I connect is exactly what I want it to be.- General BS Thread
chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearSo, my score was not any better with the new more forgiving irons but it was more putting than iron play. The range is still good but I can't transfer it over to the course. I'm killing the ball on the range. The G2 is long as hell though. I think I found something that really works with the Accra tour and G2. I uncorcked one downwind that was 340 but I couldn't keep it in the FW. If I try to cut it I pull the heck out of it and if I try to hook it I block it. Help! My irons are pretty much the same way on a much smaller scale. I shot 86 on Sunday that easily should have been a 79. I lipped out two birdies, boomeranged a bogey putt on one and took a 3 straight doubles on the back. One was on a par 5 where I was 110 out in two. Going to West Texas and New Mexico this weekend for a few rounds. Have a tee time Friday at Paa-Ko Ridge, supposed to be incredible. Have a good week guys.- Let's make a deal
Sorry guys was out of town this weekend all PM's will be answered shortly.- Let's make a deal
Forgot to add: 3-pw Cleveland TA-2's with s-300's. Specs are 5 iron 38 3/4" D7. 9/10 $300- Let's make a deal
Cleaning out all my back ups so here it goes 3-pw Z101's with Tour Concept X-1's. Clubs have been brushed to satin and are in great shape. I would say 8.5 out of 10 with just normal bag dings. 3-9 are d-5 and PW is d-6 brand new Lamkin Crossline grips. $450 510DF 8.5 with 660TR X, Club plays at 44" and has some Crown scratches that have been touched up with a sharpie. There is also a spot on the face of the club that looks like a sticker was on it at some point in time and is about an inch long. The space is brighter than the rest of the face. $250 300 Tour 8 with GD CP-02 Proto. Club has seen some use and looks like it was dropped on a cart path at some point in time so the head is probably about 7/10. Needs a new grip but is still a solid player. $160 975D 10.5 that I'm selling for a friend. This club has some of the worst sky mark scratches I've ever seen on it. It'd be a great club for a beginner. $35 or best offer on it. 580XD TP 7.5 that was bent to 8.5 and sits one degree open. It has a TP graphics NV-75 Stiff Proto shaft in it. The club has had hot melt added thru the sole. The trajectory on it is about equal to my current 8.5 degree G2. It's suprisingly high. $200 All prices shipped- General BS Thread
chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI am the worst about finding a fault in my playing partners game and then fixating on it for the rest of the round. Usually, with better players there's not an issue but with some of the ahem " higher handicapped" players I've teed it up with it kills my game. Here are two of my all time favorites. There's the freezer, he freezes over the ball for a 20 count before he starts his swing. I kid you not, 20 seconds. I started counting on about the sixth hole and it was very consistent. I have bar graphs that can be shared which show the corrolation between the increased freeze time and the decline of my score. Then there's my all time favorite, wrong club guy. He would pull a club, take three practice swings, address the ball and then back off and get another club. Did it on at least 14 of 18 holes. It was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. Even the freezer was annoyed by it.- General BS Thread
chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearAndrew- The Z's are going to be taking a little break in the corner for a while. Got a set of TA-2's to drive around the block, actually two sets but we don't need to talk about it. One tour, one retail for comparison sakes. The tours should be in my hand today. Hope you guys are sitting down for this, I might actually go practice today. The wind was blowing at 50 MPH yesterday, brutal.- Is "Badder-Ass" a Word?
chainsaw replied to DoubleAA's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearSweet pick up DubAA!!- wttf/wtb tm 04 LT'S or Cally X-14 Pro Series
Scratch the Cally's. Basically I'm looking for something more forgiving than my z-101's. I'm willing to look at anything, let me know what ya got.- wttf/wtb tm 04 LT'S or Cally X-14 Pro Series
Allright guys, I need some more forgiveness so I've narrowed it down to these two sets. Please let me know if you have anything. Would prefer s-400, px 6.0, Tour Concept S3 or even TFR 6.0- 6.5. Just ask that they be in at least 8.5/10. You can PM me or e-mail at [email protected]. Pics are gonna be a must. Have cash or some goodies for trade.- Project X
The PX do play a little stiffer. Look at a 6.5 probably to equate to the x-100's. Have you looked into the tour concepts? They act a little differently than the PX but they just seem to be so much smoother to me. The price is about the same as PX. - TA-2 Tour S-400
