Royal Collection VS Tour
I must not have hit it on the screw. It's not an irritating sound for sure, but it was sounding hollow for me. Sound is quite subjective. Other than that, I thought it was a solid driver.

Royal Collection VS Tour
They have to fix the sound on the RC driver. Otherwise, it's really not a bad driver at all.

Royal Collection VS Tour
I'm the rare person who has not been a fan of RC woods. The VS tour irons on the other hand are very nice irons. They have a very soft + "meaty" feel to them similar to the Yamaha Tour V, and I prefer them over the Yamaha. I believe they are Endo forged. This combination of soft + meaty is hard to achieve and I think only an Endo forged iron can do it, but not all Endo forged irons have it. You can do a search in the GTI blog. Gocchin wrote a very good review of these irons.

Review on Yururi flat black stin with ns pro 1150 tour x flex
Im not doubting you, and whos to question on the internet no less. i just think its pretty awesome since there are pros making millions of dollars on the tour that dont have that kind of swingspeed. Then again golf is not all about ss, but having fast ss makes a huge difference.

Im jealous. But i enjoy golf no less with my 95mph ss.

Review on the PRGR Egg Spoon
They are both fantastic clubs. The new one looks futuristic and frames the ball better. Stock shaft on the new one is better, although alot of people change shaft. For the avg golfer, stock shaft is fine though slightly softer. Easy to hit, forgiving and goes straight and long. Off the tee, I give a slight advantage to the old one because of the less shallower face. New one has much better sound and solid feel. Old one can feel hollow. On short and tight par 4 on 2nd shot on par 5. I cant think of an easier or better club. Also it comes with a nice headcover made specifically for the club.

question on endo forging
Yeah, it can be down right hazardous out there between the pines. The most common reason why someone change their swing over time is aging. If only we can figure out how to fix that aging problem.

Sound is the biggest improvement.

Review on Yururi flat black stin with ns pro 1150 tour x flex
Yeah, tour pro ss 115-130. Tiger has been clocked to 135. I think KJ Choi is 115 when they clocked him at a tournament.

question on endo forging
There isn't one way to play golf for sure. It's whatever works and doesn't cause too much injuries whether to the wrist, elbow, shoulder or back.

question on endo forging
Change your angle of attack. From my experience, a shallower swing prevents digging and is more consistent for impact ... and also requires less range time and practice at least for me. Well going to graphite will surely have better dampening properties and much easier on your arm.

Review on the PRGR Egg Spoon
Not the new Evo, just the older LY-01. Also have tried the LY-02. Quite happy with the FW80 and I think there is a little more control there. I love the smoothness of this shaft.

Review on the PRGR Egg Spoon
FW80 is smoother, IMO. LY is of course lighter, feels like it has thinner walls, more perceivable kick in the same flex.

question on endo forging
950gh is the best feeling, and personally i found that going to 1050 and 1150 the feel is not as good as the 950 as if 950 doesn't already launch high, they now have 950 HT which is even higher launching. for people who need to get the ball up in the air, this is a good shaft

question on endo forging
felt boardy to me, definitely too much for my weak swing i play between stiff/reg, driver ss 95 i have tried the regular tour ad and those were better, but still i go back to steel imo, hard to beat ns pro 950 or 1050 with the right head

Its for the stronger player.

JDM wedge triumvirate
There was no such thing as a gap wedge at one time. Manufacturers have been making clubs with stronger lofts with the claim that there clubs were longer. Its the same reason why we have drivers with 46" shafts. That said, 3 wedge set up is a good idea. I play 52/58, the former with low bounce and latter with high bounce With the right grind can open the 52 up and 58 of course i can always close the face. But with tight lies, its hard to use the 58 or open it up. May be someone can help me with the right grind for that. Of course, the easiest solution is to get a 60 or 62 with low bounce.

question on endo forging
Definitely agree. It's a big feat to get a softer/solid feel than Tourstage MB's. Tourstage MBs are sweet, but even among different models have varying degree of softness such as the old x-blade and the 901. NS Pro shafts also known for good feel, some models better than others. The right graphite shaft and the right head can work. But after experimenting with so many different graphite shafts in irons, I gave up ... mainly because of cost.

question on endo forging
As a relative generalization, i think so. I tend to think miz were mushy. Some older epon models had a clickier feel. Some miura are really soft. I haven´t hit everything, but i think enough to tell the sometimes subjective difference. I did own a set of black mb5003 and they did not wear well, but clubs are meant to be used and not just to be looked at. The finish may have faded, but that´s it and doesn´t affect longevity of the club.

question on endo forging
Telling a golf club addict that steel is steel is like telling an eskimo snow is snow or a Japanese person rice is rice. Finding the match between head and shaft is the part of the fun of the search or the agony depending on how one looks at it in terms of forever lusting after what is possible that has to be tried.
-
question on endo forging
MB-5003 are very nice. As an example, there were 3 finishes for these and 3 different subtle feel. In terms of "softness" - black version softer than satin softer than chrome. The black heads also were heavier.

question on endo forging
Mizuno MBs, the ones that I tried, are too soft for me. Don't like it. If you typically find them too soft, you would do better with Epon, easily. I like Miura feel, but not in every one of their models. Zestaim I found not soft enough for me. Of course, the caveat here is that we are not accounting for the type of shaft used.

question on endo forging
couldn't have said it better myself ... except mizzys can be softer than endo.

question on endo forging
It depends on how you define "best." Certainly, I think they are a premier forging company. But so many other companies use endo to forged some of their top irons and these irons can have different character and feel such that it becomes hard to characterize a particular "endo forged feel." Typically, endo forging is synonymous with quality.

TS 701G vs. Callaway Legacy Irons
I was quite impressed with the feel and the performance of the callaway legacy forged when i hit them. These are very under-rated irons. I guess the rubber insert somehow dampens the clickiness of the pocket cavity design while enhancing feel. If these fit your eyes at address, they are a great set of irons.
