Got to hit my new Ryoma/Crazy
Must be or could be the model of Crazy. I did not like the feel of it at all. Would love to try a RD in my Crazy 460 but that is a lot of coin on hope.

Got to hit my new Ryoma/Crazy
Don't get me wrong the ultimate reason for me was the feel of the face as well as the address profile. I knew I could re shaft if I was really in love with the head. I do not like muted heads. I want to know from sound and feel when it is a pure shot. I do not want a driver to sound or feel the same no matter the contact. I wanted to like this head because it is a real looker for sure.

Got to hit my new Ryoma/Crazy
I think this is why i sold this driver to Paul so quickly. 7.2 just seemed too stiff for a 106 SS.

Got to hit my new Ryoma/Crazy
I hear what you are saying and I agree. What I was seeing was a high ballon shot that hit and rolled maybe a yard or two. I spoke to miyazaki today for awhile. Very helpful staff. First a few other things have come to light since my original post. I am embarrassed for starters. When I got the club back from the guy who put the shaft in I did not review my original spec requests. I grabbed the club and went to the driving range and then to my course for 27 holes. I asked for the driver to play at 45 inches in total length. I did not check the club when i picked it up. From the start I could tell that it had a weird feel to it. It was tough to get through the ball. The shaft is 61 grams so i was confused as to why it was so tough to get through the ball. Well you know where this is going. I got home and realized that the club was playing 47 1/2 inches. I was stunned. I do not like anything close to that length. Feels like it takes a day to get to the ball. The guy at Miyazaki laughed when I told him this and rally urged me to trim the butt so the driver will play 45 inches. He suggested that I tip the shaft 1/2 inch if the launch is still too high at 45. From the rep- this shaft is a high launch shaft but should not balloon and die. So I will get the shaft back in and this time make sure it is 45 inches when I pick it up. Worth a try then I will know if it is time to move on.

27 holes with my Crazy 460/Miyazaki white today
Good thought, I did consider the Ad Di but I read that it can launch a little high as well. With this head I believe a lower launch shaft for me would do it.

A little too high launch for. I did consider the Ahina but I really like the Miyazaki line

Got to hit my new Ryoma/Crazy
Hey paul just wanted to let you know that I really like the feel of the Crazy 460 and the look of the club as well. I need a lower launching shaft but I hope to have that done soon. Just a thought for another club to consider if the Ryoma does not work out.

Got to hit my new Ryoma/Crazy
This is so important for people to know. I had a buddy who was killing the Tit. D3 on the launch monitor and was 35 yards shorter in real conditions than his old driver. I know they can juice the sims sometimes but still it was silly how far off it was.

27 holes with my Crazy 460/Miyazaki white today
In fairness it was about 55 degrees with a chilly wind. What upset me was hitting my R11 3 wood with the GD ad-di 7S almost to the same spot as the Crazy 460. I really think it is the shaft and I am searching a for Miyazaki Indigo or a Black to try next. I really like the look and feel of this head. I do not want to give up on it.

27 holes with my Crazy 460/Miyazaki white today
Good info. Thanks. I think the Kiyoshi or the Miyazaki black may be my next move. At least I can try these without dropping another $600 on blind hope.

27 holes with my Crazy 460/Miyazaki white today
Every now and then I will get off and release too early. My biggest point of concern was the good swings with center head contact. Just did not produce the ball flight and distance. I normally have 3 or 4 good drives in a round 285-295. My other drives range in the 250 to 270 range. I do not go for it on every drive. I hit several pure drives today and could only get 275 out of these. I can get 260 plus with my 3 wood when the swing is pure. I just feel in my gut that this head will produce big distance with the right shaft.

Could have been the combo. Just did not have the feel I was looking for.

