I don't live here lately. I've been on the road almost non stop for the past few weeks. The summer months are by far the cheapest to play golf here Hip. As long as you don't mind the heat you can find some really good deals.

The rumor flying around Vegas after his pullout was he was down like two mil Friday night and was at the tables trying to win some of it back :money: I also heard from a well placed individual Phil might be in some financial trouble due to gambling losses. Everybody likes to talk about when he won on the Ravens but that years ago. Nobody ever likes to talk about their losses and it's been a while since you heard of any big wins :D

Man I am bummed! I have to go to Reno AGAIN tomorrow and Wednesday so that means no practice round watching for yours truly :mad: I have to work the damn skybox on Saturday so I won't get out on the course then either. On a positive note, I will be inside the ropes on Friday at least :spit: Hopefully we pull Mickelson this year.

Hip- I agree that there needs to be some type of day of respect set up for those who perished on Sept.11th. It seems that the relevance of the day is not recognized as it should be. There seemed to be hardly a mention of it. I realize that it did occur on a non news day(Saturday) this year but my how quickly we forget. On a golf note, I played Bear's Best on Friday and had a great time. THe course is in pristine shape and they actually have to let the greens grow to slow them down to a 10 for the tournament this year. They've been selected as one of the three hosts in this year's PGA tournament, which finally secured a sponsor. Thank you Michelin!

I'm addicted to the WSOP and WPT on the travel channel. A lot of big names went down to am's in this years WSOP. The internet is making conventional poker wisdom go out the window. Moneymaker is out, Negraneu, Men Nyguen, Phil Helmuth, Phil Ivey are top names in the game and they're out day 1. That's the equivalent of the top 10 going out of the Match Play championships on the first day. I saw who won but I've forgotten his name so I'm totally into the main event on ESPN.
