  1. Thanks for all the input. I may just drop the 21* club all together and add another wedge. When I find myself inbetween distances, I can choke down on my 5 wood. The F9 looks like the one I will go with, know for a shaft!?!?! I really like Fujikura but have recently fallen in love with Graphite Design, love the YS 7+ and the Tour AD in the SYard T388.

  2. I love the flight and run I get from the 15* Egg but the Crazy 6.9 shaft is to weak for me, a 7.2 or 7.4 would be perfect. The lower ball flight and runout helps here in South Texas when the wind kicks up and on the hard turf we have. I just picked up a Syard XV 15* which I finally got to hit and I love. Will be selling the Egg as soon as I can take some pictures.

If that 21* Egg can give me the same ball flight and run that would be great. For now I am using a 23* Ping Anser with TFC 800 stiff shaft and it is ok. really want to try Ryoma and thought why not the F9?

I would like to know if anyone has some on-course experience with a PRGR Egg 21* with the Fubuki 65 stiff shaft, or any other, as well as Ryoma D-1 F9? I am looking to add these to clubs to my bag but would like some feedback.

I have a 2013 Egg Spoon in 15* but the Crazy FW-80 shaft in it doesnt agree with me. I love the head though and would like to get it in 21*. If the F9 can perform like the driver reviews I have read, then I see a lot more chances at eagles for me!

  4. My two cents on the new Egg. I just bought one from another member and I took it out to the range with my new to me but gently used Miura Retro Blades. I was concerned about the lightness of the M43 shaft as swung it around the yard and it showed up at the range. I am a sweeper/slider and my natural ball flight is high with a 5-10 yard fade when I am a little off and the occasional 5-10 draw out of nowhere!

Was a little concerned with the back flange and turf interaction and as mentioned, the lightness of the setup. The ball jumped off the face and that was with some "dead" balls I happened to get at my range. I did pull a few shots with my normal swing though. Turf interaction was great, not that there was much at my range with the weather we have had, just a little collection in the groove on the sole. Did not try it off a tee for some reason, I was enjoying the sound and feel off the turf to much.

For the best results, I had to slow my swing tempo down a lot with the stock shaft to get consistent results. This is fine for the range but not for the course, at least for me. I am looking for a shaft to put in it and I am thinking GD AD BB 6s, UST Mamiy ATTAS 3 60s or Crazy FW80 6.9.

Will be taking it to the course this weekend and hope to have some great results and try it off the tee box. The track is tight and hilly and I think the Egg will perform just fine if I remember to slow things down! Cheers

I was fitted recently as I am looking to purchase a set of Miura PP-9003 irons. Aerotechs Steelfiber i95 Regular flex shafts fit my swing the best for irons as did the Fujikura Motore Speeder 5.1 Stiff shaft for driver.

Would like to know which Crazy and Quadra shafts would be similar to these two shafts?

  6. Thanks Duffer19, I love them! I have tried the 53's but do not see a reason to change right now at least while I am falling back in love with the game. Will need to replace the PW, FW, SW and LW soon though. I just found out that Joe Powell Golf can refinish and possibly reshaft my Blondes. Thanks for all the great information. Now have to thing about shafts......wonder what a Quadra or Crazy would do for my maple wonders!?!?!?!
