UK/Euro members: Nippon 1150GH Tour Stiff Shafts for Sale
For Sale: Nippon 1150GH Tour Stiff Shafts (3-PW) in Parallel tip, already butt cut to give a standard 38" 5 iron. No tipping. These were bought by me brand new. Installed in a set of Tourstage irons and played about 10 times before unintstalling. The shafts are all cut in half inch increments and will give a standard length (eg 5 iron, 38") when installed. The shafts were pulled by myself (clubfitter) and are in "as good as new" condition. The shafts have an 8gram led plug in the hosel which will probably be needed by the next user to achieve a proper swingweight. If not, the lead plug can be easily removed by any trained clubfitter. No scratches or marks of note on the shafts. Tips are already prepped. €100 euro + €10 to cover shipping. Probably only makes sense to ship to UK and Europe only. Any questions, feel free to ask.

WTT: Black Gold for Nippon NS Pro 1150
I have a set of 8 Black Gold Stiff .370 parallel tip shafts that I want to trade for a set of Nippon NS Pro 1150 Stiff. The Black golds are virtually new. Only the 4,5 and 6 were butt cut to std length (38" 5 iron). The rest are pre-trimmed and just need to be butt cut to length. Likewise, I will be looking for a set of NS Pro's that are in good condition (not hard or soft stepped in any way) and where the playing length of the five iron comes to 38". I will check the BBGM of my irons to find out what my raw length need is, if someone is unsure. Paypal. International TSG'r. thanks.

Nippon and Rifle comparisons?
I have only ever hit Rifles in demos but I play the 1050's (hardstepped S) in my ironsand really like them. Just a couple of things to bear in mind in addition to what the above posters have added. The 1050's play a little softer so you would need to be looking at the X rather than an S to equate to 6.0 in a Rifle. Mine are harstepped once and I reckon they equate to 5.7/5.8. Apart from that the lighter weight will increase your SS, they do tend to hit higer with a more pronounced load than the rifles. They also feel a lot smoother. I think Rifles make swinging hard work, not so with the Nippons. Enjoy.

Grafalloy Blue vs. HTD
My take: I was not a huge fan of the Blue for amateurs. I think that shaft is really aimed squarely at the pro's. Dont get me wrong, lots of guys play it but I think its a fairly demanding shaft. If you played an R in the stock Cobra (made by Aldila?), the R in the Blue may still be too stiff for you. But your swing speed suggests an R in the blue would be fine. Its real advantage is that it keeps the ball in a narrow dispersion range. But if a player finds it hard to load, this may result in low ropes that dont go very far. I think this is why the Pro Launch came out. That shaft is gaining much broader acceptance amongst amateurs. You might want to consider this one ahead of the Blue. Plus you would handle a tipped R or S in this no problem. The HTD, whilst it went through a phase of high usage by Tour pro's, is a fairly forgiving shaft and suitable to many levels in my opinion. There are two types so I am not sure which you are referring to. The GX range is the more 'amateur' shaft. The CB range, more used by better players. I hit the GX in te past. Easy enough to load, fairly predicatable shot patterns, I would go for this or the CB ahead of the Blue certainly but maybe give the PL a shot too.

bigdawg replied to Sgt_Slaughter's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearHip - thats what I thought (though u expressed it a lot more succintly than I could've!) When I re-size it in some program (Microsoft something or other) it became a static gif. Must try and send it as a file to someone that has Fireworks and they can send it back to me. That would work right?

bigdawg replied to Sgt_Slaughter's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearHey, he used to be animated. When I resized (from 286 down to 150) I lost the animation. Anyone know a way past that? :-D

Coming Over The Top!
This is a problem I fight all the time. So I am always writing down drills 'cos one might work better than the next and so on. But in the posts above we have two guys suggesting two contradictory approaches to the same problem. The first guy advocated an open stance and the second a closed? Are they both right or what? CLMelton: Once you are in position, move your left foot four inches away from the line and then go ahead and hit the ball. BBurke45 Next, slide your right foot back until the toes of your right foot are even with the heel of your left foot.
