Yes, like I wrote, women usually can muster around 200 yards from a drive. That's not out of the question. But a woman going down to a FW, whatever FW it is, and ADD 40 yards to her tee shots compared to her driver? It's just not believable. Some FW can rival the driver when it comes to length, but to ADD 40 yards? I don't believe it.

I don't think he mentioned "FW" in his posts. It's a 13* Ryoma D1 driver.

They are unplated so I don't think that the finish will hold up over time like the satin version.

I haven't seen one specifically made for that purpose (I could be wrong) but, they do have a couple of clutches/bags that I guess you can use as one.

That's the Graphite Design Tour AD BB series w/c is the stock shaft of the Yamaha Tour model.

For distance & ease of use... The PRGR Egg Spoon is still the reigning king... although, I've read that the Ryoma's giving it a run for its money.

I've read about people who have used cotton balls, yarn or fiberfill to muffle the sound of drivers. Not sure tho what the combination together with hot melt/rat glue would do to it.

I have/had the Crazy FX435 with a Crazy Black 50 and it is/was awesome (until it snapped) - super long, great roll, low spin, etc, etc.

Won't your warranty card cover it assuming you're the 1st owner & it snapped under normal circumstances?

It's actually 3 for every 1/2". Increase in length= increase in SW & vice-versa.

Just went through a full fitting (more detailed post coming). The fitting studio has a full and I mean FULL line of JDM gear in addition to all the US stuff. The fitting lead it's way into the JDM gear and I was just blown away. The feel was superb, quality outstanding and the numbers spoke for themselves.

Again full detailed post coming, but I'm going to be a proud new owner of Epon AF-Tour Blacks with Diamana Thump X shafts.

Never thought I spend this much change on a set of clubs, but if it cures my ho'ing, then it's worth it. Also never imagined I'd be fit for those shafts, but this combo on average gave me a 18 yard increase in iron distances. I've never achieved the numbers that I was getting out of these. The lighter shafts increased my SS significantly and the X flex (any other shaft specs) did a great job combatting my early release. The numbers will get even better as these were without the lofts/lies being tweaked for me.

I did hit the 502's further but I had more confidence in the look of the AF-Tours.

Oh yeah... FORGIVING!!!!! The fitter was laughing at me because I kept saying... "I can't believe these are a blade!" over and over. They have to be the most forgiving blade ever produced.

Love it!! Had a round with it. Considering that I hit it off a waste area, off some mulch, & out of the beaches a number of times, it held up quite well. As previously stated, a touch more spin would have been great but, I'm not complaining. Feels like it just rockets off the driver & has a soft feeling off my putter!

Robb, as bogeydog mentioned, I think getting the right shaft profile is the key for you. I'm surprised that you found the CB46 7.2 stout. I swing much slower than you & just came back from gaming a 6.7 w/o any range time. I found it quite easy to load & I just let the shaft kick through impact. I actually came away quite pleased with the bombs I hit with it.

I would give it some time. It takes awhile to dial in a new club especially, the driver. I would also try to replicate on course conditions as much as possible (get rid of the stubby tees) or better yet, take it out if the weather permits.

It's really about what gives us the best results & enjoinment ;)

Although, purists will probably raise a fit & tell you that you should drop the hybrids & go back to hitting a 2 iron.
