Continental Golf
I've been a customer of their retail operation, Carolina Custom Golf, for ten + years and had Continental Golf refinish, reshaft my metal woods. Excellent quality and theyare an official manufacturer repair center for many brands. Turn around time depends on their backlog; call them to find out. Generally, approximately ten business days from receipt of your club, then add return mailing time to you.

Mickelson's Warm up routine
The last Masters Hogan played, 1967 I think, I watched him practice though his entire bag on a late Tuesday afternoon the same way. Just me and my Dad and another lucky spectator sitiing on a bench about fifteen yards away from Mr. Hogan. His caddy never took a side step...one bounce and in the shag bag, except for his driver, which he was hitting into the ivey on the back fence! Incredible experience.

FORGED - Mizuno vs. Titleist
Played / owned the MP: 29's, 14's (2), 33's, 30"s Titleist:681's, 690's, 680's Mizuno wins, which is why I have a custom set of 33's on the way. The Mizuno forging is superior to Titleist with the exception of the 681's; their forgings by Hoffman were very good and on a level with Mizuno for feel. The finishing of the Mizuno forged blades is without peer. I think I have cured the shot trajectory "issue" with the 33's by lower lofts; their feel and foregiveness are special.

titleist pt...graphite or steel???????????
If you want to keep the original swingweight. The Dynamic Gold shaft is 124 grams +/-. Most heavy graphites come in @ 80 + grams, so it is difficult to exactly match the weight of the DG S300. You can try a 90+ gram graphite shaft and add 1/2 " to 3/4" to the standard 42.5" and come close to the original swingweight. You need to get with a trusted clubmaker to fiqure the specifics.

titleist pt...graphite or steel???????????
I have owned two...great clubs! My club maker told me the hosel has a .315 diameter and could not accommodate the .335 tip without boring out the hosel. Regardless, it is a smaller diameter and only a very skilled club maker can do the boring to accommodate the .335 tip. The factory would not do it, nor my skilled club maker. You will see a few on ebay with a .335 shaft, I would be very cautious since it is a very delicate process and easy to mess up. I sold mine as a result since I wanted graphite and have decided to purchase one of the original PT's (three line) designed for .335 graphite tips or find a 970 silver (shorter lower line) at a reasonable price...still looking!

Srixon UR-X Ball
haribo, Today, my golf shop gave me a couple of sleeves of Hx Tours to try...afterI purchased a new Callaway ERC Fusion...what a deal!! Seriously, I will provide a report for you in the next week or so. I have significant playing time with the other balls. My golf shop retailer says the Hx Tour will outperform all of them and he is not a Callaway player! Later, Warren

They don't shred at least for me. With the Pro V1X & ProV, I often have to dig the paint out of the grooves of my wedges.

TM Weight Port - Installation question
I understand some preferred TM club fitters have them available. I intend to purchase mine via the original seller of my R500...he is the owner/operator of another golf board.

Leather grips
I agree. I would have nothing else on all my clubs, especially liked the Neumann's. Really enjoyed tinkering with the grips, but they required TLC! The most delicate were the Nicklaus type with the paper underlisting...great feel of the club head though. The new slip ons sound intriguing and may be worth a try!

TM Weight Port - Installation question
I've heard the same removal process works very well. Peel off the paper on the new weight and apply...stays in there without any problems or so I've read numerous times. I intend to do it myself on my R500.

taylormade hank keune mitsubishi rayon shaft - Tour???
I bought a R580 XD 9.5* about one month ago with a Mitsubishi Kuehne S: 82 grams, 3.0* torque. A very good OEM shaft. Similar to the Titleist Speeder in feel and performance. Very tight performance; good trajectory, side spin control, and feel...really launches the ball. Mine flexes to 6.5 on the rifle scale. Despite the qualities of the shaft, it cannot overcome the negatives of the head for me. Too large and too muted a sound...thought there was a sock on the head at impact! I'm sticking with my R500 Tour!

Taylor Made 500 shaft ?
D, The Proforce is more "tip stiff" than the NV 65 which will lower your ball flight. The Speeder 660 has a softer tip with 3*+ torque; an excellent lightweight shaft which should give you excellent results. Why don't you try an NV 65 shaft in the R500 to regain the trajectory you want? Plus, it is less expensive than the Speeder. The R500 is too good a head to sacrifice. I really like my R500 with the 757 Speeder.

Srixon UR-X Ball
hairbo, Easy solution...shed those snowshoes and come on down to NC! Take in Pinehurst, and break out those Srixon Ur-X's on #2! You'll need your sunscreen though, it was 70* + here last Saturday!

Srixon UR-X Ball
Me too. They are still not available here in Toronto. Also, very interested to see how much they will go for. The ProV1 (don't like the X) goes for $64.95, the HX Tour $59.95 (all prices CDN of course). Really like to know how the URX will fare compared to that. haribo Purchased my dozen last week @ Carolina Custom Golf @ Pineville, NC for $32.95 Mike, I believe you mentioned a trip to Myrtle Beach...Martin's Golf should have them. Try their website.

Titleist Tour PT
Two line or three line on sole? Swingweight, length, type grip? Weight of head? Headcover? Thanks, Warren

Srixon UR-X Ball
The URX is nearly as long off the driver as the PRO V1X for me; good trajectory, little crisper feel, very good in the wind. The iron play is where the URX out performs the X for me. The ball seems to carry more, maybe 3 to 5 yds with penetrating flight. I have hit some amazing iron shots this winter to elevated greens that the X could not match in mid summmer! The URX had great trajectory/carry and distance with the drop and stop capability the X could not match. Chipping and putting are as good if not better than the X for me; the URX has excellent green side feel with the spin available if needed. Durability is no comparison vs. the X; the URX does not sheer like the X. I'm saving my last few X's for warmer weather. Just filled my bag ball pocket with URX's! P.S. I have not tried the HX Tour yet. It will have to be extraordinary to move the URX out of my bag.