27 holes with my Crazy 460/Miyazaki white today
I was able to try a Cb46 in 7.2 in a Ryoma vspec. Just could not get enough out of it. I did not like the Ryoma head either. I had an Oban Kiyoshi in my g20 but I sold it to pay for this combo. Maybe I will give the Ahina 60 a go. I had it in an R11 and it had a great kick. I am tempted by the Crazy tj46 Nero. I have been to a fitter so I know what launch angle and spin to look for in real conditiOns. I could tell by ball flight and lack of rollout and total distance that this was not a good combo.

27 holes with my Crazy 460/Miyazaki white today
Played 27 holes today with this new driver. Ok to start this is my home course. So distance comparisons are accurate compared to my last 2 drivers. The Crazy 460 really suits my eye. I love the look of this head from address and everywhere else. A real eye catcher. I really like the sound and feel of this club. For me the Crazy is more forgiving than my Ping G20. This surprised me a little but it was obvious. I only had 1drive that got away from me other than that I hit a lot of fairways today to shoot 2 over for 27 holes. The Bad- this hyped bomber is not any longer than my g20. In fact my R11 3 wood was only 5 yards shorter than the Crazy from the tee. Our course is a 9 hole so I was able to hit and compare on the same holes. I really feel that the Miyazaki Kusala white is not the shaft for this club. The 460 is a higher launch head and this shaft is not a good match. I need a lower launching shaft that is not a heavy shaft. I do not care for anything beyond 70 grams. I really want to give this head another try but I need the right shaft. My ss is 102 to 106. I normally play stiff flex. The 7.2 in the crazy shafts was a little too stiff feeling for me. I had several drives ballon on me today. I was only able to get it down by moving ball back in my stance. Not many long balls today which was disappointing considering this clubs claim for distance. Help me out please!

SOLD pls close thanks
Spoon if this goes much lower I will have to pick it up for my R11 3 wood. It is a rocket launcher now with the AD DI.

Got to hit my new Ryoma/Crazy
Hey paul I hope it works out. I guess I am weird but every club that I have held on to was solid from the start. Now like all things the love affair can grow cold over time (only the driver this year) but for me I know when I am on to something. I still have my cheapo set of Adams A4 forged irons and I have no reason to give them up. They feel great and have good forgiveness and they are stupid long for me. I knew after 5 minutes on the simulator that these were right for me. Same experience with my plain jane R11 3 wood. It just felt right for me and the distance was very good for me, a shortish hitter. I am still not sure that the CB46 7.2 was too stiff for me. I do not like the feeling that the club is fighting me through impact and that was what I got with this combo. I still believe in the Ryoma and I may take another chance if the Crazy 460 does not work. Oh the head came today and like all JDM products it looks great. I like the face and top line better than the Ryoma for me. We will see what happens. We have 61 degrees here Saturday so hopefully I will find out. If you are willing a shaft change may be in order before you give up on the Ryoma. I guess I just chickened out on going further.

Miyazaki Shafts
My ss ranges from 102 to 106. My 7 iron is about 174 average and 185 stepped on. Not real long as my irons are adams A4 forged and they are strong. PW is 45* I swing hard but not out of my shoes hard. I must say in fairness that my Quadra will a little softer at impact but the numbers were almost identical in the R11. The Miya black just seemed to roll out more in real play conditions.

Not another Crazy 460 + Royal Deco review!
Sorry I was referring to the Crazy Royal dec shaft. Did not know if it would balloon on me if the Kusala white does not work out. From what I have read the tj46 N sounds like a good possibility for me.

Miyazaki Shafts
These are great shafts and can be had for $175 new on Ebay if you find the right dealer. I have had a Miyazaki Black 61 that was very low spin in an R11 head. I have a Kusala White on the way to go into a Crazy 460. Can't wait to try it. Very underrated high quality shafts. Smooth is the word that comes to mind. The Miya Black for me out performed my $450 Quadra Fire.

Not another Crazy 460 + Royal Deco review!
I have this exact head coming on Wednesday. I want to try my Miyazaki kusala White shaft in it first. Would this shaft work for a player swinging 102-106 or would it ballon? Thanks for the review.
